Barack Obama speaks of “Change you can believe in?†Consider this: John McCain and Barack OBama both gave their word to use public campaign financing for their campaigns. Barack Obama told Hillary Clinton, during one of their debates that, if nominated, he would sit down with John McCain and discuss how they would coordinate their campaigns and funding. Then he broke his word again and refused to do that. These things are not conjecture but are known proven facts. So, although Barack Obama has proven he has no qualms about breaking his word that does not seem to bother his base, who are more concerned with their 401K than having a President with integrity. So let us just talk about numbers, facts, and common sense.
Obama lied and McCain kept his word, but look what both have done. Obama, his panicked party, the mainstream media, and all those inside the DC Beltway are scared to death about the real change McCain-Palin will bring to Washington. Why is John McCain able to work within the relatively limited constraints of the tiny budget he has been handed with public financing and is tied in most places with Barack Obama? Think about it, please? Obama has outspent McCain by eight times as much money in some swing states. Again, that is proven fact. Why is it taking Barack Obama to use from 3 to 8 times as much money as John McCain to do the same job essentially? Obama has had to cheat and lie to raise more money, much more to run his campaign, and John McCain has worked within the constraints of what the law allows and is still neck-and- neck with Obama. Now simply use common sense. What does that tell you about who will be the best steward of our national budget? Who will actually cut wasteful spending and who will plunge us into a Great Depression?
Barack Obama has had to wheel and deal and use his golden-tongue to broker new deals to obtain more campaign finances, hundreds of millions of dollars more to try to win this election and get the job done. So, if he is elected, why would managing a delicate federal budget be any different? Would he not, by hook or crook, have to obtain more financing to get the job done? Translation? Higher taxes for all. John McCain on the other hand, his honor and credibility still intact; as always, set his jaw, kept his word, and has made his campaign work with a very limited budget. Again, common sense.
This tells any thinking person one thing and one thing only. Barack Obama will indeed bring real change to Washington: Al Capone Chicago-style politics?
Further, Barack Obama boasts that he is a “uniter.†Consider this however: It is fact that he seriously damaged his support base by selecting good old boy Joe Biden as his running mate who dropped out of the democratic primary because of making inappropriate racist remarks, yet he passed over Hillary Clinton who had 18,000,000 supporters.
Given these two dynamics and simply thinking, unlike many network news-mesmerized voters, what would a Barack Obama do within the constraints of a federal budget and an imperative need to cut runaway federal spending? Secondly, if he divided his own party with his off the wall choice of Biden, how can he possibly unite two parties and an anxious nation?
John McCain and Sarah Palin continue to work hard, walk the walk, keep smiling while getting attacked on all sides by the news media, and stay within their budget. Biden said that within six months a President Obama would be tested by our enemies, and any thinking person knows who we would want in the Oval Office in such a case. Washington insiders however are much more frightened by the McCain-Palin attack, because they will slay the government-funded and protected Golden Goose. They will strike down the evil dragon of corruption and greed, which has grown bigger, stronger, and bolder from the unprincipled bureaucrats who have been feeding it daily.
Sometimes the answer to a perplexing problem is not complicated at all, but very simple. Before you vote, please, just use your common sense.
