Fourth of July, The Great Britain Connection

By: Marie Jon'

A long time ago (in the 1760′s to be exact), Great Britain wielded authority over the thirteen colonies on the North American continent. The colonists were, and considered themselves subjects of the British Crown.

Rightly so, the colonists came to believe they were unfairly being taxed without representation. Great Britain also demanded that the colonists follow the Motherland rules regarding matters of faith. Thomas Jefferson wrote “God, who gave us life, gave us liberty.”

It is unfortunate that we have ungrateful people living in this blessed nation who do not appreciate what has been granted to them by the hands of the Almighty God, Jehovah — not Allah. America was founded on Judeo-Christian principles, however, we are a nation which tolerates other faiths. You can be an atheist in America because we have freedom of religion and from religion.

Our majestic country came alive as a document was read and the Liberty Bell rang in the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia. Engraved on the bell are these dynamic and profound words, “Proclaim liberty through all the land and to all the inhabitants thereof.”

Far too many Americans do not understand the meaning of the Fourth of July holiday and the historical impact it has on their lives. Independence Day is celebrated because we declared ourselves a free, self-governing people.

These wise and resourceful colonists became creative as well as angry. Men of honor began making plans to be able to write their own rules. It became obvious that they no longer wanted Great Britain telling them what to do. They let Britain know that they were becoming an independent country. Thus America was born. Happy Birthday to the USA.

Take time out and learn about your freedoms. Look at the Declaration of Independence and think about all the ingenious ideas that went into this incredibly-crafted document. Think about the courage it took for these people to stand up for what they knew was right. Indeed, they wanted independence and were prepared to fight for it.

As we approach this national holiday, let us not forget that it was little more than five plus ago when we were attacked by madmen who garbed themselves in Islam. They slammed planes into the Twin Towers of New York and the Pentagon, killing thousands of our citizens. Our freedoms and our very lives were under attack. They still are today because of relentless zealots living in the dark ages under the tyrannical religion of Sharia Law.

Throughout many decades the Unites States and Great Britain have stood together. They have remained our dearest allies. The United Kingdom came to our aid in our hours of need and we in theirs. Our coalition troops stand side by side fighting a world wide war.

Excerpts from BBC News:

Police confident in bombers hunt

The links between three attempted car bombings in Glasgow and London are becoming ‘ever clearer,’ the UK’s top counter-terrorism officer has said.

“Deputy Assistant Commissioner Peter Clarke said he was ‘absolutely confident’ of uncovering details of the attackers’ methods and network.

“A Jeep containing gas cylinders was driven into Glasgow Airport a day after two car bombs were found in London.

“Five people are being held, but police are thought to be hunting a suspect.

“BBC correspondent Daniel Sandford said that might explain why the country remained on its highest state of security alert — critical.

“This means an attack is expected ‘imminently.’

“Scotland Yard said two people were arrested on the M6 in Cheshire overnight — a 26-year-old man and 27-year-old woman.

“The man has been identified by the BBC as Dr Mohammed Asha, from Iran.

Another 26-year-old man was arrested in Liverpool. All have been taken to Paddington Green police station in London for questioning.” Full Article

The terrorists of radical Islam will not go away. They are going to continue waging their fatwas against us until we defeat them.

The United Kingdom is in the throes of bravely fighting a religion that has gone amok. One wonders what kind of fool would claim that terrorism is a mere “bumper sticker slogan” as did presidential hopeful John Edwards.

As the U.K. remain on their highest alert, we see the folly of our own political discourse in the United Sates emanating from the Democrat Party leaders. Will it take more slaughtering of our people for us to finally understand that there is a war being waged against us? Link — Link

Before you rush off to the beach or have your back yard barbeque, you need to take a good look at the socialistic liberalism of today, the practices of radical Islam, and quite a few more important subjects that have the potential to severely affect our liberty before it too late.

Observe the United Kingdom and understand that we also have radicals in our country pretending to be our friends as we sleep. Remember, while we get ourselves in gear to enjoy the 4th of July, that we are also their target.

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said: “It is clear that we are dealing, in general terms, with people who are associated with Al Qaeda.” He warned Britons that the threat would be “long-term and sustained.”

The war on terror is going to be around for many Fourth of Julys to come, whether we like it or not.

President’s Radio Address

In his weekly radio address President Bush said, “On the Fourth of July we celebrate the courage and convictions of America’s founders. We remember the spirit of liberty that led men from 13 different colonies to gather in Philadelphia and pen the Declaration of Independence. In that revolutionary document, they proclaimed our independence based on the belief that freedom was God’s gift to all mankind. To defend that freedom, the 56 signers of the Declaration pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor. Their sacrifices built a new Nation and created a future of freedom for millions yet to be born.” En Español
