As the Nov. 2 election drew near, I went over in my mind what it was that made me a Republican. Contrary to the way the mainstream media tries to portray Republicans, we do love our country and prize the American Dream.

secured payday loans

Anyone — no matter what creed or color, whether male or female — can succeed if they try. Work hard and you’ll be able to make it happen. You too can wear the gold ring of success. Of course, some will gain more than others — depending on the definition of success, and of happiness — but your fellow conservative countrymen, beginning with Republicans, are cheering you on, encouraging you to grasp and take hold of this vision!

‘One nation…’

America is a melting pot of the teeming masses. We’ve come here from all over the world because the United States is the best country in which to live. People come to America mainly because they want to avail themselves of our freedoms and liberties. The words “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” appeal to the hearts of all of mankind.

Every American has a family tree that points to their ancestors who originally came from distant lands. Mine came from Italy and France. When they arrived at Ellis Island, they wanted to be Americans wholeheartedly. They quickly learned the language and embraced their new surroundings. They were humble people who were ready to roll up their sleeves and become an asset to their new home and society. They did not possess today’s entitlement mentality, as seems to prevail in the minds of many new arrivals.

Unfortunately, too many who’ve been born here now take our country for granted. We should have had many more people voting in the mid-term election. When we consider what was at stake, it’s astounding that more citizens didn’t vote. As a nation, we’re not out of the woods by any means, despite the Tea Party’s successes Nov. 2. Everything that’s been perpetrated upon this nation in recent years must be undone in quick order by those we’ve sent to do the people’s will.

Subversion in high places

Within two years of President Barack Hussein Obama’s media-abetted rise of power, we’ve come very close to seeing our great nation transformed by him and his progressive cohorts and hand-picked Czars into an authoritarian socialist regime.

The Democratic Party is no longer your grandpa’s political brand. The party can best be described as Marxists, Socialists, and Communists. We saw everything needed to confirm this at the recent “One Nation, Working Together” rally, which was supported and promoted by the president’s political organizing group, Organizing for America.

As election day drew near, where was the president’s apology to the American people for such blatant promotion of unsustainable socialism? Nearly every hand-held sign and banner was un-American and demoralizing.

Excerpts from “Obama organizing group pushes liberal march next weekend,” published Sept. 25 by the Hill —

“President Obama’s political organizing group is throwing its hat in the ring of increasingly popular marches in Washington D.C. as it pushed supporters on Saturday to attend next weekend’s rally on the National Mall.

Organizing for America, the Democratic Nation Party Committee’s group that lauds Obama’s legislative policies, sent out the e-mail blast advertising the Oct. 2 One Nation, Working Together rally as ‘the biggest progressive demonstration in decades.’

“The Democratic march, to be held less than five weeks before Congress’s midterm elections, is an attempt to galvanize support for policies enacted in this Congress, such as the healthcare bill, the stimulus bill, and other key priorities trumpeted by Obama.” Full Article

‘A republic, if you can keep it’

Unabashed subversives in the media who cross all lines of responsible journalism should be investigated by the House, I believe. They need to be exposed. Our nation can no longer survive with a media that systematically engages in pure propaganda. They’re bought and paid for by the fifth column. Mr. George Soros has helped to destabilize other countries, and he wants to do the same to ours.

When you think about our fledgling nation and the words that were uttered by a woman to one of our founders, it’s truly a miracle that we’ve lasted this long. She asked Benjamin Franklin to explain the type of government the Constitution was bringing into existence. He replied, “A republic, if you can keep it.”

Our president is attempting to put into place a system that will steal from those who are making a decent living and give the products of their labor over to others. My work ethic has taught me better. I’ve earned everything I own. We’ve had enough of this Marxist ideal of redistributing wealth through governmental theft.

It’s unconstitutional. The government’s role is to “promote the general welfare” of the nation through securing individual liberty (see the Preamble to the Constitution) — not engage in “collectivist welfare schemes” that subvert that liberty.

Self-reliance vs. slavery

Arguably, there is a time and place for our government to provide limited relief where truly needed. But let’s understand that lines of demarcation are to be drawn and not exceeded. There was a time when Americans took care of their own families and, if needed, turned to private and religious charities. As a result, we were a better and stronger people. We relied on ourselves, not government intervention, which eventually reaches out its tentacles to strangle the breath of life out of the recipients.

President Obama’s socialist agenda has added more to our national debt in his first 19 months than all presidents from Washington through Reagan combined. Through its outrageous spending sprees, the Obama administration has increased the federal debt by $2.5 trillion. What have the American people gotten for all this? There are no new jobs and the cost of living keeps going up and up. We’re headed for hyper-inflation.

Who in their right minds would consider putting the Democrats back into office come 2012? We are going to have to watch every politician we’re sending to Washington. We can no longer lay our heads on our pillow at night thinking we can allow some other citizen to worry about the direction our country is going. It has become our responsibility to hold every Conservative, Libertarian, and Republican accountable to finish the job we sent them to do, or else.

Let’s hope there’s change

Let it be known that I am a constitutional conservative. I’m also aware and proud of the successful gains our nation has made this past week. With an optimistic caution, we will give the Republican Party another chance. They must keep their promise to restore limited government that reflects America’s center-right leanings. “We The People” want free enterprise to flourish. We want ObamaCare completely repealed and replaced with a national program that befits our benevolent country and its people.

Our mid-term elections are being touted as historic. On Veterans Day, November 11th, freedom and liberty will once again be brought to the forefront. Give a salute to our troops whether they are serving in Afghanistan or Iraq. They and our veterans are heroes. Without their valor and bloodshed, none of us would be free.

Rush Limbaugh recently played a song on his radio talk show to remind us that there was a time of innocence. The song had made the top ten on America’s Billboard list and remained there for many months. Edwin Hawkins was a pianist at Ephesian Church of God in Christ in California when he came up with the popular version of “Oh Happy Day” in 1968.

Back then, America embraced its Judeo-Christian heritage. Look at where we are now. Because too many of us have looked the other way, “progressives” have taken the lead with our families and youth. They’ve stolen our country from under our noses. It’s time to put a stop to them.

I am not going to mince words. It was not a good day when President Barack Obama was sworn into office. With help from the media, he was able to get away with many lies about who he was. Nearly two years later, we now know the reason for the subterfuge. He has been extremely busy remaking America and turning our country into a Marx-inspired shambles.

I have, many times, discussed the reasons why Obama despises our country and its citizenry. Need I remind you that he sat in a Black militant church for over twenty years with an ideologue radical pastor, Marxist Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Another member of the Obama team is Rev. Jim Wallis. He also is a Marxist. It’s most unfortunate for America that Wallis is a member of the Obama “White House Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives.” Obama chose these men because they mirror his own beliefs, both politically and spiritually.

‘Radical-in-Chief’

Obama’s subversive intentions are examined in a new book by Stanley Kurtz titled Radical-in-Chief: Barack Obama and the Untold Story of American Socialism.

Kurtz gives us a glimpse in an Oct. 12 National Review article, “Obama’s Radical Past,” excerpted below —

“On the afternoon of April 1, 1983, Barack Obama, then a senior at Columbia University, made his way into the Great Hall of Manhattan’s Cooper Union to attend a ‘Socialist Scholars Conference.’ There Obama discovered his vocation as a community organizer, as well as a political program to guide him throughout his life.

“The conference itself was not a secret, but it held a secret, for it was there that a demoralized and frustrated socialist movement largely set aside strategies of nationalization and turned increasingly to local organizing as a way around the Reagan presidency — and its own spotty reputation. In the early 1980s, America’s socialists discovered what Saul Alinsky had always known: ‘Community organizing’ is a euphemism behind which advocates of a radical vision of America could advance their cause without the bothersome label ‘socialist’ drawing adverse attention to their efforts.

“A loose accusation of his being a socialist has trailed Obama for years, but without real evidence that he saw himself as part of this radical tradition. But the evidence exists, if not in plain sight then in the archives — for example, the archived files of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), which include Obama’s name on a conference registration list. That, along with some misleading admissions in the president’s memoir, Dreams from My Father, makes it clear that Obama attended the 1983 and 1984 Socialist Scholars conferences, and quite possibly the 1985 conclave as well. A detailed account of these conferences (along with many other events from Obama’s radical past) and the evidence for Obama’s attendance at them can be found in my new book, Radical-in-Chief: Barack Obama and the Untold Story of American Socialism.” Full Article

Serfs up — the age of rationing

Let me ask you — are you better off with this administration’s social and political decisions? Do you have a job? Are you making a better living for your family? Do you still own your own home? Are you paying your bills? Is your family eating better? Can you afford to take a vacation? Or are you barely making ends meet?

Are you shocked to see the vacancies at the malls and the number of stores that have completely gone out of business? Are you wondering why America is coming undone and people are grumbling and frightened? Aren’t you? Isn’t it a shame that college graduates can’t find a job?

Are you comfortable with the fact that Obama shoved his unsustainable healthcare system down everyone’s throats? It should be renamed RationedCare.

There will be death panels for the young and the elderly who are deemed unable to contribute to society. Don’t come down with a long-lasting critical medical condition or you will be told you’ve had enough medical treatments. Don’t forget what Obama said to a woman about her elderly mother before the bill was passed. Obama’s HealthCare solution for the elderly was to just take a pill.

Will America stand for this lack of compassion and senseless, ugly abuse? If we do not vote in the Republican Party to repeal and stop the madness, this will become the norm under the guise of medical treatment. Call it what it really is — a form of cold and heartless euthanasia.

The choice is ours

Strange how it did not matter to the president or the Democrat Party when concerned citizens marched into Washington, D.C., and made it plain that they wanted nothing to do with the redistribution of wealth that is called socialism.

What did we see just a few weeks ago at the Lincoln Memorial? It couldn’t have been more blatant and out in the open. Marxists, communists, and union thugs mingled with Democrat politicians along with the most far-left organizations. The president made no apologies for the unruliness and the un-American messages on the hand-held signs, although it was his website that promoted the gathering. Go figure. Does all of this give you a safe, warm, and fuzzy feeling?

Are you going to continue to allow our Constitution to be trashed by a president who appoints special czars and bypasses the House and Senate?

If all of these facts do not motivate you to get out and vote and take back your country, I don’t know what will. These elections, which are being held across the nation, are our last chance to grab our country back and begin to repair all the damage that has been willfully perpetrated upon it.

Who we are

We’ve got to take a stand. With boldness and humility, let’s understand who we are. We’re grassroots patriots who’ve come this far by faith and leaning on the Lord. With His help, we can right the wrongs of this crazed administration.

Our winning of these elections will be sweeter as we give God the glory. It will be an “Oh Happy Day!”

“We must call upon God, and He will see us through.” — Glenn Beck

America will not survive the political and social trials that are to come if we are not engaged in the fight to protect our Judeo-Christian beliefs and our American way of life. We do not want to become a socialist country by “forcing Peter to give to Paul.”

Redistribution of wealth is immoral. We will head in the wrong direction by continually pushing our nation into socialism. We must stop it at the ballot box.

There comes a time when people are shoved to the edge of despair, but then the rush of a mighty wind comes out of the ash heap and awakens a spiritual revival. With humbled hearts, a million or more patriotic and God-fearing people are expected to arrive in Washington, D.C., a few steps below the Lincoln Memorial on August 28th, with a pledge of Restoring Honor at a nonpartisan rally led by Glenn Beck.

The event

GlennBeck.com says of the Restoring Honor Rally —

“Throughout history, America has seen many great leaders and noteworthy citizens change her course. It is through their personal virtues and by their example that we are able to live as a free people. On August 28, come celebrate America by honoring our heroes, our heritage, and our future.

“Join the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, and many more for this non-political event that pays tribute to America’s service personnel and other upstanding citizens who embody our nation’s founding principles of integrity, truth, and honor.

“Our freedom is possible only if we remain virtuous. Help us restore the values that founded this great nation. On August, 28th, come join us in our pledge to restore honor at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC” (emphasis added).

That’s a praiseworthy purpose all decent Americans can support.

America in a free-fall

If we had been a more vigilant and wise people, we would have elected a president who shared the same principles as our Founding Fathers. They believed in the teachings of the Holy Bible. America’s birth was premised upon the Christian faith.

Our country has been in a free-fall since President Barack Obama was sworn into office. It will not be enough for us to depend on our own humanity to pull this mighty nation out of the turmoil we find it in today. Too much harm has been done by this tone-deaf and arrogant administration. They have touched every facet of our lives, including our houses of worship. Progressive pastors have used invective and unscriptural teachings to mislead their parishioners and congregations. The emotional stress is taking its toll. America needs divine intervention to help set us on a path of self- responsibility, healing, and righteousness.

Our economy is plummeting. For a growing number of Americans, jobs are nowhere to be found. Things worsen with each passing day. More people than ever before are looking to government for help to sustain them and their families. Americans resent having to live like that. We are naturally a “can do people” with a hard work ethic. It goes against our grain to have to live on an unemployment check.

And when it comes to our foreign and domestic policies, we stand back and shake our heads in disgust and fear. The president, however, loves to party while everything around us falls apart. His mishandling of the oil spill is one example. There is not one day that the American public gets a respite from the president and his destructive Democratic Party.

Thought-provoking scenario

On Aug. 10, American Thinker ran a visionary article by economist Monty Pelerin titled “Desperate Economic Action Ahead?” Here’s an excerpt:

“The economic condition of the country continues to decline toward its rendezvous with an as yet unknowable catastrophe. Speculation regarding this outcome is natural because self-interest, if not self-preservation, is at stake.

http://mises.org/Community/user/Profile.aspx?UserID=19047″Here is but one possibility. It is not a prediction, but a look at a series of not improbable events that could develop. Any similar government desperation would change our economic world overnight.

“It is mid-year 2012. The country has officially been in recession since the end of 2010. Many believe that it never recovered from what began in 2008. The word ‘depression’ is now almost commonplace.

“Trust in Congress has fallen to single digits. Similarly, government reports and statistics are increasingly mocked by the public. The media is likened to Pravda because only government-speak is allowed. Distrust, despair, and fear are everywhere.

“2012 Economic Scenario:

    * Official unemployment numbers approach 14%. Unofficial estimates of unemployment range from 30%-35%. There are no signs of a turnaround in employment.
* The Dow-Jones average has hovered around 4,500 for the past month.
* Official GDP has been declining for four consecutive quarters. Independent analysts estimate the true numbers have been declining for two years.
* Tax collections continue to drop while federal spending accelerates. The deficit is expected to exceed $3 trillion. Federal debt now exceeds $16 trillion.
* The rate of foreclosures has doubled from the previous high in 2011. Personal and corporate bankruptcies have reached levels thought impossible.
* Major companies have left or announced intentions of leaving the U.S. to avoid the confiscatory taxes and regulations. College students, unable to find jobs, are emigrating to more favorable economies.
* California, Illinois, and several other states are in bankruptcy court. Almost a thousand municipalities have filed as well. Many states and municipalities are using IOUs for payments.
* Welfare and unemployment checks are two months behind on average. Social Security checks and Medicare reimbursements are delayed. Some private pension funds have reduced their payments by 10%-25%.
* Hospitals and doctors refuse to see Medicare patients until federal reimbursements, already eight months behind schedule, are paid.
* Public unions across the country are on strike. Large areas are without teachers, police, firemen, or hospital staff.
* Food stamps are rejected at grocery stores because of slow reimbursement and government default risk.
* Martial law has been imposed in several cities to counter rioting and looting.
* Isolated runs on banks have occurred. Mattress-stuffing is considered less risky than zero-interest returns from banks.
* The dollar is rejected by local merchants around the world. Oil is priced in a weighted basket of currencies of which only 20% represents dollars.
* Foreign disinvestment in Treasuries has been accelerating as a result of trade wars, concerns of default and the desperate need for funding at home.
* Gold is selling at $2,800 per ounce.

“Despite incredible money-creation, the deflationary spiral continues. Banks continue to add more excess reserves. Creditworthy borrowers refuse to borrow. People and businesses everywhere have hunkered down, waiting for the next shoe to drop. Many withdraw funds from the banking system in fear of its collapse.

“It is against this backdrop that the President of the United States appears with a major economic announcement. . . .” Full Article

Honoring God

We’re headed off the cliff, and we need to draw a line in the sand and stand with God. Let us learn from our past mistakes and move forward with dignity and boldness. Do everything that is “honoring to the Lord.” As God requires, continue to grow in the faith.

I have no idea why it seems that God called out a man named Glenn Beck. As an Evangelical Christian, I can see by his deeds why Beck said yes to the Lord. And like Moses who was reluctant to take on the job of leading the children of Israel to the promised land, Beck continues to put one foot before the other. American conservatives want to restore honor to our country. We’re all about helping others to live a better life while we are here on this earth. America will see her better days once again if we will only humble ourselves and pray and seek His face.

“The American people cannot be distracted by racial exploitation; the future of this great nation truly does hang in the balance.” — Steve McCann

Americans need to realize the damage that racial manipulation has done to our country. The blame can be put squarely on the Democratic Party. They have used racism for political gain since the days of the Ku Klux Klan. Let’s have a brief refresher course about just who the Klan were.

Militant members of the Democratic Party, calling themselves the Ku Klux Klan, spread like wildfire across the South after the Civil War. The group targeted Republicans who were involved in freeing the slaves. The Klan attempted to preserve white supremacy through violence, including torture and murder. They intimidated and killed both blacks and whites. By the late 1800s, the federal government began to prosecute the Klan for its crimes and curb the fanatical mayhem.

The current nonsense that the Republican Party is not for all people is just that. Conservatives want everyone to be successful and reach their highest potential. That is the American spirit. The blessings of freedom must be kept in this land forever. Unfortunately, our country is going down the path of repressive tyranny — thanks largely to the modern Democratic Party, which is obsessed with making racial unrest a central theme of its agenda.

The pre-eminent racist

During the last national election, voters should have been more careful to scrutinize the candidates. Barack Obama has a racist past. His communist friends and family could hardly be described as honorable in matters of race. The presence of America-hating, race-agitating Rev. Jeremiah Wright in Obama’s life was evidence that Obama was going to be a problem if elected. It’s my personal opinion that the president’s religious beliefs are mainly what determines how he leads this nation, including foreign policies.

When Obama was serving in the U.S. Senate, his voting record was that of an extremist. He may have presented himself as a centrist, but in reality he was a Marxist radical. As long as he continues to sit in the Oval Office, our country seems helpless to stop his “progressive” plan to undo our constitutional republic. So far, nothing has been able to counter his deliberate imposition of socialism. America suffers from his dictates.

Approaching the whole topic of race — which appears to permeate Obama’s tactics — is a risky undertaking. No one wants to be misunderstood and called a racist. If a white person speaks the truth about big government handouts — i.e., so-called “Social Justice” — he or she is demonized and condemned as a bigot. Today, the Democrat Party still manipulates people of color by tickling their ears with lies, while seeking to control them with demagoguery. Activists have even used the churches to enslave them through Black Liberation Theology — which is Marxism with a hallelujah choir.

Excerpts from “Never-Ending Racial Hostility” by Steve McCann

A few weeks ago, American Thinker published Steve McCann’s commentary “Never-Ending Racial Hostility.” Below are excerpts:

“I came to the United States in 1952. At that time, this was a segregated country. Discrimination based on race was something I could not understand nor had ever experienced. I lived, once adopted, in a quiet quasi-Southern town where I saw firsthand the invidious nature of rank bigotry and racism.

“My father managed two movie theatres, one in the white part of town and one in the black. One time, he took me to his office at the white theatre and then to the one in the black theatre. I asked my father why the makeups of the audiences were so starkly different, and he replied, ‘That is just the way it is.’ Not satisfied with his answer, I asked why the dark-skinned people live on one side of the river and the white on the other. He said, ‘That’s the way it is in this country — people prefer to live with their own races and not mix, besides it’s the law.’ I replied to him that I thought it was wrong. I had never viewed or perceived the nature of a person by his or her skin color. . . .

“For decades now, unscrupulous black leaders have been able to extort money and political power through the tactic of yelling racism whenever an incident involves white and black citizens. Whether there is racism at play is immaterial. As the charge of ‘racist’ has been the greatest societal pejorative since the 1960s, most people have simply cowered, paid up, and tacitly admitted guilt. Meanwhile, the black population has been repeatedly told by their elected officials that the reason for the poverty and despair in the inner cities is due solely to white racism.

“Further, this hopelessness could be mitigated only by reparations, more government spending, and by citizens continuing to vote for these same left-wing Democrats who had helped create these conditions in the first place. This has been a deliberate effort to keep resentment alive instead of solving the real problems of these communities, mainly education, economic development, and job creation.

“However, the most egregious and disgusting actions of all have been by the white liberal Democratic politicians who have used the race card to achieve power and advance their political agenda. They do not care if racial strife is perpetuated, nor are they concerned for the well-being of the black population, except to use them as a pawn in their incessant drive to control the levers of government.

“With the election of a far-left president and Congress determined to remake the country, these white race-hustlers have now shown their true character by asserting that any criticism of President Obama’s radical agenda is racist in nature. In order to stifle criticism, induce guilt, and pass their socialist agenda, they claim this is still a racist country. . . .

“Racial relations [,however,] are no longer an overarching issue for our times. Rather, the challenges facing the United States today affect all, regardless of skin color. The policies put forth by President Obama and his radical cohorts in Congress will have a devastating impact on the ability of this nation to survive as a great economic and military power. The American people cannot be distracted by racial exploitation; the future of this great nations truly does hang in the balance. Full article

Unconscionable coercion

Every day, Americans wake up and understand the fact that our president is not looking out for our country or its citizens. Everything he does appears irrational on the surface. In actuality, his plans are carefully calculated. Most Americans do not want a socialized healthcare system foisted upon them. Our “Saul Alinsky” president can be counted upon to reject the will of the people — without conscience. Will the healthcare bill ever be repealed? It’s up to us to make sure it does by our own activism in the upcoming elections. There are other acceptable options for improving the best medical system in the world besides socialized medicine. Allow those we vote into power this fall to achieve that goal. They’ve heard from the people, and I believe conservative politicians get it. Smaller government is desperately needed.

Under this corrupt administration’s “care,” we do not have a healthy, growing economy. The number of people who are losing their jobs is overwhelming. Obama has nearly bankrupted our country. People fear whatever else he may have in store to level American culture. We’re on the way to becoming a banana republic. Last year, Democrats were passing bills without reading them. This year, they are passing bills without voting on them, thanks in large measure to the president’s Czars. When we give strength to the GOP, we will see things change, and our economy will start to rebound and grow throughout the private sector.

Enough phony dialogue about race

When some black Obama voters exclaim that they wish to have a dialogue with whites, it means they want an open opportunity to accuse their fellow Americans of being prejudiced. They don’t seem to want to acknowledge that people of every color, including white folk, voted for the president.

Since I’m not a bigoted person by nature, I’m very concerned about what is taking place. Americans are being manipulated into a phony dialogue over racism because Obama wills it. Never mind that bigotry of any kind is a sin in God’s eyes:

“If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, Love your neighbor as yourself, you are doing right. But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers” (James 2:1-9).

Rev. Martin Luther King’s dream was never to judge a man or woman by their color. He knew such practice was evil. “Hatred paralyzes life; love releases it. Hatred confuses life; love harmonizes it. Hatred darkens life; love illuminates it.” — Martin Luther King, Jr.

When does all of this obnoxious racial caterwauling stop? Will the New Black Panthers, the union thugs, and communist anarchists force America to revisit the disruptive 60′s and its rampaging riots within our inner cities and rural communities? It’s all a possibility. If you have not noticed — nothing is normal in our country anymore.

The upcoming elections are extremely important. “We The People” must vote every Democrat out of office. And come 2012, we must show Mr. President the door.

I believe that we will not be successful in taking back our magnificent nation without the Lord’s help. It’s time to pray and “put on the whole armor of God.” Listen: Ephesians 6:10-20

I’ve been thinking and thinking about the way President Barack Obama has been taking care of our country. And my emotional reaction has been one of sadness, anger, shock, disgust, and dismay.

For most Americans, as well, the news of the day has become a bit too much concerning the state of the Union. We feel abandoned, bullied, pushed, and intimidated by our “historical” president. Dare I say he seems to have some issues?

Frankly, Obama’s recent address to the nation did little more than add insult to injury. He gave no answers that made any sense. He only became “wee weed up” while spending a great deal of his time telling us we can no longer depend on oil and shamelessly pandering his green energy propaganda.

Outmoded fear-mongering

On Hannity the other evening, my colleague Erik Rush nailed it while discussing his new book titled Negrophilia: From Slave Block to Pedestal — America’s Racial Obsession. The Democrat Party purposefully misleads people of color by reinforcing their fears, Erik pointed out. And certain pastors in the black community do the same, he noted. Within too many of the sanctuaries of black churches, the congregants are made to feel that the world is against them. From the pulpit, these same pastors will look to government, rather than to God’s instruction for taking personal responsibility. In John 10:10, Christ says, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” The apostle John writes, “Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers” (3 John 1:2).

We were told throughout Obama’s campaign that if it were possible, he would bring racially-diverse Americans closer together than ever before. I viewed this promise as empty rhetoric because, like my friend Erik, I do not believe for one moment that America is deeply embedded in racial problems. We moved forward a long time ago. Americans intermarry and raise wonderful children together. And anyone can be whatever he or she chooses to be when they are willing to put their mind and effort to it. This is 2010, and we’re not gawking at the color of each others’ skin.

However, ever since the Obamas moved into the White House, we’ve heard — with incessant racial-mindedness — something much different. Americans of all nationalities and ethnicities on the conservative side are not going to tolerate or embrace the progressives’ downtrodden, race-baiting lies being tossed out in the public arena. We’re in touch with the heart of America. The radical liberals are not. Have you seen the recent polls?

Bigotry masquerading as religion

When Rev. Jeremiah Wright first stepped onto the political scene, he opened the door to unabashed bigotry. For the very first time, most Americans were shocked to learn about Black Liberation theology. It had nothing to do with biblical Christianity whatsoever. It was about hatred of others who happened to be of European white descent. Liberation theology also has to do with being anti-Semitic.

There in an ungodly mix is a theology that demands a payback of sorts. It’s about what some white and black people did during the very distant past days of slavery. And sadly, in the minds of some, it does not matter what was accomplished during the Civil War. It does not matter what Martin Luther King, Jr., accomplished in the 60′s as Americans came together for heart-felt healing.

Today, we actually do have open bigotry. Let’s call it out where it exists. It emanates from those who want to continually live off the bygone past. There are race baiters within the worlds of politics, media, and faith. The number of such radicals serving with the president is staggering. We should be more outraged. We need to ask why other politicians continue to give this president and his corrupt cabinet any respect, much less the time of day.

Marxists posing as Christians

Pastors of many denominations are in close contact with Rev. Jim Wallis, an openly avowed socialist/Marxist who is a member of President Obama’s “Faith Council” and is described as a spiritual adviser to the president. These pastors are behind the scenes busily helping the president. They’re defiantly cheering Obama on as he becomes more unbending and aloof in his thoughts. Yes, he is a master at working out a very successful strategy of redistribution of wealth, or what is cleverly called “social justice.” If anyone of importance says one word against the president or his big-government policies, they are demonized.

Americans need to understand the destructive role that churches and pastors of once-conservative denominations are playing. They have allowed progressives into their fold and given them high offices within their churches. They stand ready to help re-elect Obama. They will gladly help him pass his green agenda — Cap and Trade. These denominations are no longer America’s friend. The United Council of Churches consists of little more than progressive ideologues. They neither love their country nor respect the Word of God. They are on the side of tyranny. Any denomination that mirrors their teachings should be viewed with suspicion. “While I pray that God will have mercy on their souls, we must show them no mercy politically. They are but another well-organized group of traitors to this nation” — Erik Rush.

Excerpts from “What Exactly Is ‘Social Justice’?”

In a May 16 article at American Thinker, Jayme Sellards writes:

“The term ‘social justice’ is now commonly used by leftist activists, clergy, educators, judges, and politicians to describe the goal they seek to achieve with many of their policies. No precise definition of ‘social justice’ is ever offered by the left. Instead, the term is always used in a vague way — as if everyone already knows, or should know, what the seemingly well-intentioned phrase ‘social justice’ means.

“So, what exactly is ‘social justice’?

“Social justice is the complete economic equality of all members of society. While this may sound like a lofty objective, what it really means is that wealth should be collected by the government and evenly distributed to everyone. In short, social justice is communism. It is rooted in the Marxist idea that the money people make and the property they own do not rightfully belong to the people who make the money and own the property.” Full Article

Deceptive faith

It seems that when faith and the biblical gospel message should be at the apex in rebuilding America’s moral and material stamina, we as a nation are thrown into more chaos. To understand what is happening to our country, we need to understand Obama’s faith. Only then will our eyes see our unfortunate destiny.

The president will not handle our foreign allies with dignity or respect because he has none for them. It’s absolutely shameful how Israel has been treated by this president and his czarist administration. Matters of a deceptive faith held by the president have everything to do with why our country is being purposely trashed and dismantled.

Welcome to Obama’s America. How do you like socialism? The progressive, quasi-Christian faith of Black Liberation Theology will lead our country right into the throes of Marxism. And let it be known that Obama has never denounced his anti-Christian belief system. So please, Mr. President, do not talk about Jesus Christ to born-again Christians who have the gift of discernment. You’re not up to their spiritual “pay grade.”

Plenty to fear

As we wrestle with the fact that a once-thriving free-market society has been taken to the woodshed by a narcissistic, vengeful man, there is plenty of fear to go around. How does one reckon with a president who personally believes he has the right to mete out social justice to all of America?

How is social justice applied? In plain English, the process is denigrating. It takes away personal liberties, property, and money from hard-working people and fritters them away in big government programs steeped in nebulous, sweeping agendas. It reaches across the abyss to punish an entire nation.

This mindset belongs to a president who wants to force a new view upon our country in a short period of time. Obama is changing America’s image for his own sake and in dogmatic deference to those who’ve shaped his way of thinking. His father was a communist and his mother was a Marxist sympathizer.

Look what the tide brought in

Week after week, we see disaster looming on the horizon. America’s president can’t be counted on to tackle an emergency such as the BP oil spill. It’s now become a scandalous nightmare for both man and animal.

Where was Obama’s concern for the people? What about the beautiful helpless creatures that are dying from the thick sludge? So much for the care of Mother Earth!

Thirteen anxious, committed foreign countries and the UN stand ready to help with the rescue effort — yet the president has turned them away. And for what reason wouldn’t he waive the Jones Act? Regardless of the spin Vice President Joe Biden gives, there have been no overtures from the White House to clear the way so foreign vessels will feel comfortable committing their time and energy to help clean up the mess.

People believe that Obama’s hesitation to allow other nations to help us clean up the spill has more to do with big unions than the constraints of federal laws that a president can set aside when need be, as President G.W. Bush did during the Katrina disaster. Who in a rational state of mind would behave so unconscionably? Obama is instrumental in the destruction of our ecological system, along with people’s livelihoods.

What type of a man would willfully turn down desperately needed help that could spare our ocean and shores and secure our wildlife? Here is a picture of a man we need to vote out of office. He and his so-called “social justice” have done enough to bring this magnificent country to its knees.

“For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it begins at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?” — 1 Peter 4:17

When clergy knowingly become involved in an unscriptural heresy called Social Justice, they have sinned against God. It does not matter what denomination is tainted by this false theology, the results will be the same. The Bible says there will be a falling away from God’s truth, which many believe is taking place now:

“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition” (2 Thessalonians 2:3).

Worldly-minded ministers who get caught up in this “progressive” movement do so for many reasons, including power and political gain. They knowingly misrepresent the Word, and do not appropriately tend their congregations. Among other things, they’re intentionally obsessing their parishioners with Mother Earth (environmentalism).

“I am come that they might have life”

God sent His Son to save the human race from sin. He died so we could have life eternal with Him. The Lord will destroy the world someday and present to His family a new heaven and a new earth. Sin will be vanquished and never be allowed to rise again.

The scriptures beautifully portray the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, in which old things pass away. Revelation 1:7 reads: “Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him.” And in Revelation 21:4, we catch a glimpse of God’s plan for our new future: “There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” The very thought expressed in the verse is comforting and extremely powerful.

The full text says,

“Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” (Revelation 21: 1-4)

Unfortunately, progressive pastors are not interested in being about their Father’s business of saving souls for Christ’s sake. They appear to have their feet firmly planted in the here and now. They are very content to let big government dole out “social justice” and provide greenhouse churches to worship in complete with solar panels and all. Such slothful and unconsecrated frauds will eventually stand before the Great White Throne of God and answer to the Almighty for leading others astray and not teaching the everlasting gospel.

The unrepentant pastors will find that their chickens have come home to roost. They’ll reap what they have sown: “For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch” (Malachi 4:1).

The gospel of Karl

There are false pastors embedded within America’s churches who want to destroy the gospel of Christ and replace it with Marxism. The deceivers are not afraid of the wrath of the Lord. They do not believe in the God of the Bible. They are pandering a scheme that involves big government programs and a myriad of things that have nothing to do with the command to finish up the work and the preaching of the Good News.

God’s relationship with man is one of love. He wishes for us to obey Him freely through love. The Almighty gave mankind the gift of free will and the knowledge of how Christians should relate to each other, including the poor.

Americans are good and generous people who have always risen up to meet the needs of the poor. We also entrust our churches with our tithes and offerings. We give freely of our time and money to charitable organizations. The Bible does not mention one word about forced redistribution of wealth, or intrusive government programs for bringing about coercive “social justice.”

Charity is a desirable human tendency that comes from our relationship with our Lord. It’s an action God never forces. God “loves a cheerful giver.” However, the Obama administration has enticed some well-known denominations with “pay for play.” Become a lover of the Green Earth and your church will receive special favors.

Unconstitutional maneuvering

Our government plans to bypass Congress through administrative edicts of the EPA. And if your church embraces climate change — well, let’s say good things will happen. At the peril of the entire country, progressive churches will promote Cap and Trade. Yes, Democrats want Christians and others faiths to become titillated about saving the globe.

I guess these same misguided Christians have forgotten that, in the Garden of Eden, God cursed the earth. It’s a tragic true story of human disobedience — the lack of respect and adherence to God’s Word.

While all this clever chicanery is going on, Christians are to be led by God’s Holy Spirit. We’re to live a righteous life — to be set apart. We are not to engage in the sinful activities that this fallen world promotes, nor are we to retain a corrupt mind that this world has helped to create. Rather, we are to conform ourselves to the mind and will of Jesus Christ (Romans 12:1-2). We must be a living testament of joy in all our daily activities and personal commitments.

All believers need to understand their role in the world. We are the children of light. We’re not to be led by those who try to bring us into bondage and spiritual darkness. Christians are to live in such a way that those outside the faith see our good deeds and know that there is something special about us. While holding on to God’s saving grace, we’re to make every effort to live Christlike before those who do not know the Lord. Otherwise, we do Him a great disservice. By our example, non-believers will see fulfillment of Christ’s admonition that “by their fruits you shall know them.”

Enjoy the beautiful things that God has laid before us. Nature is breathtaking. Worship Him — but never His creation.

Excerpts from Erik Rush

Recently, writer Erik Rush addressed the growing movement of progressive socialists among those professing Christianity. Below are excerpts from his article “The apostasy of ‘social justice Christians’”:

“Revelations concerning people who call themselves ‘social justice Christians’ have recently become a cause célèbre among conservative commentators. Initially, I was disinclined to tackle the subject, since there have been several worthwhile articles and programs addressing it as of late. However, since the phenomenon so closely resembles another upon which I have expounded with regularity, I reasoned that some elucidation thereupon would be accommodating to civic-minded Americans.

“‘Social justice Christians’ are those who profess Christianity, but who adhere to politically entrenched concepts of equality and redistribution of wealth. These ideas are ostensibly rooted in their faith, but in truth, they have been incrementally and insidiously insinuated into many American churches by Marxists, progressive politicians, and pastors whose religion has been tainted by the aforementioned parties.

“How can this be? Well, through the misrepresentation of Gospel messages in the areas of charity and egalitarianism, such Christians have been led to believe that:

    * Government has a right to enforce religious doctrines (such as those of charity and egalitarianism); and
* Jesus Christ, as a threat to the existing paradigm, was the “first radical” and essentially commanded this in His teachings.

“A preposterous extrapolation, to be sure, but that’s what they espouse. And of course, government only has the right to enforce the religious doctrines of which these folks and their leaders happen to approve.

“Organizations such as the Sojourners (founded by communist ‘reverend’ Jim Wallis) and other SJC entities have been flexing their collective muscle since the election of Barack Obama as president. Most recently, a public service announcement campaign led by the Hollywood Adventist Church (don’t laugh; this is serious stuff) via New Name Pictures and entitled “I’m a Social Justice Christian” hit the Web, provoking the condemnation of those who, well, see social justice Christianity for what it is.

“Why do I bring this up now — other than because social justice groups have been flexing that muscle lately? Because the methodology in play is precisely how the left corrupted the black community — through their pastors and their churches. In the 1960s, the church was still the bulwark of the black community. Marxists subverted black pastors, then interwove their (social justice) dogma into the Gospel.

“It is the same creed that destroyed black families and the character of black Americans; now, the political left is mobilizing deluded Christians in the general population to do their malevolent bidding. President Obama’s “organizers” are capitalizing on the raw sensitivities of a largely white middle-class subgroup that has been browbeaten with charges of racism for years.

“According to SJ Christians, in addition to oppressing minorities (though it remains a mystery as to precisely how), we are destroying the planet; these issues must be addressed decisively and with all due speed — by the federal government. First, it was necessary to advance the notion that the Earth’s atmosphere was going to flash off into space imminently, hence the climate-change fear-mongering.

“In addition to the discredited (and therefore dubious) evidence supporting climate-change theory, adherents to “environmental justice” wholly ignore the fact that we have managed to engineer automobiles that are exponentially more fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly than those produced in the 1970s, when the last environmental panic occurred. American industry has done likewise across the board, and environmental consciousness and our sense of stewardship of the Earth is at record levels across the political spectrum in America.” Full Article

Corruption from within

When Christians become aware that their own denominations have been infiltrated by progressives, they’ll probably not get very far contacting the church’s conference offices or hierarchy. Those in charge are most likely involved and will simply turn a deaf ear.

Most of Christendom will worsen as liberal ideas — such as same sex marriage, global warming, and evolution — continue to creep into the church.

When godly people of faith see the changes taking place, it’s time to leave and start afresh in a church where the Word is not being compromised. I’m afraid there will be very few places where a soul can find refuge, yet God will always have a people who will hear His voice.

Remember that biblically-sound Evangelicals have always presented the truth of the seven-day creation story that is found in the book of Genesis. Why? Because it is scriptural. Yet the progressives have managed to increase their numbers by touting evolution in places where it previously had never been taught, including privately-owned Christian universities and other learning institutions.

“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth” (Genesis 1:1)

And as President Barack Obama proceeds to purposely destroy America, he wants to create a new paradigm that will eventually diminish Christianity, so our country can continue down the path of secularism, along with a thrashed interpretation of our Constitution.

Return to Christ

Take out your Bibles. Read them. Know who Jesus Christ is. Only then can we defend the faith by knowing the truth and holding it up against and defeating the counterfeit.

Our nation is being taken apart, inside out, by radical forces who abuse their powers. Obama and his Democrat cronies are seeking to destroy America and then rebuild it in their own image. The president has ignored the will of the people, and has forced upon every citizen an insidious socialized healthcare plan. Yet Social Justice Christians stood by his side, aware of the ugly outcome of his actions.

Resolve now to vote them out of office. Let us begin humbly but boldly, as we move ever forward. We will take back the country, a nation founded upon Judeo-Christian beliefs.

The American people intend to send President Barack Obama packing in 2012.

The Obama regime is headed up by the most radical president America has ever had the misfortune to endure. It’s pretty much a given that Obama will be forced to depart after the “grassroots” converge on the ballot box this fall and two years hence. His elitist’s arrogance and lack of respect for the will of the American people cannot be tolerated any longer.

Citizens of the greatest country in the world are ready to do whatever they can these upcoming elections. We will vote every Democrat and RINO out of office.

As overwhelmed as we may feel by the destructive advance of Obama’s radical agenda, we will continue to do what is correct and just. We’re going to remove a man from the Oval Office who should have never been there in the first place.

Obama was a progressive Marxist way back before he ever appeared on the political scene. He’s now been totally exposed — and we don’t want what he’s been meting out to the American public. He has callously taken our country in the wrong direction — one patterned after what Marx pretentiously called “scientific socialism.”

Obama’s racial emphasis

There is nothing charming about an angry, bigoted racist who uses Social Justice to seek revenge against America’s past. We refuse to continue to be lumped into imaginary race problems of the retrograde world foisted upon us by the president and first lady.

America is an integrated society, intermingled by choice through marriage, healthy friendships, and personal relationships. Put the race card down, because it does not resonate with the truth Americans live every day. It is most unfortunate and sad that our very first black president continues to try to dismantle and destroy his own country because of the misguided worldview of his communist upbringing. Obama does not like or appreciate America’s greatness, which was founded upon the Judeo-Christian faith.

The Constitution is steeped in biblical precepts and premises. It’s unfortunate for us is that our own president finds our beginnings offensive. The changes he is pushing look nothing like our forefather’s American dream, or ours for that matter.

Some sanity, please!

Below are excerpts from “Obama Continues His Relentless Destruction of America,” by Sher Zieve:

“If it is a statement that cannot — or will not — be backed up with facts and We-the-People demand to see the proof, Obama & Co denigrate, malign, and call us ‘racists and terrorists.’ Specifically, if we demand to see Obama’s birth certificate (the real one — not the Photoshopped phony birth certificate that appears from time to time on the Internet), we are called ‘racist birthers.’

“Still, Obama is allowed to skirt the law and present any apparent piece of forgery he wants, while (in order to shame others into remaining silent) using the excuse of his half-white/half-black lineage. Isn’t that the true racism? And all the while, Obama & Co is working relentlessly to dissolve the United States of America — with, thus far, no one stopping him.

“If we disagree with Obama on issues of substance — for example, his obvious-to-those-with-working-eyes anti-job/anti-prosperity legislation — as does the thus far peaceful TEA Party movement, we are called extremists and DHS and the FBI are now watching those who protest against the Marxist Totalitarian ObamaGov. In order to silence any and all dissent against the now firmly despotic U.S. government, even the old leftie and former Prez Bill Clinton spoke out recently on the TEA Party movement’s anti-ObamaGovernment stance — comparing it to the Oklahoma City Federal Building bombing. Now, that’s truly extreme!

“And, if we speak out against Obama’s pro-abortion commands — which include a baby’s murder even if the attempted abortion was botched and produced a viable living child — we are referred to as ‘Bible-toters’ and the child is to be left to die. Obama & Co continues its demands that ‘unwanted fetuses’ . . . be terminated — and quickly! Ending the Right to Life is essential toward destroying the USA.” Full Article

Americans who love their country and value their God-given freedoms will not allow Obama and the Democrats’ ill-thought-out policies to infringe on or hamper our constitutional rights. Goodness and justice for all will prevail. And as in the 60′s when Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., led the civil rights moment, Americans of all nationalities and colors will take up the banner of freedom to preserve our way of life.

Chicago-style politics

We stand at the precipice of history once again and demand life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. We must reject tyranny until it is finally laid to rest. Americans, repel the demeaning words of Hope and Change that were first presented to us in an impressive tone, but which eventually turned out to be dirty Chicago gangster politics, full of anger with an agenda of dishonesty and centralized control by a despot who happens to live in the White House.

Americans continue to raise their voices as we see whom and what we’re up against. It is difficult to get up each morning without being shocked to hear the tone and tenor emanating from the White House. Meanwhile, both the media and the Democrat Party are using strong-arm tactics to squelch their opponents among the American people.

Good, law-abiding citizens who attend rallies and marches to express their concerns are purposely demeaned and mocked. Their efforts are ignored. The leader of the most important country in the world feels perfectly comfortable when he belittles those who elected him to office.

‘Un-American’ activities

Something very odd and different is happening within our nation, and we feel it. Uncomfortable, unsettling emotions permeate the air. Most Americans are looking at their government with a wary eye.

The public are defiantly asking questions about many things. They are leery of the media, who refuse to report acts of violence against the Tea Party goers. It’s obvious the press prefer to laugh and ridicule them. Where were they when a black Tea Party attendee was verbally threatened and then physically beaten reportedly by SEIU union thugs last summer? The same question is being asked about a young couple who were savagely beaten after leaving a Republican Party fundraising dinner held for Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal a week ago.

There was no ABC, CBS or any other alphabetical media coverage of the couple who were followed to their car and accosted by someone who was among a very angry hostile crowd that gathered outside the restaurant. Both are still recovering from the attack.

And what is going on when free speech is called seditious and treasonous by propagandists in the liberal media? Such outrageous accusations are hurled at Fox News, conservative talk show hosts, and Sarah Palin for taking the president and his policies to task. The allegations are out of line and extreme. The rhetoric used is bombastic and over the top and could, itself, be deemed un-American.

For their part, the president and his entire administration might be guilty of committing acts of treason by their un-American actions. America has become a more dangerous place to live. Obama’s foreign policies are nonsensical, and real homeland security is still lacking. Obama swore to uphold the Constitution, yet he repeatedly ignores and tramples it.

‘Where there is no vision, the people perish’

The general public understands that something is very wrong as an eerie darkness falls over our land. Nothing is normal anymore as jobs disappear and our country is in debt as never before.

These are very sad and perilous times we are living in. May God hold back the four winds of strife.

Keep the faith as we move forward. Put the Almighty into the equation and give your life over to Him. Love your family and friends. Tell them every day how important they are to you. Find your strength and comfort in the Lord. “These are the times that try men’s souls.” — Thomas Paine.

At one point in my grandfather’s young life, he found himself to be a very unhappy man. He became angrier and angrier with every passing day. He knew he had a problem, but he wasn’t about to admit it to his wife and children. Grandpa would often say that he was misunderstood by others, including his own family. Instead of seeking guidance, he made them pay the price for his pent-up frustrations.

Too often he took his anger out on his family by becoming verbally abusive behind closed doors. And then, when it was over, he would leave the house in a huff, while hanging his head in shame over the fact that he had just treated his defenseless brood so badly. Within his heart, he knew he was wrong.

With tears stinging his eyes, he would walk down the street whispering to himself a promise to never do that again. He would assure my grandmother that he really meant it. But just a week later, after a tough long day at work, he would do it again. And at times he would break furniture into pieces while shouting at the top of his voice. He frightened his entire family, who cowered in their bedrooms.

These escalating acts were repeated just like a time-bomb ticking. He yelled at his wife and snapped at his kids without provocation, again and again. It was those outside forces that annoyed him. Unfortunately, this young father and husband had not learned not to bring destructive emotions through the door of his own home.

A changed heart

Thankfully, grandfather’s life changed and there was happiness after all. For you see, grandfather made a promise to God to follow Him. And by grace, he allowed Christ to have His way. He literally became the father that my dad longed for. And to God’s glory, grandfather became one of the major reasons why my own father gave his own life to the Lord. His father’s transformation was a tremendous witness to attest to what Christ can do when you’re willing to yield to the power of the Holy Spirit.

Because of my young age, I never experienced the out-of-control and angry side of “papa.” He was, to me, a happy, kind, smiling face who sang with the church choir. Those are the memories I’m privileged to have whenever I think of him. He died a little over two years ago with his loving family by his side.

The truth is that no matter what your personal circumstances are, when the human spirit yields itself to God, His love can bring about changes because He is faithful. It’s my personal opinion that folks can’t truly alter their lives without a commitment to a loving God. The Bible describes this as having a born-again experience:

“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3).

Man is sinful and separated from God, yet He still loves us. Being apart from God makes it impossible for people to keep promises to themselves and put a stop to doing things they know are destructive behavior. But by the grace of God, they can overcome their sinful nature.

“When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying Who then can be saved? But Jesus beheld them and said unto them, With men this is impossible, but with God, all things are possible” (Matt. 19:25-26).

Willpower not enough

To this very day, America is still fighting a war against terrorism. I can’t help but think of the tremendous increase in church attendance shortly after the World Trade Center collapsed in 2001. Stunned and very frightened, people suddenly became determined to be on good footing with the Almighty God.

Prominent pastors became enthusiastic because an act of terrorism promised to precipitate a major spiritual revival in America. Unfortunately, it took only two short months and it was over. Church attendance went right back down to where it was before the horrific attack took place.

It’s regrettable that this revival only lasted a couple of months. Didn’t the people who suddenly went back to church actually mean to return to matters of faith and take it seriously? They had the perfect opportunity to experience a renewal and make a positive impact on society, while bolstering morality which is floundering in our country today. I am convinced, for the most part, that they did, at least for the time being. It’s evident, however, that fear was not enough of a motivator to keep their religious faith intact, it was enough only to bring them to church temporarily. When the planes stopped crashing into buildings, life just simply went back to the mundane. People quickly forgot all their promises and went back to the way things were.

We can spend a lot of time deciphering the self-sufficient will of human beings who do a lot of talking about willpower and the strength of sheer determination. Apply those topics to arenas in the world of business, careers, or politics, and there is something to be said for that. We live in a country where we can become as successful as the next person. However, in the world of faith, sheer willpower simply isn’t enough, because most temptations are bigger than the willpower we can muster up all by ourselves.

                                                                                           Broken promises

While reading through my Bible, I’m reminded about the Israelites. In the Book of Exodus, they had just been delivered from Egyptian slavery. God’s “Promised People” had seen the hand of God part the Red Sea and drown the Egyptians. They witnessed the fiery presence of God come down on the top of Mount Sinai. As they were privileged to watch the spectacular wonder of the moment, they made a solemn promise to God. Moses spoke with God, and then gave a report to the Israelites:

“And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the Lord had commanded him. And all the people answered together, and said, ‘All that the Lord hath spoken we will do.’ And Moses returned the words of the people unto the Lord” (Exodus 19:7, 8).

The Israelites made a promise to God, and they believed it was an easy promise to make after following God’s presence out into the desert. They repeatedly made the same promise after Moses had received the Ten Commandments:

“And Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, ‘All the words which the Lord hath said will we do’” (Exodus 24:3).

They repeated the same promise again a couple of verses later:

“And Moses took the book of the covenant, and read it before the people, and they said, ‘All that the Lord hath said will we do, and be obedient’” (Exodus 24:7).

When the Israelites made these promises they were sincere. Unfortunately, the rest of the Book of Exodus and the Bible exposes the sad record of God’s people repeatedly breaking their promises to the Lord. They found themselves doing the very things they had promised God they would never do again.

The problem is not just sin, but ‘sinfulness’

I believe that God’s people today mean it when they promise to stop committing certain sins. They just don’t have what it takes to keep their promises. There has to be a real personal relationship with the Lord. When you love God, you want to please Him.

The Word describes sin as the transgression of God’s moral law: “And the problem of sin runs very deep. Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness” (1 John 3:4).

But sin is not just something we do. It’s also something we allow to enter into our lives. God could have solved the whole problem by just removing the laws we were breaking. Yet, intuitively, we know there’s more to it than that. Our sins separate us from God. The Scriptures say that we are powerless to change our sinful ways by ourselves:

Isaiah wrote, “But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear” (Isaiah 59:2).

The prophet Jeremiah expounds on the subject plainly: “Can the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard his spots? Then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil” (Jeremiah 13:23).

God says that you can no more change your sinful nature than you can change the color of your skin. If transgression were just a matter of breaking the rules, all you would have to do is stop breaking them. Can you do that?

But there is something about the human heart that has been changed by the nature of sin. Unless regenerated by the power of the Holy Spirit, Christians will continually find themselves helpless to live the life they know they should live to glorify their Savior. They will not be able to witness to others and draw others close to them. The work of the Great Commission will be difficult to complete —

“Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:16-20).

A faithful heart

It’s obvious that too many Christians suffer from a heart problem. So get out there and flex your spiritual muscle, and with God’s help begin to change your ways.

“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:9).

Breaking God’s law is sin. Acting out and being disobedient has trickled down into the very essence of our being. Everything we do is infected by it. Even the good things we do, according to the Bible are sullied:

“But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness is as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away” (Isaiah 64:6).

Without a spiritual rebirth, even with all the good we do, our works are like filthy rags. Sin will have sway over us. Mankind’s thought processes have been perverted. Sin has altered our misguided priorities. Most importantly, it has taken our focus off “The Great I Am” and put it squarely on ourselves.

“Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

Our own weakness explains why we sometimes find ourselves unable to walk away from sinful habits. We know that smoking cigarettes can cause cancer. Yet we often refuse to take personal responsibility and break free from a psychological habit. We know that bad temper can ruin our family, but we can’t seem to close the lid on our fuse. We know that our lying, gossiping mouth is doing untold damage to others. Yet many will not have that conversation with the Lord and ask Him to help them change.

Not alone

Take solace in the fact that you are not alone and that everybody struggles with something. You have never experienced a temptation that somebody else hasn’t felt:

“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man” (1 Corinthians 10:13).

Whatever you’re going through, others have walked that same path. Let me share with you a little secret. The most recognized persons in the Bible have struggled with the same temptations you struggle with.

Most of the disciples proved to be faulty in one way or another because they were human, despite being saved by the blood of their Savor. Did you know that Moses had an extremely hot temper? David certainly struggled with a lust problem. And Abraham lied about his wife to save his own skin. Peter struggled with taking a stand in public acknowledging his discipleship. He denied his Lord three times. Noah had a problem with alcohol.

The Bible is full of people just like you and me. It’s amazing that throughout His Word, God refused to abandon suffering people. If you are willing to be used by God, and willing to let Him make the changes in your life, you’ll be astonished at how He can turn things around.

Real hope and change

As we strive to remove a Marxist progressive agenda that now plagues our country, we must understand the game plan: If “We the People” are not willing to return to the God of our forefathers, there will be little or no chance to do what we desire to accomplish.

America’s beginnings where ushered in by men of faith who embraced the fact that mankind received their inalienable rights from our Creator God.

Patriots, it’s time to dust off your Bibles and put your emphasis on the Word of God. Let us never forget that God established the greatest nation in the world. When we think of freedom, remember that it is The Almighty who has given us the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. What America needs is a change of heart that is faithful, true, and enduring.

President Barack Obama stood before Congress and the American people just a little over a week ago to deliver his State of the Union Address — but his words still resound as nothing more than the tirade of a spoiled, frustrated, scolding and angry man.

While some might claim that the president’s long speech was effective and promising, many have a different view, citing his failure to connect with the majority of the American people, who no longer trust the man. Too many eyes have been opened.

Obama can say he’s not a political ideologue all he wants, but Americans know he’s a hard-core “progressive.” He stands for changing his country. That is not his job.

Just before the November 3, 2008, election, candidate Obama openly remarked: “We are 5 days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.” That declaration of dependence heralded the “change” Obama intends to achieve — and which Americans must resist with all their might and means.

Contrived crisis

The January 2010 issue of Whistleblower Magazine — which is themed “The Crisis Creators” — opens with an anecdote by WorldNetDaily publisher Joseph Farah:

“Back in January 1973, National Lampoon sported a brilliant cover — probably the satirical magazine’s most famous.

“A cute black-and-white dog was the visual element, staring ominously at a revolver pointing at his head. The headline read: ‘If You Don’t Buy This Magazine, We’ll Kill this Dog.’

“People bought the magazine in droves, not because they believed the editors of National Lampoon were really going to kill the dog, but because it was so funny.

“It strikes me that Barack Obama and the Democrat-dominated Congress are governing along the same lines. The only difference? They’re not joking.

“Instead of putting guns to the heads of dogs, they are manufacturing crises they claim will result in the imminent destruction of the world as we know it and demanding we buy their solution or else.” (emphasis added)

In other words, Obama’s strategy for transforming America is to force change by contriving the need for it.

How?

In its promotion of the “Crisis Creators” at Whistleblower, WorldNetDaily lays out Obama’s secret tactic for “fundamentally transforming America”:

“The Obama administration’s primary modus operandi of governance is the transformation of America through wreaking havoc. . . . The administration is busily engaged in undermining and destroying the nation’s key institutions.”

Excerpts from WorldNetDaily’s promotion of “The Crisis Creators: Exposing Barack Obama’s secret strategy for transforming America”:

“The American electorate has watched in amazement for a year as the Obama administration has created unprecedented havoc and outrage throughout the nation.

“And yet, the actual result of 2009′s non-stop crises has been not just the dramatic transfer of wealth and power away from citizens and small businesses and into the hands of government, but also the beginnings of a profound transformation of America’s economic and governmental system. . . .

“Following the classic radical-left strategy of the manufactured crisis, the Obama administration and Congress are creating crises in every area of life and policy.

“They’re wreaking havoc throughout America’s capitalist, free-enterprise system by taking over major industries like banking, auto and healthcare. And by multiplying the national debt so astronomically that the only mathematically possible way to pay it off is with the printing press, which translates directly into the ‘grand theft’ of Americans’ hard-earned wealth through major inflation.

“But it’s not just the economy. They’re wreaking havoc also on America’s national security; prosecuting U.S. soldiers for being too rough on terrorists, but rewarding confessed 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed with a civilian trial in New York City and affording him all the powerful legal rights of an American citizen. And by badmouthing and apologizing for America overseas and bowing before Muslim kings, while scandalously snubbing leaders of America’s few remaining allies like the U.K. and Israel.

“They’re creating crises in the nation’s energy policy by stubbornly adhering to the controversial and now utterly discredited ‘global warming’ theory and pursuing economically catastrophic legislation like ‘cap and trade.’ They’re creating havoc in education by putting radical homosexual activist Kevin Jennings, notorious for sexually corrupting children, in charge of the safety of the nation’s public schools.” Full Article

What a waste of engineered “crises”

It is apparent that Obama is the wrong guy to lead our nation, along with his far-left Congress ready and willing to botch up what is left of America’s flailing economy and dangerously compromised homeland security.

In spite of his oratorical abilities, Obama has been a failure when promoting his sweeping new government healthcare program. He was unsuccessful in trying to convince the American public to abandon the very best medical care this world has to offer.

We were promised that everything put forth by this administration was going to be transparent, bipartisan, and strictly above board. None of the president’s promises has become a reality.

Americans, left and right, have Obama’s number. The man speaks out of both sides of his mouth. He intends to push through his radicalized political agenda, come hell or high water: “I’d rather be a really good one-term president than a mediocre two-term president.” He has already wasted a great deal of his political capital on his ill-advised schemes.

The people are weary of Obama, and for good reason. On a daily basis, he refuses to hear the citizens of this country and what they expect from him. The president and the legislature work for us — yet they arrogantly will not acknowledge the great majority of citizens who reject his ideas. The people do not want impossible, nonsensical, far-left ideological policies. They want every one of them halted and tossed out. Our country is going in the “wrong direction.”

We do not want cap and trade or socialized healthcare. Enough with destroying our private sector at the hands of unchecked, overreaching government bureaucracy. In fact, Americans want tax cuts across the board to help grow our devastated economy. The president must begin to think and act like a conservative if our nation is to be spared the calamity it is obviously headed for under his leadership.

It is time the president owned up to the fact that Americans have grown wary of his Marxist-style meddling with the U.S. economy and his domestic and foreign policies that he continually blames on others.

Public opinion polls show that Congress is even less popular than the man sitting in the Oval Office. This poses a major problem for the president’s party, which holds big majorities in both houses, since the backlash is aimed directly at them. Republicans control nothing in the legislative branch.

Obama has unleashed his frustrations on everyone, including the Supreme Court and the general populous. If he continues to ignore the widespread anger directed at the federal government, the conservative movement will finally seize the hour. There will be more victories like what we just witnessed in Massachusetts. That turnabout will be good for America.

Wright is wrong

In times of perplexity and trouble, a true patriot puts his country first, not any political party or narrow partisan interest. However, don’t hold your breath. Let us not forget that Obama sat in Rev. Jeremiah’s Marxist church for twenty years. What we saw when Obama addressed the nation was indicative of where his ideologies came from. The apple does not fall far from the tree, as they say. Wright and Obama share in the same political and religious dogma, which are both rooted in Marxism.

Here is a video that shows Rev. Wright’s appearance at a September 17, 2000, anniversary celebration of the Monthly Review. Wright said that the “corporate media” provide a “binary lens” of the world, pitting communists against Christians — a perspective he rejects in favor of the multi-layered “no-nonsense Marxism” of Monthly Review, which enables professing Christians to espouse communist ideals. View YouTube: “No-nonsense Marxism” — An Independent Socialist Magazine, Monthly Review

The resulting combination of big-government policies and self-righteous, reckless leadership will be the demise of progressive Democrats. They will be challenged at every turn by fiscal and social conservatives running for office.

The United States is being undermined and frighteningly transformed before our eyes. We’re not going to like what’s in store for us if we fail to stop the madness. As of now, only a few brave legislators are speaking up. House Minority Leader John Boehner has accused the president of subverting and circumventing the Constitution by appointing so-called czars who are not subject to Senate confirmation or scrutiny.

The world of Karl Marx

When Marx was born in the early 1800′s, the world’s way of life was rapidly changing. The human race was exploring the new frontiers of scientific discoveries. Inventions such as the steam-powered locomotive, the battery, and the electric light were becoming a reality. The sewing machine brought convenience to women’s lives. Prior to this invention, clothes and other materials were sewn by hand. Elias Howe made it possible to produce clothing for the masses.

John Stevens, with help from his sons, erected a circular railway in Hoboken, New Jersey, as early as 1826. Within the same span of time, the art of photography began to flourish. The doctor’s stethoscope was developed, along with the typewriter. In 1828, the first telegraph in the USA was invented by Harrison Dyar.

On May 24, 1844, from the Supreme Court chamber in Washington, D.C., Samuel Morse sent out the telegraph message “What hath God wrought?” to the B & O Railroad Depot in Baltimore. Maryland.

The world was still in transition from the old feudal societies. One of the things that were slow to disappear within Western Civilization was the dramatic financial inequities that existed between the haves and have-nots. The working conditions for the average laborer were often pretty dismal. As the economy shifted from agriculture to factory- based industry, children labored alongside adults. The factory owners found children useful not only because they could be paid minimal wages, but also because their small stature made them more suitable to operate machines that fit in tight spaces.

It was during this time that Marx began to shape the philosophies of the rest of the world. Unfortunately, the thoughts that continuously flowed from his pen have incited revolutions around the world. As many as one third of the earth’s people have been subject to communistic thinking in one form or another, as a result. Although the Soviet Union has given up its power, communist regimes continue in power to this day.

The mind of Marx

It’s impossible to look into the mind and thoughts of Marx in one opinion piece, but I’ll take a shot at it.

Marx looked at the social inequity and human suffering that existed in his day and tried to make some sense of it all. He believed that the world was an unfair and unpleasant place to live.

While the world reorganized itself around the industrial revolution, Marx saw its inequities become more obvious than ever. It was then that he created the modern theory of socialism. Marx put out a pamphlet entitled “The Communist Manifesto,” which states:

“The history of all hitherto existing society is the history of class struggles. Freeman and slave, patrician and plebeian, lord and serf, guildmaster and journeyman, in a word oppressor and oppressed, stood in constant opposition to one another, carried on an uninterrupted, now hidden, now open fight that each time ended, either in a revolutionary reconstitution of society at large, or in the common ruin of the contending classes.”

What it says basically is that the society was divided into two groups: those who owned everything (the oppressors) and those who possessed very little. In his mind-set, the people were forced to work for the owners. When things got bad, Marx stated that conflict always breaks out between the classes, and the conflict either fixes the problem or wipes everybody out. Either way, according to Marx, good or bad, the problem has a way of resolving itself.

As a writer, I know the diehard socialists will probably shriek when I summarize Marx in such a simplistic way. But in essence, that is it. In the mind of Marx, those inequities would eventually be eliminated through a revolution that would pave the way for the abolition of private property and create a so-called “equal” society.

In fact, in “The Communist Manifesto,” Marx says: “In this sense, the theory of the Communists may be summed up in the single phrase: abolition of private property.”

Imagined communalism

Marx believed that if everybody, as a group, owned the means of production, they would all benefit. His writings include the phrase: “From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.” He believed that if everybody selflessly contributed to the welfare of everybody else, controlled their own personal greed, and only took from society what they actually needed, things would be ideal.

Imagine a world where no one took more than they needed, and spent most of their time working for the good of everybody else. Unfortunately, the problem with such an imagined utopia, as well as every failed communist experiment, is that it denies the real cause of human suffering.

Marx believed people basically are shaped by the environment they grow up in. To an extent, of course, he was correct. Where people live and the circumstances they grow up in indeed influence the way they participate in everyday life.

But they don’t cause it.

As a child, Marx was baptized into the Lutheran faith. However, it should not shock anyone that his unscriptural beliefs parted company with the Bible. Marx despised the idea that we are born with certain innate tendencies. If the Word of God underscores one thing, it’s that we all have in common a sinful heart.

“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?” — Jeremiah 17:9

The Almighty said there really is an underlying problem with the human race. Since the fall of mankind, our hearts are willfully wicked. The problem is so pervasive that we can scarcely understand it. Our rebellion against God has corrupted our hearts and minds so profoundly that mankind has “become sin.” The Bible teaches that we are the reason there is suffering in this world.

There are those who refuse to understand. Nevertheless, it doesn’t take much observation to put two and two together. We all suffer from deeply flawed human tendencies.

Marx argued that things such as crime and violence are the result of the environment we live in, and to some extent, that is true. However, it is not complete. You can take a group of infants and raise them on a beautiful island where they would have none of the hardships of everyday life, or any of the negative influences of the world. They can be pampered with every advantage in life. A number of them are still going to do wrong things.

According to the Bible, we were all conceived in iniquity. Sin is a part of who we are and how we function as human beings. No matter where we run and no matter how hard we try to eliminate the problem — the rebelliousness lies in our hearts, and keeps coming to the surface.

Human nature

The truth is that not all terrorists come from poor families. Osama bin Laden believes that it was a moral triumph to kill innocent people on that infamous day of September 11, 2001. He instructed his men to fly planes into skyscrapers, leaving a nation devastated and shocked. Was this an act of an uneducated man without huge personal fortune?

The facts are these. No matter what your advantages are in life, you’re still a sinner. Eliminate every environmental factor that causes people misery today, and by tomorrow they will still do something wrong because they are sinners. The problem is universal. God describes it this way:

“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us” (1 John 1:8).

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

“For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under sin. For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do…for the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice…for I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?” (Romans 7:14, 15, 19, 22-24).

Take time to reread these verses. They may seem confusing. There is much to digest within them. They basically say that too often we do wrong things that we’d prefer not to do, and the things we’d really like to do, we don’t follow through with. That’s something we all can understand.

Self-centeredness the root of the problem

We have an inborn sense of right and wrong, and, although at times it becomes distorted, we’re aware of what our basic faults are. We can promise ourselves that we will change, but more often than not, we will do the wrong thing again and feel bad for it.

The root problem was planted in our hearts when we first broke away from God. In the beginning, we existed in a faith-based relationship with God. Adam and Eve trusted their Heavenly Father and believed that His Word was always best.

Then mankind shifted their focus from the throne of God to what was perceived to be in their own best interests. It was a radical change that took place in the human heart. As a result, we severed our relationship with God and broke the faith that we once had.

Today, people find themselves operating on their own. The driving force that powers the human mind is sinful pride, arrogance, and selfishness. By our remaining apart from God, the problem will never be changed.

Consider, if you please, the passage from the Book of Jeremiah where God describes for us the impossibility of fixing our own hearts:

“Can the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard its spots? Then may you also do good who are accustomed to do evil” (Jeremiah 13:23).

This is the reason why the communist experiment continuously fails. It simply refuses to take into account the fact that people are basically sinful. Without God’s saving grace, people will continue to be selfish, even if economic inequities are temporarily done away with. There is nothing that points this out more clearly than the way that communist governments play out in real life.

Those unfortunate souls who have lived under communism have discovered the absence of “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” No matter how much you close the gap of wealth between the higher and lower classes in communist-run countries, some will always cheat and become wealthy, while the masses live lives of deprivation and servitude.

The so-called “Social Gospel”

To address the plight of the needy, God makes it very clear that he wants us to help:

“He who gives to the poor will not lack, but he who hides his eyes will have many curses” (Proverbs 28:27).

Our collective sins have created the mess we live in. We all are responsible for those who are suffering. Search through the pages of the Bible carefully. You will find no mention of government’s responsibility to care for your neighbor. By a very stark contrast, the responsibility falls upon us, individually.

Jesus commends those who feed the hungry and visit those in prison. What the Lord does not say is “Good for you, you voted for the Democrat Party that is pushing “social equality” and forcing an ill-conceived social justice program upon every citizen. Instead, Christ has a word to say about those who refuse to help people in their time of need:

“Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’ Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me’” (Matthew 25:44, 45).

It is disturbing when Christians replace sound biblical teachings with what is known as the “Social Gospel.” During the latter part of the last century, a number of theologians willfully reinvented Jesus as something of a Marxist radical. They have changed the Gospel message to be primarily about feeding the hungry and clothing the poor.

There is no question God expects us to take care of the needy, but the Social Gospel denies, or at least ignores, the root of the problem. The truth of the Bible is that we have a massive sin defect in our hearts and we need a Savior.

Jesus actually said on at least one occasion that the poor would always be with us. God’s heart aches for those who are suffering. However, Christ wasn’t expecting a social revolution that would fix the problem of human inequity. As long as we are sinful human beings, and as long as we live in a sinful world, inequity will always be a part of life.

“Scientific” socialism

Marxist ideology has proven to be nothing more than a diversion from the real problem of sin. Here is another interesting fact about Marx. He was motivated by the theory of evolution, which was taking hold at about the same time he began to publish his social, economic, and political theory. There are similarities with Marx and his concept of class struggle and Darwin’s thinking related to the survival of the fittest.

These two theories have much in common. They both deny the essential problem we live with on planet earth. The Lord created a perfect world, and we blew it. The only true solution for the corrupted human heart is found at the cross of Christ.

Corruption always seems to rise to the surface. Our best intentions are marred by our inability to take our eyes off ourselves when the ultimate solution is found in the promises of God’s Word. He knows exactly what we’re living with. The Word says that The Almighty notices our suffering, and although we are undeserving, in due time He will eliminate the problems we’ve caused:

“For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former shall not be remembered or come to mind. But be glad and rejoice forever in what I create; for behold, I create Jerusalem as a rejoicing, and her people a joy” (Isaiah 65:17, 18).

God has given us a promise. This world will be replaced because it has been corrupted. The Bible is clear. We know that God has a better plan.

It’s unfortunate that Marx didn’t pick up the Holy Bible and read the words that could have warmed his heart:

“They shall not build and another inhabit; they shall not plant and another eat; for as the days of a tree, so shall be the days of my people, and my elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. They shall not labor in vain, nor bring forth children for trouble; for they shall be the descendants of the blessed of the Lord, and their offspring with them” (Isaiah 65:22, 23).

“And they sang a new song, saying: ‘You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; for You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and have made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign on the earth” (Revelation 5:9, 10).

Marxism the “opiate”

Karl Marx once said that religion was the opiate of the masses, because he believed that Christianity was a tool of the rich oppressor to keep the poor man under his thumb.

It’s unfortunate that Marx did not read more of the Good Book. As it turns out, it just might be that Marxism is the real opiate of the masses. Marxist theory has people focused on the wrong things. Marx actually diverted our attention, and that’s something important to think about.

“You do well to wish to learn our arts and our ways of life, and above all, the religion of Jesus Christ. Congress will do everything they can to assist you in this wise intention.” — George Washington.

Never rely on government or others to have the answers to life’s problems. We have been given the blessing of a country that began with high ideals based on the Word of God. There is no other country like America. It is time we remove the scourge of Marxism from our politics. Where lies your hope and with whom? The answer is obvious. Seek a renewal of the mind through Christ Jesus. America might not be spared tyranny unless its people understand what is necessary in the eyes of our Heavenly Father. The answer just might be a prayer.

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” — 2 Chronicles 7:14
