PROCLAMATION OF THE MINUTEMAN PROJECT CITIZEN’S COMMISSION

By: Jim Gilchrist

CITIZEN’S MANDATE FOR THE IMMEDIATE RELEASE OF, AND COMPENSATORY RELIEF FOR, U.S. BORDER PATROL AGENTS IGNACIO RAMOS AND JOSE COMPEAN.

WE, THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, THROUGH THE MINUTEMAN PROJECT CITIZEN’S COMMISSION, IN ORDER TO PRESERVE A MORE PERFECT UNION, PROVIDE FOR DOMESTIC TRANQUILITY, AND GUARANTEE A FAIR AND UNIVERSAL APPLICATION OF THE RULE OF LAW, HEREBY ISSUE THE FOLLOWING CITIZEN’S MANDATE OF EARNEST DEMANDS TO THE PRESIDENT, THE SENATE, AND THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA:

1
THE IMMEDIATE UNCONDITIONAL PARDON OF UNITED STATES BORDER PATROL AGENTS IGNACIO RAMOS AND JOSE COMPEAN, INCLUDING FOREVER EXPUNGING ANY RECORD OF THEIR ARRESTS, CONVICTIONS AND SENTENCINGS.

2
THE RETROACTIVE RESTORATION OF ALL EMPLOYMENT PAY AND BENEFITS DEPRIVED TO AGENTS RAMOS AND COMPEAN, AND THEIR FAMILIES, SINCE THE TIME OF THEIR ARRESTS.

3
FOR COMPENSATORY RELIEF FOR THE EMOTIONAL AND FINANCIAL TURMOIL AND CARNAGE BROUGHT UPON AGENT RAMOS AND HIS FAMILY DUE TO WRONGFUL ARREST AND PROSECUTION, AN AWARD OF NOT LESS THAN $5,000,000 (FIVE MILLION DOLLARS).

4
FOR COMPENSATORY RELIEF FOR THE EMOTIONAL AND FINANCIAL TURMOIL AND CARNAGE BROUGHT UPON AGENT COMPEAN AND HIS FAMILY DUE TO WRONGFUL ARREST AND PROSECUTION, AN AWARD OF NOT LESS THAN $5,000,000 (FIVE MILLION DOLLARS).

5
IN ADDITION, FOR AGENT IGNACIO RAMOS, FOR HIS VICTIMIZATION IN AN ATTEMPT TO MURDER HIM BY A GANG OF PRISONERS WHILE INCARCERATED IN YAZOO FEDERAL PRISON IN MISSISSIPPI, AN ADDITIONAL COMPENSATORY AWARD OF NOT LESS THAN $5,000,000 (FIVE MILLION DOLLARS).

6
AGENTS RAMOS AND COMPEAN ARE TO BE IMMEDIATELY RE-INSTATED TO THEIR RESPECTIVE RANKS AND POSITIONS IN THE UNITED STATES BORDER PATROL, OR, SHOULD AGENTS RAMOS AND COMPEAN CHOOSE NOT TO RETURN TO THAT LAW ENFORCEMENT ORGANIZATION, THEN THEY SHALL BE GIVEN AN HONORABLE DISCHARGE FROM THE UNITED STATES BORDER PATROL.

7
AGENTS IGNACIO RAMOS AND JOSE COMPEAN, AT THEIR OPTION, ARE TO BE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY FOR EMPLOYMENT IN ANY UNITED STATES LAW ENFORCEMENT ORGANIZATION FOR WHICH THEY ARE QUALIFIED TO SERVE.

8
FURTHERMORE, DUE TO THE POSSIBILITY THAT AGENTS RAMOS AND COMPEAN ARE NOT THE FIRST AMERICANS TO BE INNOCENTLY HUNG AT THE HANDS OF A FEDERAL PROSECUTOR, WE DEMAND AN IMMEDIATE AND THOROUGH INVESTIGATION OF THE OFFICES OF PROSECUTOR JOHNNY SUTTON, ASSISTANT DISTRICT ATTORNEY DEBRA KNOFF, THE JUDGE PRESIDING OVER THE RAMOS-COMPEAN CASE, AND ANYONE INVOLVED IN THE INVESTIGATION AND PROSECUTION OF AGENTS RAMOS AND COMPEAN.

WE DEMAND THIS INVESTIGATION BE CONDUCTED BY AN INDEPENDENT INVESTIGATIVE AGENCY.
