A Day Without Shadows

By: Carolyn Hileman

For those of us who believe there will come a day where there will be no shadows, a day when the son will shine so brightly upon us that it will be impossible to hide in any shadow. On that day the son will shine into every single soul, no sin will be hidden, no secret thought not be revealed, there will be no shadows, no gray areas just the truth and the truth will set us free, because you see there is one border that you cannot cross and have sin on your heart. Is it a sin to want a better life? No, it is not a sin to want better for your family, but it is to covet your neighbors possessions, lying is a sin, stealing is a sin and confessing it daily will not help unless you are ready to stop what you are doing.

We have churches right now that are enabling sinners and the Save ACT to make it legal to enable them. We have a lot of churches who are feeding the body and ignoring the soul, are we not taught from the beginning that it is our responsibility to guide people in the ways of riotousness, that if we do not that we are in fact in the act of sin. The Bible tells us that anyone who leads a child astray is one of the worst sinners, and to tell someone it is OK to break the law and even enable them in their lawlessness is a sin. Now I do not claim to be perfect, far from it if the truth be known and my soul will be questioned I am sure but I will be able to stand there and tell him that I did not lead his sheep astray. The churches claim that these laws are inhumane, I beg to differ these laws were good enough for those immigrants who came through Ellis Island, and Ellis Island was actually stricter when it came to allowing in immigrants.

They tell us they will not help criminals, unfortunately that would be wrong because they are criminals the minute they cross that border without permission. They spend each and every day of their lives lying and cheating, yet instead of the churches telling them the must repent their sins they are saying come on in and don’t worry about those silly laws. The Men and Women who are ordained in the ministry know the truth and yet refuse to impart that to these people. They know that unless you repent, and truly attempt not to sin again you will not enter the pearly gates, it is that simple. Yet they continue to ignore their souls and ignore the laws of the land, instead saying the laws are inhumane and therefore should not be followed. Requiring illegal immigrants to go back to their country of origin and apply for a green card is inhumane; I would say that not telling them the implications of their action on their entrance in to Heaven is inhumane, and that they will be held accountable for each and every soul that they have led astray in their vane attempt to keep membership up.

As Priest, minister or rabbi you are called to lead each and every soul that walks through your doors down the pat of righteousness, it is not a suggestion it is an order, it is not up to you to decide if a law is just it is up to you to guide your people in the way of the light. You are attempting to create martyrs from sinners and as of yet their religion has not been persecuted which is the only real reason for sanctuary, being expected to follow the laws of the land is not. The response of Jesus when his enemies tried to trap him by asking whether it was right for the Jews, whose nation had been taken over by the Roman Empire, to pay tribute to the Roman emperor. He took a Roman coin that would be used to pay the tribute and asked whose picture was on it; his questioners answered, “Caesar’s.” The reply of Jesus implied that in using Roman coins, the Jews accepted the rule of the Romans, and so the Roman government had the right to tax them, as long as the Jews were not compromising their religious duties. Jesus’ more general point was, “Give to worldly authorities the things that belong to them, and to God what belongs to God.”

He is saying obey the laws of the land, not just when convenient, not only if it will keep your membership up, by instructing your people to do otherwise you are disobeying an even higher law and you will answer to that one. Deuteronomy 27:18 (New International Version) 18 “Cursed is the man who leads the blind astray on the road.” Then all the people shall say, “Amen!” You have provided the shadows that you say they are living in, it is never right to sin, it is never right to bear false witness, which the churches have done against good honest people who only wish to protect their country. The churches are walking a very thin line when they instruct people here illegally, to disobey the law and then lead their members in disobeying the law, it is not a Christian thing, it is simply stalling the inevitable because one day they will be forced to answer for what they have done and the souls they have lost and it will be a day without shadows.

In the End,
we will remember
not the words of our enemies,
but the silence of our friends.
- Martin Luther King, Jr.
