Obama Derelict in Duty
By: Craig Chamberlain
If President Obama’s master plan was to transform the United States of America, the world’s last superpower, into a third world nation, then he’s right on course. He’s been in office for 18 months now, and in that brief amount of time he has taken what would have been a mild, and temporary, economic downturn into a depression with no signs of getting out of it. Unemployment is still hovering around ten percent, our currency is still weak, but most disturbing of all is the crushing debt level that we face. If there is anything that will completely bury our economy and reduce this country to nothing it’s the debt.
In his short time in office President Obama has incurred more debt than President Bush did in his entire eight year term. The federal debt is 12 trillion dollars, and that doesn’t count the state and local debts. Soon the states(like California) will be unable to pay their bills and they will come to Washington looking for economic relief. Obama, who’s never met a union worker or government employee that he doesn’t want to throw money at, will oblige and bury us under more debt.
This economic chaos was unleashed on purpose. The House of Representatives might control the purse, but they moved on President Obama’s orders. There was never any doubt as to what the outcome would be when we undertook this course of action. Everyone knew that it would raise the debt, and weaken the economy. And that was the point. As Rahm Emmanuel is famous for saying:” never let a crisis go to waste.” This was never about economic strength. It was about prolonging the crisis, and making more people dependent on the government and its largesse, and thus on the Democratic party.
President Obama has, at every turn, decided against the United States. In the gulf oil leak, the President rather than taking charge(instead he has spent most of his time playing golf) and reassuring the American people, and realizing that such occurrences are rare, has declared a ban on deep sea drilling and demanded a 20 billion dollar payout from BP. Both of which are beyond his constitutional authority.
Ah.. but why would the chosen one be bound by that ancient document? Don’t the people realize that we should have evolved beyond those limitations by now? That’s the problem. Our political elites have decided that the constitution is nothing but a dead letter. To be ignored or adhered to at their convenience. Until the American people realize that a change in party is not enough, but that a demand for constitutional government must be applied as well, we will continue to see the government expand its power and our rights vanish.
Rather than defend the American economy he and his Chicago mafia have done everything they can to destroy it. Rather than obey the constitution, and defend the southern border, he has decided to sure Arizona, and side with Mexico. Article 4 Section 4 of the constitution reads:”The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican form of government, and shall protect each of them against invasion; and on application of the legislature, or of the executive (when the legislature cannot be convened) against domestic violence.”
There is no formal army marching across our southern border in military formation, with tanks, artillery, and air support, but it is an invasion all the same. It is an invasion by a violent criminal enterprise that is flooding our country with illegal drugs, and spreads death along the border. It is an invasion by a border of state sponsored illegal immigrants many of whom have criminal records and spread domestic violence.
It should not be a shock that President Obama sided with our enemies. He has said that he is more a citizen of the world than a citizen of the United States. He has reduced foreign policy to meaningless apology tours, fights wars on arbitrary and artificial timetables, and dismisses commanding officers for perfectly valid criticisms of his dereliction of duty.
President Obama and his administration have no interest in governing the United States, or following their constitutional obligations. He fights against the American economy, he fights against the American military, and he fights against American border security. The only recourse the American people have is to give this “citizen of the world” his walking papers in 2012.
Maybe then we will get a government that is more interested in promoting American interests instead of stomping all over them.
