Blasts Incumbent GOP Senator Bob Bennett on Immigration Reform and Border Security

Aliso Viejo, CA – Minuteman Project Founder and President Jim Gilchrist, the nation’s leading grassroots activist on the issue of immigration reform and border security, announced today that he will be in Utah on Saturday, April 24 to endorse Tim Bridgewater in his battle for the GOP Senate seat. Gilchrist will make the endorsement citing Bridgewater’s strong stand on securing our borders, denying illegals any form of amnesty, and cracking down on sanctuary cities in the United States. Polls show that immigration reform and border security still remains one of the top issues facing voters of the state of Utah in the upcoming May 8 Republican State Convention.

Gilchrist stated, Unlike many current US Senators like Bob Bennett who claim to be conservative Republicans, Tim Bridgewater truly has a committed stand on the issues of immigration reform and border security. Tim Bridgewater recognizes the need to support legal immigration with individuals that respect our tax system, our laws, and our language. Tim will turn back the failed votes of Bob Bennett and force the Federal Government to use proactive means to enforce our nation’s laws and that is just what the taxpayers of Utah want in Washington DC. Tim Bridgewater is exactly the leader we need in the US Senate to end the chaos of illegal immigration.

Jim Gilchrist founded the multi-ethnic Minuteman Project on Oct. 1, 2004, after years of frustrated efforts trying to get a neglectful U.S. government to simply enforce existing immigration laws.
