God Bless America

“God Bless America”…no truer words have ever been said. Sacrifices being made by the bravest men and women in the world everyday are honored by some, ignored by others. This is real life, this is not a game. Lives are changed in an instant. No complaints are heard by those giving their lives; it is their job, their commitment to this country, and to those that they are obligated to defend. Consider a life without these soldiers, without these men and women who are willing to give all for those they love, and for those they have never met. Where would we be? Where would anyone be?
“God Bless America, land that I love….” This is the greatest country on Earth, and we have a right and an obligation to defend the securities of those that live within its borders, as well as those on the outside. I love this country. I love what it stands for. I love that we are a nation of caring, selfless, and honorable citizens. When another country needs us, we go, no questions asked. That is America.
“Stand beside her, and guide her……” Now is the time when we all need to stand united as a country. Put aside petty disagreements, join forces against the evil of the world, and prove that this country is a force to be reckoned with. We can not afford to be complacent, overlook the obvious signs of instability around us. We must be strong, unite, and defend the lives of everyone that calls this country home.
“From the mountains, to the prairies, to the oceans……” None of us are safe from the outside. Every corner has to be carefully watched and observed, to ensure that no one is lurking in the darkness, waiting to cause us harm. We must watch out for each other, protect each other, for our soldiers are on distant lands doing the same thing for us. We must take care of our homeland, so they have a home to return to.
“God Bless America, my home sweet home…” Fallen soldiers deserve our utmost respect and gratitude. They have given the ultimate sacrifice because they knew that this country deserved only the best. Do not ever forget those that have fallen. Remember everyday those that never came home from Normandy, Korea, and Vietnam. Keep them in your memory, for their deaths made this country what it is today. For our soldiers returning home; welcome them, hug them, thank them, honor them, and be grateful for what they have done.
This is not a game, it is real life. Pray that God watches over all of them brings them home safely. And for those that do not return, pray for their families, pray for peace in their hearts, and pray that they know that their son or daughter died for a noble and just cause.
