U.N. requested a cease-fire, without making the distinction between attackers and defenders. Palestine was partitioned in an Israeli State, a Palestinian State and Jerusalem was internationalized . In the end, the aggressors were rewarded.

- In October 1962, with the news of the confirmed photographic evidence of Soviet missile bases in Cuba, President Kennedy started the naval quarantine around Cuba without the potentially time-consuming appeal to the United Nations.

- In the 1970′s, Pol Pot, Khmer Rouge leader, killed over 1.7 million of civilians. U.N. secretary General Perez de Quelliar insisted on protecting the Khmer Rouge. Pot was not summond before the tribunal of The Heaghe. The aggression stopped when Vietnam invaded Cambodia, also ignoring the U.N.

The war against Israel:
- In November 1975, the U.N. ruled that Zionism was a form of racism. The U.N. voted 152/1, to call on Israel to rescind a resolution declaring Jerusalem its capital. – In 1991, Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir commissioned an analysis of U.N. voting towards Israel. From 1967 to 1988, the Security Council passed 88 resolutions directly against Israel, zero resolutions criticized or opposed the actions or perceived interests of an Arab state or body, including the PLO. Israel was condemned 49 times, Arab countries however, not once. In the General Assembly, 429 anti-Israel resolutions were passed in that span. Israel was condemned 321 times; Arab nations not once. The term terrorism was never mentioned.
- The U.N. Human Rights Commission now includes Zimbabwe, China, Ukraine, Algeria, Bahrain, Congo, Libya, Sudan, Russia, Syria, Uganda and Vietnam; not exactly good examples of civil liberty. In April 2002, the commission passed a (pro-terrorist) resolution condoning “armed struggle” to establish a Palestinian state.
- “To the Israelis I say: You must end the illegal occupation,” Annan said, following a long-standing U.N. agenda. “More urgently, you must stop the bombing of civilian areas, the assassinations, and the unnecessary use of lethal force, the demolitions, and the daily humiliations of ordinary Palestinians.” No word was however said about the humiliation of Israelis who hide in their homes in fear of suicide bombers. Annan ignored the action of gunmen that murder five-year old girls in cold blood, and of teenage bombers programmed to indiscriminately kill Jews. The word terrorism or suicide bomber was not even mentioned.

- In Somalia 1993, the U.N. failed to successfully deliver food to starving people in Somalia. Local warlords instead usually seized the food. A US/U.N. attempt to apprehend the warlords seizing these shipments resulted in the 1993 Battle of Mogadishu. On October 3, 1993 Somali men, women and children armed with automatic weapons and rocket propelled grenades ambushed elite units of the U.S. Army. Approximately 1000 Somali militiamen and civilians lost their lives in the battle, with injuries to another 3000-4000. More definitely, 18 American soldiers died, and 73 were wounded.

- Srebrenica massacre 1993. Dutch U.N. troops stood by when Serbians under General Ratko Mladic slaughtered more than 7000 Muslims Bosnians in Srebrenica. The Dutch troops pulled out and let it happen after refusal of air support by a U.N. General. The enclave was a “safe area” under U.N. protection. The Dutch Government fell about the matter, but at the U.N. there were no resignations. The conflict escalated and fights in Kosovo and Macedonia followed. President Clinton together with Nato defended the Kosovars against the Serbian army, this time without a U.N. Security Council resolution.

- The U.N. Failed to prevent the 1994 Rwandan genocide, which resulted in the killings of nearly a million people, due to the refusal of the security council members to approve any necessary military action. The violence and its memory continued to affect the countries in the region. Both the First Congo War and Second Congo Wars trace their origins to the genocide, and it continued to be a reference point for the Burundian Civil War.

- Clinton 1996 urged for action on the Iraqi problem, but France, China and Russia blocked decisive action. Richard Butler chief U.N. weapon’s inspector, warned several times against Sadam Hussein’s ambitions, he was however fired by coffee Anan. Butler was replaced by a weaker figure that showed more respect to the Sadam-regime.

- Concerning the war between Iran and Iraq, the U.N. just made a resolution refraining both countries immediately from any use of force, without ordering Iraq to withdraw his army out of Iran. Although Iraq was undoubtedly the aggressor, U.N.’s moral equivalence made no difference between aggressor and defender.

- Against Saddam’s genocide attempt, with Chemical weapons, against the Kurds, The U.N. did nothing; it was the U.S. and the U.K. who defended the Kurds ignoring the U.N.

- 1996, the United Nations Oil-for-Food program, originally conceived as a means of providing humanitarian aid to the Iraqi people, was subverted by Saddam Hussein’s regime and manipulated to help prop up the Iraqi dictator. Saddam’s dictatorship was able to siphon off an estimated $10 billion from the Oil-for-Food program through oil smuggling and systematic thievery, by demanding illegal payments from companies buying Iraqi oil, and through kickbacks from those selling goods to Iraq, all under the noses of U.N.. The members of the U.N. staff administering the program have been accused of gross incompetence, mismanagement, and complicity with the Iraqi regime in perpetrating the biggest scandal in U.N. history. The former director, Benon Sevan had accepted bribes from the Iraqi regime. Also implicated in the scandal is Kofi Annan’s son Kojo Annan, alleged to have illegally procured U.N. Oil-for-Food contracts on behalf of the Swiss company Coctecna.

- U.N. International criminal Court: the Court came into being on April 11, 2002. The first to come under investigation for possible war crimes charges was not Saddam Hussein, Osama Bin Ladin or Robert Mugabe, no, unbelievable but true, it was Tony Blair!

- 2001, A few days before Arab terrorists attacked the U.S. on September 11, U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan was in Durban, South Africa, to attend a U.N. world conference on racism. An event that showed an undisguised anti-Americanism. Delegates from Arab and Third World dictatorships as well as terrorist states vilified the United States and the West and demanded “reparations” for slavery. Among the nations, demanding slave reparations was Sudan, a nation where slavery is still practiced.

The Durban conference was hosted by South African President Thabo Mbeki, a former leader of the African National Congress (ANC), a communist-dominated terrorist group. During the 1980s the ANC slaughtered thousands of black South Africans. Yet, Annan described the ANC’s South Africa as “a beacon of enlightenment for the entire world”.

The only conclusion of the conference was branding Israel a “racist apartheid state guilty of systematic war crimes, acts of genocide, and ethnic cleansing.” Conclusion: The United Nations, an alliance where Syria, one of the main state-sponsors of terrorist organizations is elected to the U.N. security council for a two-year term. Soon resolutions will be approved saying that military aggression only can happen between uniformed opponents, in this way excluding terrorism from the competence of the Council.

Systematically, the rules are changed in a way that genocide will be considered as internal affairs of the respective states. As I already indicated in my previous articles and on my website, I am an advocate of a strong “Western Alliance”. The best the West can do is step out of the United Nations and found a new Council, e.g. “The Western Democratic Allied Nations” and actions should be taken independent of the decisions of the U.N. Actions according the principles of the new Council, Democratic decisions, morally well considered, with distinction between aggressor and defender and considering Human Rights. The “war on terror” must be continued resolutely. Shortly after the Israeli raid on Entebbe, the American President Ford made a wise declaration: “Freedom is a value which must be fought for in every generation”. http://www.westernfreedom.com

When we think of terrorist assaults, we visualize hate spitting imams or a serene Osama Bin Laden in front of us; we think of Palestine, Syria, Iran, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. However, as you will see below, this is a very wrong representation of the facts. Although the people and countries that are mentioned are pulling the strings, the real danger is coming from another side.

According to Robert S. Leiken’s “Bearers of Global Jihad? Immigration and National Security after 9/11″, Muslim immigrants have carried out 86% of all major terrorist attacks; converts to Islam executed the remaining acts of violence. The Oklahoma City bombing of 1995 is the only exception.

We can conclude that in our Western countries, jihad has grown mainly by way of Muslim immigration. Two methods have been employed for the execution of violent acts against the West: “the sleeper cell” and the “hit squad”. Hit squads: these are foreign nationals who enter the country with a specific assignment, such as the 9/11 hijackers. Sleeper cells: consist of unsuspicious people quietly living in immigrant communities. They work, they have kids, they have studied, are polite, they have fixed addresses, they pay the rent; in other words, they act as exemplary citizens.

The lifestyle of Muslim immigrants in Western Europe and the United States is significantly different. In Europe, the Muslim second generation is culturally alienated, socially marginalized, and economically unemployed, with raging fundamental ideologies and terrorism (gang rapes, anti-Semitic attacks and anti-American violence). In the United States, immigrated Muslims are not as alienated as the European Muslim immigrants are. Consequently, jihadist violence is here carried out by hit squads from abroad.

Opposite to expectation, terrorists do not come from countries like Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia or Egypt, for the simple reason that the leaders of the terrorist organizations are not brainless and try to stay away from special attention and extra scrutiny. Recruiting predominantly happens in Europe and countries under the Visa Waiver Program.

In Israel, the situation is as follows: according the Israeli Intelligence (Mossad), Hezbollah has seldom attempted to gain access to Israel, restricting its operations to the Israeli-occupied security zone in south Lebanon. Mossad has however, indications that Hezbollah’s military wing has started recruiting European converts to Islam to carry out terrorist attacks against targets in Israel. Terrorists have found out that Europeans can move around in Israel more easily than Arabs can. Mossad also expects that Hezbollah may be moving its base of operations to Europe in the event it is forced to disarm in accord with Syrian-Israeli peace talks.

An example is Steven Smyrek, a British-educated German, converted to Islam and recruited by Hezbollah for a potential reconnaissance expedition with the aim of bombing targets in Israel followed by a suicide mission (he was caught before he could strap on a bomb). From what is mentioned above, the West must draw the necessary conclusions:
- Assimilating indigenous Muslim populations is critical to the West’s long-term security.
- Islamist threat in the West originates above all from Europe.
- European and United States security services should recognize they face different problems: one primarily internal, the other mainly external.
- The West should concentrate on immigration systems that keep out sleepers and hit squads.
- For Americans, the Visa Waiver Program must be adjusted or abolished.
- Controlling land borders is a much higher priority than worrying about Iranians and Syrians.
- Europe must urgently stop today’s easy reliance on euphemisms concerning Muslim violence.

Political correctness must be put aside and the State’s security must have priority above increase in votes. It just happened in the Netherlands where thanks to excessive concessions to the Muslim Immigrants, the Socialist Party obtained after the municipal elections, 80% of the immigrant votes and came into power. Thanks to preferential votes, more than eighty Muslims are invested with a seat in the councils. Observing the Dutch result, the Belgian Socialists propose to teach Arabic in the schools and consider to make Arabic the second language (Belgium has already 3 languages, Flemish, French and German). Meanwhile terrorist Erdal escaped under the nose of 32 national security guards.

Writing about Wahabism and Salafi-Islam, could fill many books. I will however in this article, try to make clear why it is of tremendous importance in our time. Both movements are considered as the origin of Islamic terrorism. A lot of recent Islamic terrorists such as Osama Bin Laden, Ayman Al-Zawahiri, and Abu Musab Al Zarqawi, have been inspired by Wahabism.

Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab (1703 – 1792 ) was an Arab theologian born in Saudi Arabia and can be considered as the founder of Wahabism. Wahab is considered by many to be a great reformer of Islam, and at the same time as the “father of Islamic terrorism. Iwill not go deeply into his teachings, but expose the teachings of two of his contemporary followers.

Salman bin Fahed al-Auda, in his book “The End of History”, asserts that the solution to Islamic distress , that may bring about the fall of America and the Western world, “exists in one word which is Jihad”. According to al-Auda, the meaning of jihad is much broader than fighting with a sword. Appealing to Muslims throughout the world, he wrote: “We should not simplify this issue and narrow its meaning to a restricted military battle in one of the Islamic regions or even to an all-out war against the West, which is possible and predicted and we assume is arriving… Life as a whole is a battlefield. The weapons are not only the rifle, the bullet, the airplane, the tank, and the cannon. Not at all! Thinking is a weapon, the economy is a weapon, money is a weapon, water is a weapon, planning is a weapon, unity is a weapon, and so there are many types of weapons.” In “The End of History”, al-Auda concluded that the West by itself was already in an advanced state of decay: “The West, and above all the United States, and Western culture, in general are undergoing a historical process that is deterministic. This process leads to its total collapse, sooner or later.” His jihad was intended to accelerate that collapse. During the 1990′s, he was regarded as the most influential preacher in Saudi Arabia and Osama Bin Laden often cites out of his work.

Abu Muhammad al-Maqdisi, lin his book “Democracy is a Religion”, denies the traditional protection given by Islam to Jews and Christians. For al-Maqdisi, democracy is a prohibited innovation that contradicts Islamic values and embodies a new heretical religion. Its followers are “infidels” and “polytheists,” even if they consider themselves as Jews or Christians by religion. Al-Maqdisi based his claim on the following arguments:

1. “Democracy gives legitimacy to the legislation of the masses or to the despotic regime. It is not the rule of Allah….Allah ordered his Prophet to execute the commands given to him and forbade him to follow the emotions of the nation, the masses, and the people.”

2. “Democracy is the rule of the masses or the rule of paganism, which is conducted according to a constitution and not according Allah’s laws….Democracy has become the mother of laws and is considered by as a holy book. The religion of democracy has no relation to Quranic verses or the Prophet’s way of life and it is not possible to legislate according to them unless they are compatible with the holy book (the constitution).”

3. “Democracy is an outcome of despicable secularism and its illegitimate daughter, since secularism is a heretical school striving to separate religion from state and government.”

Al-Maqdisi concludes: “Democracy is a religion that is not Allah’s religion….It is the rule of paganism…it is a religion which includes other gods in its belief…the people represented in the religion of democracy by its delegates in the parliament…who are actually standing idols and false gods placed in their chapels and their pagan fortresses, namely, their legislative councils. They and their followers rule according to the religion of democracy and the constitution’s laws upon which the government is based, and according to the paragraphs of their legislation….Their master is their God, their big idols who approve or reject legislation. He is their emir, their king, or their president

Wahabism (together with the related Salafi-movement), is not representing the majority of Islam. Actually, it is however the most aggressive teaching and it act as if it represents all Muslims. Many terrorist groupings such as Hamas, the Egyptian Islamic Jihad, Al Quaida, Abu Sayyaf…,are followers of Wahabism (or Salafi). Enormous quantities of money are funneled through Charity organisations to these terrorist groups. Most of the money is distributed by the Saudi Monarchy. The U.S. has already blocked many of these channels. New ways for financing the radicals, will however always be found.

The only way to stop terrorism is eradicating its roots and these roots are the teachings of Wahabism and the Salafi movement. These intolerant teachings have to be stopped. The House of Saud that has been connected to Wahabism since Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab, must with the help of the moderate Muslims, renounce and forbid the Wahabi teachings and if necessary, banish the terror-preaching clergy. This is however an internal Muslim problem. The question is: has the moderate Muslim-world the wil and the strenght to realize this.

Meanwhile, the “West” has no other choice than continue it’s “War on Terror”
