The Land of the Free - A Conservative Politics Web Site

Initial e-mail to Mr. Greg Poole.
Too lazy to read the e-mail I sent and too scared to confront the questions posed, this canned response was returned.
My follow-up e-mail confronting the assertions by the Caney Creek Administration concerning their acusations that the reports from KPRC Channel 2 Houston
covering this story were false.
There has been no reply concerning this final e-mail and it is clear that Canny Creek, Mr. Poole and Ms. Ogden are not willing to further their assertion that Channel 2 lied for obvious legal reasons.
E-mail notifying Mr. Poole and Ms. Ogden that they have won the first ever F.A.R.T Award.  They have not responded.

RE: THANK YOU!

Mr. Greg Poole:

I want to take a moment to thank you. I want to thank you teaching our children. I want to thank you for not teaching them how to make an independent and rational judgement based upon the situation at hand, but rather how accept that all situations shall be pigeon holed into a single category to be treated equally.

I want to thank you for allowing me to have an example of how spineless local bureaucrats allow themselves to be bullied by zero-tolerance policies so that they can be held exempt from ever having to actually make a decisions that might put their own butts on the line like those of us in the real world must do day after day. I want to thank you for teaching our children that helping another person in distress is bad. And not only just bad, but so bad that it warrants removal from a school which students are mandated to attend and paid for with tax dollars from citizens.

You should have held Brandon Kivi and his actions, whether the school nurse felt that Andra Ferguson was in mortal danger or not, as something to be proud of. Instead you teach that such actions are trash. Furguson herself was quoted as saying "It made a big difference. It did save my life. It was a Good Samaritan act". I think that a 15 year old girl should be intelligent enough to know if it indeed did or not. Neither you, the nurse, or any of your local bureaucratic playmates would be able to tell otherwise until perhaps she had been rushed to the hospital or worse, dead. Breathing disorders are serious and they can scare the living crap out of those inflicted with them when they strike.

But I don't expect you to understand that. Instead you still stumble through life searching for your spine. Maybe someday you will find it. Maybe some day you will be in a life or death situation and no one will come to help you for fear of retribution under idiotic policies. I pray for you that such a thing never should happen but should it, please remember the day you aided in the vilification of a single act of kindness towards a fellow human being. Maybe at that point you would understand.

Sincerely,

Jeffrey J. Jackson

Proud supporter of Brandon Kivi.

Mr. Greg Poole and the Caney Creek Administration;

Nice form letter response. Maybe you should actually read a letter before sending a response? That might be a good thing huh? Especially from a public school.

You said:

"Your Email is based on erroneous information. It is also an example of how the Internet, with all its glory, often misses the key ingredient of information gathering, which is substantiation."

My information did not come from the Internet. Your assumption that it did is troubling and while you may have had some problems with such, I can assure you that that my source is not some off the wall Internet site. While I did in fact read in on the Internet the information compiled came from KPRC Channel 2 Houston which is a news site and television station. It is not an Internet affiliate or other Internet news site.

You said:

"No student was ever in any life-threatening situation. Student confidentiality does not permit us to be specific but it has already been reported in a Houston paper that the student in question went to the clinic for a minor headache. During both incidents, three clinic personnel were present including a registered nurse."

Fair enough. However the following questions must then be asked and you will be allowed to answer:

Was it indeed true that the female student said that Kivi saved her life?

If she did why do you believe that such a statement was false?

If she did say that Kivi saved her life what did she say?

Were you present at the time of the incident?

If not what were the names of all individuals present? (Requested to further confirm or deny your assertions)

Please note I have given you ample opportunity with this question selection to correct the story by channel 2 and any answers you give will be fact checked. Your failure to respond is of your own choice, but I have given you ample opportunity to do so.

You said:

"No student was ever expelled. We had a mandatory expulsion hearing where we could finally use discretion. Our decision is that while the student's actions could have been harmful, it does not merit expulsion. So why was it portrayed as an expulsion? State law requires an automatic expulsion hearing when dangerous drugs are involved."

Channel 2 reports the following information:

"On Friday, school officials decided to expel Kivi but not press criminal charges. They said it was an amicable agreement.

"I'm happy. Everything's final," Kivi said. "I'm expelled 'til after Christmas and I can come back after Christmas, but I won't.""

I pose the following questions which you are free to answer and I will verify through independent sources:

Is it your contention that this reporting is erroneous?

If so do you plan to file any papers in court concerning potential misrepresentation of facts or libel charges?

What were Kivi's actual statements?

If he is not expelled can you further explain why he said that he was and is not in school until after Christmas?

Please note again I have given you ample opportunity with this question selection to correct the story by channel 2 and any answers you give will be fact checked. Your failure to respond is of your own choice, but I have given you ample opportunity to do so.

You said:

"No student is "in jail". The police are forced by mandatory requirements to send the case to the juvenile system but they did not accept the case based on our expulsion hearing."

I don't believe that in my original email I ever stated that such was true.

In conclusion please make sure you read an email before responding. It makes you look really dumb when I post this automailer response form letter against my original email and the news stories as portrayed on KPRC Channel 2.

Sincerely

Jeffrey J. Jackson
