Minuteman Candidates Win!
By: Jim Gilchrist
Aliso Viejo, CA – Minuteman Project Founder and President Jim Gilchrist, the nation’s leading grassroots activist on the issue of immigration reform and border security, congratulates MMP endorsed candidates Tim Scott for US Congress in the First Congressional District of South Carolina and Jeff Duncan in the Third Congressional District of South Carolina. Gilchrist traveled with both candidates meeting voters in their respective districts to showcase each candidate’s commitment to securing our borders, denying illegals any form of amnesty, and cracking down on taxpayer funded benefits that attract illegals to the United States.
Gilchrist stated, “Voters all across the country want our elected leaders to demand the Federal Government enforce our laws and secure our borders. Tim Scott and Jeff Duncan each truly have a committed stand on the issues of immigration reform and border security. We congratulate each of these Minuteman Project endorsed candidates in their primary victories tonight.”
Jim Gilchrist founded the multi-ethnic Minuteman Project on Oct. 1, 2004, after years of frustrated efforts trying to get a neglectful U.S. government to simply enforce existing immigration laws. Minuteman volunteers have flocked to the border to help the US Border Patrol in their national security mission since assembling on the Mexican-American border in 2005. He has been interviewed over 4000 times on the issues of illegal immigration and border security, is the author of an essay in the Georgetown Immigration Law Journal, as well as author of “Minuteman: The Battle to Secure America’s Borders” co-written with New York Times Best Selling Author Dr. Jerome Corsi.
