Rudy Giuliani Needs To Leave
By: Lee Kent Hempfling
It has become pretty reliable for conservative voters. Dailykos.com speaks the thought process of the liberal nearly as good as the droning pathologicals at Media Matters For America. The ‘Kos’ always puts its thought process right out there on the front page for all to see. Its daily readers, who follow like the good robots they are, should be joined by conservatives in reading what the liberals believe in.
And yes, it is all about what they believe in. They believe there is no such issue as ‘life’. That issue is about ‘choice’. (And here the founding fathers are easily side-stepped when the guarantee of ‘life’ is ignored for the guarantee of ‘choice’. Oh, if babies in the womb could just be seen. Visual stimuli is what liberalism is all about. If you see it, it must be real. If you do not see it, it cannot be real.)
Did you ever contemplate what the term ‘ inalienable’ means? It means “incapable of being alienated, surrendered, or transferred.â€
The issue of life itself is listed as the first and foremost inalienable issue of ‘life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness’. Why? Without it, neither of the other two inalienable rights matter. So what do we do as a culture that has embraced juvenile delinquents in suits and accepted the ‘blame somebody’ as long as it isn’t ‘us’ mentality? We destroy the very concept of life, as long as no one can ‘see’ it.
The party of Reagan, Lincoln, civil rights and freedom can never take the stand that life does not matter. Never. If it ever does, and this Rudy Giuliani for President thing stands a small chance of doing it; it will cease to be its own party and become nothing more than the step-child of the children who cannot control themselves, let alone even pretend that life is anything other than a fully grown, survive on its own, mentally stable, pretty, genetically perfect body, after delivery from the mother, where it was obviously just a tumor before birth.
Rudy Giuliani is NOT a Republican. His stands on gun control and gay rights are not the issues. His stand on abortion, is. Quoted in the New York Times, “‘The mere fact that I am standing here running for president of the United States with the views that I have, that are different in some respects on some of these issues, shows that we much more adequately represent the length and breadth and the opinions of America than the other party does,’ Mr. Giuliani said.”
No it doesn’t. It shows a primary principle of Republican values is missing in Rudolph Giuliani.
The ‘Kos’ says, “Guiliani’s party is both intolerant and unforgiving on the issue of choice.” Wow. The issue is not choice. It is life. But to Rudy Giuliani and the lunatics at the DailyKos it is not life at all. It is choice. As if ‘choice’ means anything, other than life having no meaning.
One thing it does tend to mean is the consequence of a choice. Liberals do not discuss consequence. They can’t. They can only discuss what has already happened and if something has happened then when presented with a similar set of circumstances it will indeed happen again. Damn the facts, bigotry reigns in liberals. Bigotry is after all, the result of making everything of the same ‘color’ or ‘belief’ the same thing, whether they are or not, and then blaming that ‘thing’ for what the ‘blamer’ cannot stomach as his own fault.
Ronald Reagan once described liberalism. “A baby is an alimentary canal with a loud voice at one end and no responsibility at the other.” Think about it. Any creature that is obsessed with being fed for free, contributes nothing to society but noise, and takes no responsibility for the crap it shoves out can only be an infant, or a juvenile delinquent, or a sociopath or a liberal.
He also said, “The ultimate determinant in the struggle now going on for the world will not be bombs and rockets but a test of wills and ideas – a trial of spiritual resolve: the values we hold, the beliefs we cherish and the ideals to which we are dedicated. ” It is what this whole ‘war on terror’ thing is all about. Ideas. Ideals. Beliefs.
The moment the Republican party runs a pro-abortion candidate is the day those ideals and values that made this country (which is what conservatism is) will be gone. It will no longer be a country where life and liberty are a guarantee by The Creator. ‘Inalienable’ will be stuck through. It will be a country where the pursuit of happiness is a right and if another life or another’s liberty gets in the way of that happiness, well… tax them to death, or ridicule them to obscurity, or demonize them to retirement or simply buy them off.
Those ‘projections’ of potential; are called consequences. That is a topic liberals cannot contemplate. A Presidential candidate that does not contemplate, and therefore consider the consequences of the issue of life being relegated to the issue of ‘choice’ does not deserve any peoples’ support and certainly not that of the Republican party. Democrats support a ‘woman’s right to choose’ only because doing so means women will support Democrats. It is either that or Democrats want to eliminate the human race, one baby at a time. Come to think of it, the Democrats would really prefer to stay in battle in Iraq as it benefits their appropriation committee chairmanships; but the current controlling interest of the party wants to use the war as a political weapon against the lawful authority of the nation and that comes before country to a Democrat, any day.
Can Rudy Giuliani actually think that the life of a child is any less valuable inside the womb as it is outside the womb? For that matter, can anyone actually think that is a valid option? Of course they do, and obviously so does Rudy Giuliani.
So tell me, when does a car become a car? Is it when it is on the designing table? Well we can’t have that, so we can’t let Detroit claim to be ‘designing’ anything specific until it actually is driven out of the factory. When does a pie become a pie? Is it a pie once all ingredients are in it, and it can no longer be mistaken for a lamp? Or is it only a pie after it has been baked and after it has come out of the oven? You see, it isn’t about baking a pie, it is about the right to choose to eat it or not, and the price we pay for letting anyone have their pie and eat it too.
Rudy Giuliani’s pro-abortion position was masked in carefully constructed nothings before he was literally forced out of the closet by Chris Matthews. It had to have been a topic he crammed to learn how to respond to. If it wasn’t, he certainly wasn’t considering the potential of consequence there. Instead of being prepared, and instead of simply resorting to his stump speech like all the rest of the candidates, Rudy Giuliani fumbled. He is apparently more honest in his beliefs than his handlers would care him to be. But to have a Republican Presidential candidate stand on the stage of a debate and not completely and totally place his country before himself, i.e.: a nation without the highest regard for pie in all of its stages, once it is a pie, whether it has been baked, or served; that wants the pie as only its parts before they eat it when it is a whole, which includes baking and service cannot stand long as life without value at any stage is life without value. Period.
Ronald Reagan had a phrase for what Rudy Giuliani has been doing; “To sit back hoping that someday, some way, someone will make things right is to go on feeding the crocodile, hoping he will eat you last – but eat you he will.” The same thing goes for taking a position you think a majority of voters hold, just so the party you are really running in, will eat you last. “Today we did what we had to do. They counted on America to be passive. They counted wrong.” As does Rudy Giuliani count wrong. The polls may state abortion is a cool thing to support these days, but the party that Rudy Giuliani pretends to represent; knows better.
“We have the duty to protect the life of an unborn child.” Ronald Wilson Reagan.
We have a duty to totally reject the misuse of our party by those who would do otherwise.
Rudy Giuliani needs to either leave the race, or leave the party. Without protecting the life of the unborn child, Rudy Giuliani is not a Conservative Republican, let alone a Republican at all.
“I was once pro-choice. And the thing that changed my mind was, I read my husband’s biology books, medical books and what I learned is simply what it states – this isn’t even morally — this is pure biology. At the moment of conception, a life starts. And this life has its own unique set of DNA, which contains a blueprint for the whole genetic being. The sex is determined. Now people ask the question, well, is it a human being? We know there’s a life because it’s growing and changing.” From ABC’s television weeknight show, “Politically Incorrect”, Kathy Ireland, Supermodel May 1, 1998 . Quoted from http://www.rightgrrl.com/wquotes.html .
To the press, Romney can change his mind like Ireland but his doing so is a dastardly concocted, misleading opportunism (NO, I do NOT support Romney for President). But America’s Mayor can hide his ignorance in plain site, then pronounce what we already knew and not leave the party when it becomes known, rather spin the result. A Republican cannot be a hypocrite and still be a Republican.
Rudy, go away.
