I have decided we are living through a really bad episode of 24, we are living in suspended animation until the man of the hour Jack Bauer can come to the rescue. After which there will be a commercial then he can of course kiss Audrey Raines and go about saving the world again. I am going to assume that this season is not even close to half over because that is where in the show 24, they give you just an inkling of hope and well with the recent Senate Kennedy McAmnesty bull freshly voted on I suppose the one and only hope is the house.

Unfortunately for us Jack’s diplomacy skills tend to be lacking a bit, he would much rather knock you upside the head than ask you to do something. That being so I really do not see him going to house member, after house member trying to get them to vote for the people. I could see him taking them each hostage and telling them what they would do, but asking? Nah. Maybe that is what we need, one man who is willing to risk it all for his country of course that is what many of us thought we had with Bush.

I will not completely turn on president Bush unless he truly does give our country to Fox. I still believe in the man I voted for, I believe in everything he represents other than this. I learned really fast while putting together the last few rallies that the press can take and twist every single thing you say into what ever headline they wish. It took some time but I think the press and I have an understanding, I simply cannot fathom having a room full of people each of them taking what I am saying and using it to make their careers. So I am sure that a lot of what the press has said he said is just plain wrong.

My problem is I heard him with my own two ears and still in back of my mind I expect that he is just using this to show some people for who they are. But if that is the case it is a rather cruel way to do it, to make your own people believe that you have turned against them I am not sure even Ronald Reagan was that good an actor. I think for now we need to leave the acting to the actors and the presidency to the president otherwise we have a bunch of people trying to do something they are not qualified for and looking really stupid in the process. Leave the hero stuff to our troops and Jack and just concentrate on getting rid of this stupid bill and a lot of extra people we don’t need.

“If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest for freedom, go home and leave us in peace. We seek not your council nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” –Samuel Adams
