Barack Obama ran for President four years ago with a simple message: Hope and Change, promising to make Washington work and turn the country and our economy around, which was inspirational, passionate, historic… and full of it. Four years later, things haven’t improved. In fact, they’ve become worse. Close to 13 million Americans are unemployed. Millions more are either underemployed or have quit looking for work. Home prices are down while gas, food and health care costs are up. The President’s solution has been to throw more and more taxpayer money at the problem. So while families across the country were tightening their belts and cutting back, the President took the country on a spending spree. America is now almost $16 trillion in debt, a staggering number that gets higher every second of every day. The conservative movement is united and energized like never before. Americans are taking a stand, refusing to let liberals in Washington continue to challenge the fundamental principles that made America the greatest country in the world. This movement is energized, and it is growing. It began shortly after President Obama took office with the elections of governors Chris Christie and Bob McDonnell in 2009, replacing Democrat governors in New Jersey and Virginia. It was followed in 2010 with one of the greatest Congressional victories conservatives have even seen, and it continues today. Week ago Governor Scott Walker won a resounding election in Wisconsin with a greater margin of victory than in 2010. Polls tell us that he is losing substantial support in each of his voting blocs, with him as well. As Bill Clinton himself once said, the era of big government is over, but obviously President Obama didn’t get that message, but this November he will when he wakes up to find a country that rejects his ideas and wants no more of him.

To win re-election, Barack Obama has “gone rogue,” boldly going where no Democrat has gone before – no longer masquerading as a moderate, but instead campaigning as a full blown anti-capitalism, anti-Constitution progressive / socialist! Obama believes that he and his minions (the mainstream media, the schools, TV, movies, and the Democrats) have successfully “transformed” the country. When he vowed to “fundamentally transform America,” he was really talking about transforming us, our traditions, morals, and values to transform a majority of Americans into entitlement junkies (haters of achievers) dumbed-down deadbeat losers dependent solely on government for our very existence from cradle to grave. Obama’s re-election scheme includes dividing Americans into mini-voting blocs, all perceiving themselves to be victimized. He promises college kids lower tuition interest rates. To secure the gay and Hollywood vote, Obama came out in support of gay marriage. To secure the hardcore feminist vote, Obama ignored the Constitution, forcing religious institutions and taxpayers to fund contraception and abortion services against their faith. With black unemployment at an unprecedented high, Obama may not enjoy the Democrats’ traditional lock on winning a monolithic black vote. In panic mode, Obama’s campaign will double down on their efforts, making the election about race by intensifying their attempts to paint the Tea Party as racist. He also counts on his army against America: OWS losers — spoiled brats who hate achievers and believe they are entitled to the fruit of other folk’s labor. Talk about the wild bunch — Obama’s OWS battalion includes Marxists, Communists, anti-Semitics, racists, rapists, the lazy, and the trifling, along with assorted other nuts. In essence, Obama has declared war on working, successful, self-respecting, and self-reliant Americans. We are engaged in an unreported epic battle for the heart, mind, and soul of America: Obama’s army vs. the rest of us. Obama is destroying America’s economy on purpose increasing with pride the welfare/food stamp under-class. Obama believes that the Constitution and capitalism are unfair and must be replaced with social justice. Obama has drawn a line in the sand, proclaiming, this is war!: his anti-achievers vs. achievers; black vs. white; those who harbor disdain for America vs. those who love her. I am not talking about a foreign dictator pounding on the podium with his shoe at the U.N., screaming, “We will bury you!” The person seeking to dethrone America as the world’s superpower is the current President of the United States, Barack Hussein Obama and his war on our country and responsible Americans is very, very real and the voting booth is our salvation.

There is a real possibility of a landslide victory this November because economic conditions produce landslides. Prosperity propelled Reagan and Eisenhower, for example, to huge re-election wins in 1984 and 1956. Economic distress affects voters even more. The three most lopsided Presidential races since 1988 fell short of the conventional definition of a landslide, which would be a ten-point difference in the popular vote between the winner of the election and the next-closest candidate
· George H. Bush in 1988 beat Dukakis by seven points and carried 40 states.
· Clinton in 1996 beat Dole by eight points and carried 31 states.
· Obama in 2008 beat McCain by seven points and carried 28 states.
Obama’s first midterm saw Republicans gain 64 seats in the House of Representatives and 6 seats in the Senate, as well as winning gubernatorial and state legislative races all over the nation. The message to Obama was clear, even if he was not listening. While Americans might have liked Obama personally, they clearly rejected the policies he was pursuing. Obama is notably ignoring all the evidence of public unhappiness and promises to keep doing more of what he has been doing before. Moreover, his campaign has latched onto the strategy of trying to portray Romney as a scoundrel. Even uglier are the attacks on Ann Romney, a loyal wife and good mother who is heroically battling an awful disease. Ann has been described as a woman who has never worked or, in a truly despicable portrayal, as some dilettante for fighting her battle with multiple sclerosis by riding a horse. This sort of viciousness would not bother an acolyte of Alinsky, but the normal rest of America feels very differently, and this approach threatens to lose Obama the single advantage which he has enjoyed: personal likeability. Landslides often sneak up on pundits, but reality is slowly creeping in and the Democrat chances may be much worse than they will admit and may result in the first Presidential landslide loss in 28 years.
(“Might We See a Landslide?” by Bruce Walker dated June 21, 2012 published by American Thinker at http://www.americanthinker.com/2012/06/might_we_see_a_landslide.html )
The U.S. has never before had a President who thinks so little of the American people that he imagines he can win re-election running on the opposite of reality, but that is the reality of President Obama today. Obama recently claimed on the campaign stump, “federal spending since I took office has risen at the slowest pace of any President in almost 60 years.” What this shows most importantly is that the recognition is starting to break through to the general public regarding the President’s rhetorical strategy that I’ve have been calling Calculated Deception. The latter is deliberately using a misleading argument to paint a false picture. That has been a central Obama practice not only throughout his entire Presidency, but also as the foundation of his 2008 campaign strategy, and actually throughout his whole career. His whole mission is to transform the U.S. not into a Big Government country, but a Huge Government country, because only a country run by a Huge Government can be satisfactorily controlled by superior, all wise and beneficent individuals like himself. Notice how far behind the times he and his weak minded supporters are, as even the Swedes have abandoned Swedish socialism as a failure. In 2008, Congress was controlled by Democrat majorities, with Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House, and the restless Senator Obama already running for President, just four years removed from his glorious career as a state Senator in the Illinois legislature. The budget approved and implemented by Pelosi, Obama and the rest of the Congressional Democrat majorities provided for a 17.9% increase in spending for fiscal 2009! The Democrat Congress, confident Obama was going to win in 2008, passed only three of fiscal 2009’s 12 appropriations bills (Defense, Military Construction and Veterans Affairs, and Homeland Security). The Democrat Congress passed the rest of them in 2009, and the President signed them.” So Obama played a very direct role in the runaway fiscal 2009 spending explosion. Obama’s first major legislative initiative was the so-called stimulus, which increased future federal spending by nearly a trillion dollars, the most expensive legislation in history up till that point. We know now that this record shattering spending bill only stimulated government spending, deficits and debt. Obama then worked with Pelosi’s Democrat Congress to pass an additional, $410 billion, supplemental spending bill for fiscal year 2009, which was too much even for big spending President Bush, who had specifically rejected it in 2008. Next in 2009 came a $40 billion expansion in the SCHIP entitlement program, as if we didn’t already have way more than too much entitlement spending. Those were just the preliminaries for the biggest single spending bill in world history, ObamaCare, enacted in March, 2010. That legislation is not yet even counted in Obama’s spending record so far because it mostly does not go into effect until 2014. But it is now scored by CBO as increasing federal spending by $1.6 trillion in the first 10 years alone, with trillions more to come in future years. After just one year of the Obama spending binge, federal spending had already rocketed to 25.2% of GDP, the highest in American history except for World War II. Before Obama there had never been a deficit anywhere near $1 trillion. The highest previously was $458 billion, or less than half a trillion, in 2008. The federal deficit for the last budget adopted by a Republican controlled Congress was $161 billion for fiscal year 2007. The budget deficits for Obama’s four years were reported in Obama’s own 2013 budget as $1.413 trillion for 2009, $1.293 trillion for 2010, $1.3 trillion for 2011, and $1.327 trillion for 2012, four years in a row of deficits of $1.3 trillion or more, the highest in world history, and President Obama’s own 2013 budget shows that as a result federal debt held by the public will double during Obama’s four years as President.

If for the next five months the President and Mitt Romney spoke of nothing other than economic growth, this election would be the best $2 billion “investment” of campaign funds that Citizens United ever enabled. The Obama speech at Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland produced carping and sneering from left to right. ”Yes, foreign policy matters. Social issues matter. But more than anything else, this election presents a choice between two fundamentally different visions of how to create strong, sustained growth.” Get the growth choice right, and we’ll be ok; get it wrong and your kids will be talking Australia emigration. Right now, with growth stuck below 2%, we’re toast. With strong growth at 3% or better, there will be jobs. With long-term growth, Medicare, debt and the rest of the horribles that keep worrywarts awake at night are solvable. With strong growth, the U.S. will not have to cede world leadership prematurely to whichever Chinese functionary slugs his way to the top of their heap. With strong growth, your college graduate can move out of the house. With normal American growth, Europe may be irrelevant but it won’t die, and a U.S. President won’t look oddly small talking to the Vladimir Putins of the world. Obama was exactly right in Cleveland when he said “economic growth is the defining issue of our time,” that his and his opponents’ views on growth are fundamentally different and “this election is your chance to break that stalemate.” Voters have to pick two competing growth models, which means paying attention to what the candidates are saying about economic growth. Romney has been giving fine speeches on “the liberating power of the free enterprise system.” These are difficult and confusing economic times, and Team Romney should not underestimate the appeal of Obama’s confused economic ideas if drilled daily into the electorate’s soft clay. If Romney hopes to win what Obama is rightly calling a defining growth election, the governor will have to refute in detail the President’s notions of how growth happens and then explain to voters the real-economy alternative.

The President’s decision to run around Congress and legalize some 1 million outlaws isn’t an isolated event, since it is only the latest escalation in a pattern of power grabs more fitting a despot. The constitutional framers designed our system of government to restrict the president from making policy unilaterally and acting like a king, but Obama is making a mockery of our system of checks and balances. He claims to have no choice but to usurp legislative power, because an “obstructionist” Congress is blocking “the people’s agenda.” This shows contempt for the elected representatives of the American people, both Democrat and Republican, who shot down his immigration bill. It also betrays the American people, who in 2010 rejected his radical agenda by taking away the rubberstamp majority he had in Congress. Truth is, Obama has long harbored authoritarian impulses. When he applied to law school, Obama explained to his socialist handlers that community organizing was small beer. He said he wanted to effect change on a massive scale, to revolutionize the U.S. system from within. To do that, he had to learn the legislative process and constitutional law, and specifically how to manipulate it and use it as an instrument of political subversion. His favorite law professor, Derrick Bell, taught him the Constitution, even in its amended form, is a racist document not worthy of respect. ”In the end,” Obama revealed in his second biography, “laws are just words on a page — words that are sometimes malleable.” His own contempt for the Constitution shines through in his individual health mandate and barbed warning to “unelected” justices not to strike it down. Obama’s groomers taught him that change comes from power; and the more power, the more change. Other executive overreaches include:
· Appointing “czars” involved in roles normally reserved for Senate-confirmed officials.
· Making “recess appointments” without Senate advice and consent.
· Refusing to enforce marijuana, immigration, education, marriage and voter intimidation laws passed by Congress, in violation of his oath of office to “take care that the laws be faithfully executed.”
Congress needs to worry less about policing Major League Baseball and more about policing the executive branch, which is robbing it of power because the threat to the Republic does not come from Roger Clemens, it comes from Barack Obama.

Obama is perhaps the most divisive President in modern U.S. history and his recent “minority of the month announcement” has become his de facto campaign strategy. The country is in severe economic crisis — history books may someday call this the “Obama Great Depression.” Yet our President doesn’t see fit to deal with the economy in general. He doesn’t make big announcements to save Americans in general. He doesn’t have a plan to create jobs for all Americans. Because for Obama it isn’t about America, or the economy, or jobs; it’s all about cold, hard, heartless politics. Obama sees politics as divided by race and everything he does is about division:
· Rich vs. poor (with his Buffett bill and proposed tax hikes on the rich);
· Black vs. white (with his Trayvon comments);
· Gay vs. straight (with his gay marriage announcement); and
· Women vs. men (with his demand for free contraception from private insurers).
Obama’s newest “minority of the month announcement” was his executive order aimed at illegal immigrants, particularly young Latinos. Undocumented young immigrants will no longer face deportation under Obama. This cynical ploy comes only days before both Obama and Romney will be addressing one of the most important and high profile Latino organizations in the country — the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials conference in Orlando. To Obama this isn’t about saving the U.S. economy or restoring America’s place as the greatest nation in the world. It’s about pure cynical politics. It’s about doing anything, saying anything, offering any bribe in order to be re-elected. He desperately needs the next four years to finish what he started – the destruction of capitalism, the demonization of the wealthy, the capitulation of the private sector. Obama is fast losing his grip on the Presidency and he knows it. Obama’s lead is slipping with Latinos, blacks, Jews, women. As the Obama economy worsens and the jobs picture darkens, every group in this country is losing faith in Obama. His policy on immigration was out of desperation just to hold onto Latino votes. Obama is running scared, he is no longer fighting for new voters, he’s desperately trying to hold onto his most loyal voters, but when you can’t even count on your core constituencies as an advantage, the political game is slipping away.
