Rope A Dope

By: Carolyn Hileman

For those of you who are to young to remember, that was a political term used by politicians when they felt that something was being done to dissuade voters from speaking their minds on an issue. Well we have a rope a dope going on today and I aim to make sure that the only dopes are those who thought they could fool the American people. You see if you call up to complain about S.1348 today they will tell you that bill has been shelved. What they will not tell you is that it was reborn as S.1639, and has taken on its very own life and they are expected to vote on cloture this coming Friday. Some sites are now saying that the vote has been delayed till next week but since these people have lied to us by omission I think we might wish to start calling now and not stop until we know this bill is dead and that it has not spawned any children.

We have all the phone numbers right here for you so that you can let them know we have not been fooled 202-863-8500 Republican National Committee phone number. Press 1 — a real live person answers the phone. 1-866-340-9281 it is toll free it will not cost you a penny and you can talk to your senator, If you are having trouble getting through the Capitol switchboard to express your opinion about the Bush-Kennedy shamnesty, there’s a special hotline number you might like to try.

1-800-882-2005. (Spanish number)
1-800-417-7666. (English number)

Turn their own weapons against them

An open borders group, obviously well-funded by Mexico or one of the multinational corporations benefiting from illegal migration, has established a toll-free number that automatically identifies your Senators and connects you directly to their offices for free. That number is 800-417-7666.

We killed the last one by your phone calls and emails and we can kill this one as well. I really don’t care if they like what we have to say, because it is we the American taxpayers who should have the final say not LARAZA or MECHA, better known as ATZLAN, and these people had a veto on this bill. They didn’t invite the Minutemen, they didn’t invite US Border Watch into those rooms and the certainly never gave them veto power even though this bill was set to cost the American taxpayer $32 trillion dollars. No, they asked the very people who are cheering on the illegal immigrants crossing our borders what can the American people do for your people we have not already done, the answer AMNESTY.

Now you do not have to call these numbers, there is not going to be anyone who will know, but you. You do not have to open up your mouth at all; you can just ignore the problem. We will not refuse to help you when this finally lands on your door step because we have all at one time or another believed this had nothing to do with us either. But we soon found out we were wrong, we found out that one of the reasons we are forced to pay so much for car insurance is because the illegal immigrants who are here carry no insurance and we must make up the difference. We found out that one of the reasons our hospital bills are so high is that the illegal immigrants get free health care while they are here and we get to make up the difference there as well. We found out that it affects every single tax paying American and that before this is over they will be taking that money straight from our checks if we do not stop them.

I don’t know about you, but I simply cannot afford yet another tax. My husband has a good job, but with the price of gas and electricity it is hard to imagine what else we can possibly afford and they want us to pay people who came into our country illegally and give them amnesty? What more can they possibly want from us? I read yesterday that Congress is planning to tax cigarettes another seventy cents, for those of us in Texas that will hit very hard since we already had the taxes raised to the point a carton now costs $45.00 and I have to wonder where they plan to spend that money. The original tax in Texas was to fund the schools, even though we voted in the lottery to pay for that they needed more money to build bigger schools so they could teach even more illegal immigrant students. Let’s get real here shall we, the $32 trillion dollars is just the tip of the iceberg. By the time this is over we will be paying for everything these people need.

It is time to take our country back. It is time we let them know that we are sick and tired of them dreaming up new and inventive ways to spend our money. It is time to let them know that we sent them up there to work for the American people, the ones who pay those taxes and their pay checks and they need to stop trying to rename bills to try and push them through without us knowing. That we are past angry, past disgusted, we are numb, but we are not dumb and we know all about Rope A Dope….
