Issues do not live in a vacuum. There are worldviews behind every issue, and those worldviews need to be a part of whatever issue we are debating, otherwise we will be short-sighted, and the outcome will be the result of ill-informed voters and agenda-driven policy-makers.

Now that President Obama has publicly stated that he is for gay marriage, which he says is a result of his ‘evolving’ view on the issue, “At a certain point I’ve just concluded that for me personally it is important for me to go ahead and affirm that I think same-sex couples should be able to get married,” our nation is having to address the legality, and the core issues surrounding this issue: the causes and morality of homosexuality, again.

Also of note, in the ABC interview in which Obama announced his position, he also said his decision was based on his faith in Jesus Christ and the Golden Rule, applying, ”Treat others the way you would want to be treated,” to his view on the issue.

Even though Pres. Obama blamed VP Joe Biden for getting “a little bit over his skis” in publicly and preemptively announcing his embrace of gay marriage, thus forcing Obama to prematurely announce his own support for gay marriage, to which he said, “Would I have preferred to have done this in my own way, in my own terms, without I think, there being a lot of notice to everybody? Sure. But all’s well that ends well,” the president made his announcement on the Eve of a huge Hollywood fundraiser (a $40,000 per person, $15 million raised event) for his re-election campaign. And we all know Hollywood predominately supports the gay agenda.

In today’s postmodern society, which has cast its moral compass to the wind and is running full force in making decisions based on feelings and group-think, rather than on non-emotional, well researched positions, it is critical to be informed, as well as able to communicate the facts on issues. This requires a knowledge of the history, the stated motivations and agendas of advocates, the existing law on the issue(s), and wisdom based on time-tested truth. To make a decision based on anything less is, to say the least, faulty, and more often than not, disastrous.

So, when we look at the changing worldviews that are rapidly occurring in every arena of our nation today, there’s nothing more effective than direct quotes and stated positions to shine the light on the reality of the mentalities and motivations that surround an issue, such as in this case, “gay rights.”

For instance, Gay Rights Organizational Positions and Agendas:

The Advocate (http://www.advocate.com/), the national magazine for the gay rights movement.

Then ACLU’s website (http://www.aclu.org/LesbianGayRights/LesbianGayRightsMain.cfm), advocates for gay rights.

The Lambda Legal website (http://www.lambdalegal.org/cgi-bin/iowa/index.html), the “national organization committed to achieving full recognition of the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, the transgendered through impact litigation, education, and public policy work.”

Here you can see Glaad’s media awards (http://www.glaad.org/), and the gay movement’s think tank National Gay and Lesbian Task Force’s Policy Institute (http://www.ngltf.org/).

GLSEN’s (Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network) website(http://www.glsen.org/ “envisions a future in which every child learns to respect and accept all people regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression.” They have clubs and are very active on school campuses across the nation.

And Youth.org www.youth.org is an online source of youth gay sites.

Other conference workshops, remember these are for youth, were on, ”How to Do SM [Sadomasochism];” one devoted to “polyamory,” an activist term for multiple-partner sexual unions entitled, “Turning girls into boys” at http://wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=26569.

If you want to know the
outlined agenda of the gay movement with steps for America to accept homosexuality as normal, see “The Overhauling of Straight America: Waging Peace Part Two” (http://www.defendthefamily.com/_docs/resources/8142838.pdf). This was written in 1987, and states, “To desensitize the public is to help it view homosexuality with indifference instead of with keen emotion…if you can only get them to think that it is just another thing, with a shrug of their sholders then your battle for legal and social rights is virtually won.”

The Pro-Family Law Center’s website (http://www.abidingtruth.com) as alot of additional information on the subject.

Focus on the Family provided additional quotes from an After the Ball event, which outlined key points of the gay agenda:

“Talk about gays and gayness as loudly and as often as possible.”

”Portray gays as victims, not as aggressive challengers.”

“Give homosexual protectors a just cause.”

“Make gays look good.”

“Make the victimizers look bad.”

“Get funds from corporate America.”

There’s many more resources available, and while it is not the intention of this article to list them all, nor to provide each of the elements I mentioned above as critical to being effectively informed on issues, hopefully these few websites can get you started in your own research, to help insure your worldview on this issue is based on the truth and not on rhetoric, agendas and falsehoods.

Gay Rights Advocates’ Quotes:

“We are no longer seeking just a right to privacy and a protection from wrong. We also have a right — as heterosexual Americans already have — to see government and society affirm our lives.” -Jeff Levi, homosexual spokesperson, in a 1987 speech to the National Press Club in Washington DC
“What the homosexual wants, and here he is neither willing to compromise nor morally required to compromise — is acceptance of homosexuality as a way of life fully on a par with heterosexuality.” -Barbara Gittings, gay activist, in an article entitled “Gays on the March” in 1975, Time magazine

“Just simply to say that it goes against tradition and the teaching of the church and Scripture does not necessarily make it wrong.” -Bishop V. Gene Robinson, openly gay Episcopal Bishop

“We intend to make the antigays look so nasty that average Americans will want to disassociate themselves from such types.” -Marshall Kirk & Hunter Madsen, In “The Overhauling Of Straight America”

“We shall sodomize your sons, emblems of your feeble masculinity, of your shallow dreams and vulgarities. We shall seduce them in your schools, in your dormitories, in your gymnasiums, in your locker rooms…All churches who condemn us will be closed.” -Michael Swift, ‘Gay Revolutionary’ Printed In The Congressional Record, February 15/21, 1987

“Wouldn’t it be great if you could only get AIDS from giving money to television preachers?” -Elayne Boosler, gay activist

“There is nothing wrong with going to bed with someone of your own sex. People should be very free with sex…(but) they should draw the line at goats.” -Elton John

I know, unbelievable.

Well, Joe Biden isn’t the first VP to support gay rights, again just for the record, former Vice President Al Gore was the first vice president to speak at a gay rights event, where he said, “It is time for all Americans to recognize that the issues that face gays and lesbians in this country are not narrow, special interests, they are matters of basic human and civil rights.”

See more quotes here.

So, whether we are talking about Pres. Obama’s so-called ‘evolving’ position on the issue of gay marriage, or any issue, it’s not enough to have an opinion on the subject, because evolving positions and changing worldviews do not necessarily define, or lead us to, the truth. And truth, of course, should trump everything else, right? Right.

Okay, this picture is funny, but some take the comparison seriously.

The Wall Street Journal had an article a few months back when Harold Camping predicted the end of the world would occur on May 21, 2011, called Camping the “Christian Al Gore.” Why?

Because the former Vice President is more and more being seen as part of a new doomsday cult that has grown out of the Green movement.

While there are environmental issues we should be concerned about, as Marc Morano of Climate Depot pointed out on my radio show this week , some Green devotees are using the movement to promote a radical agenda that includes population control, and exploiting people of color in third world countries, insisting on putting solar panels on grass huts!Â

The most recent green doomsday scare has been Global Warming, which in former years was thought of as a scientific theory, but today promoters like Al Gore are taking it over the edge, resulting in some Green advocates publically stating that Gore’s ‘apocalyptic’ claims are beyond even their belief. For example, as The UK Guardian’s Leo Hickman, a prominent media activist for man-made global warming, said:

“I was a little nervous this morning logging into Climate Reality…And, I have to say, my heart immediately sank, is Gore now a help or hindrance to global warming cause? I have suffered this torture too many times over the years…[Gore's show had] slide after slide of extreme weather events…& linking everyone, it seemed, to rise in [man-made] emissions…that is a very contentious peg on which to hang your hat…”

And two German scientists, following Gore’s recent ‘climate reality show’ called his latest claims ‘apocalyptic’ and his ‘promise of salvation’ disturbing.

Apocalyptic? Promise of salvation? Are they going too far with their criticisms? Perhaps a basic definition of what a cult is can help answer the question:

A Cult: controls its members’ beliefs & behavior; dictating what they accept as ‘the truth’, and who they associate with (only those who with the same beliefs); and strongly promote their leaders as having superior knowledge, and if you disagree with them you are labeled.

There are those who take this talk of Al Gore promoting a cultist-type adherence to climate change as untrue, or merely ‘tongue in cheek,’ but there are those who take his beliefs more seriously, because they take him at his word, such as he writes in his book, “Earth in the Balance,” promoting a religious duty to be ‘green’…

“The challenge before the religious community in America is to make every congregation – every church, synagogue and mosque – truly “green” – a center of environmental study and action. That is their religious duty.”

Chapter and verse please?

Isn’t it funny how leaders in the environmental ’doomsday cult’ don’t practice their own ‘preaching’? Let’s not forget that Al Gore has become a bizillionaire doing what he’s doing to promote his man-made global warming theory.

In May of 2010 Noel Sheppard at NewsBusters reported:  “Nobel Laureate Al Gore purchased a $9 million mansion in the luxurious hills of Montecito, California, recently, and with the exception of the Los Angeles Times and Fox News, America’s media couldn’t care less.   You think it might be because the Gore-loving press wouldn’t want people to consider the possibility that all of his global warming hysteria was really about lining his wallet and not saving the planet.“   Â

And remember what Gore, the Nobel Laureate, told Congress in 2009 as the House was deliberating cap-and-trade legislation? See Video.Â

Al Gore is not alone in ‘climate adherence hypocrisy’ — this movement is filled with elitists who expect everyone but themselves to follow their dictates. Who can forget the Climate Conference in Bali a few years back where environmental elitists all flew in on their private jets causing chaos? Here’s the details just to refresh our memories.

Well, I could go on and on, and I’m sure you could, too, but we’ll leave it here for now. I’ve got to hop in my SUV and buy some charcoal for tonight’s bar-be-que steak dinner.

African Americans the Target of Planned Parenthood

January is National Sanctity of Human Life Month and that means a dedicated focus on life ethics, facts and laws, such as Roe v. Wade.

As Ronald Reagan once said, “Simple morality dictates that unless and until someone can prove the unborn human is not alive, we must give it the benefit of the doubt and assume it is alive. And thus, it should be entitled to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” He also said, “An unborn child’s property rights are protected, but not his life!” Unfortunately, for minorities this is even more so the truth.

Many don’t want to, or won’t, believe that Planned Parenthood’s founder, Margaret Sanger, was a racist, and that today the largest marketer of abortion, Planned Parenthood, targets minority neighborhoods, but the statistics are staggering clear.

As Rev. Clenard Childress, Founder of BlackGenocide.org, points out, “The most dangerous place for an African American to be is in the womb of their African American mother.” Some will very likely take offense at that statement, but let’s take a look at just a few of the hard facts:
Centers for Disease Control
-Abortion kills more black Americans than seven leading causes of death combined.
-While 56 percent of all women who obtained legal abortions were white, the abortion rate (the number of abortions per 1,000 women aged 15-44 per year) for black women was 2.9 times that of white women. For every thousand black women, 32 have abortions, as compared with 11 for every thousand white women.
Statistics from The Alan Guttmaucher Institute
-37 percent of all abortions are performed on black women. Non-Hispanic white women, who make up a much larger portion of the population, had 34 percent of the total number of abortions performed.

-For every two African American women that get pregnant one will choose to abort.
-A Black baby is 5 times more likely to be killed in the womb than a White Baby.

BlackGenocide.org
-Between 1882 and 1968, 3,446 Blacks were lynched in the U.S. That number is surpassed in less than 3 days by abortion.
-1,784 African-American children are killed each day by the heinous act of abortion.
-Among women ages 15 to 19, the abortion rate was 11.0 per 1,000 among non-Hispanic white women; and 44.3 per 1,000 among non-Hispanic black women.
-3 out of 5 pregnant African-American women will abort their child.
-Since 1973 there has been over 13 million Black children killed and their precious mothers victimized by the U.S. abortion industry.
-With 1/3 of all abortions performed on Black women, the abortion industry has received over 4,000,000,000 (yes, billion) dollars from the Black community.

National Review Online reported, “Sadly, black women were also more likely to obtain riskier abortions late in their pregnancies, while white women were significantly more likely than black women to obtain abortions before 16 weeks.”

Fox News reported, “Since 1973, the year of Roe v. Wade, the share of abortions among black women has consistently been at least twice their share of live births.”

I had the priviledge of interviewing Rev. Childress on my radio show, and he pointed out that, “Seventy-eight percent of all Planned Parenthood’s clinics are located in minoritiy neighborhoods.”

I also had the priviledge of interviewing Dr. Alveda King, niece of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and the director of African American Outreach for Priests for Life, the country’s largest Catholic pro-life organization. She said her uncle was against infanticide and on the side of the unborn, pointing out that the column he wrote for Ebony Magazine prove that he was pro-life.

Dr. Alveda King pointed out that her uncle did receive an award from Margaret Sanger’s Planned Parenthood, but that it was a tactic they used to get ‘the church’ on their side, saying that PP was on the side of wanting to help African Americans. (You can hear her full statement online in our broadcast archives dated 1/17/11). In fact, Margaret Sanger, who was a known eugenist, also had a Negro project, directed at the ‘undesirables.’”

And Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who favors of Roe v. Wade, in July of 2009, stated boldly, “Frankly I had thought that at that time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of.”

The film, Maafa 21 Black Genocide in the 21st Century points out even more staggering facts. Slavery, one of the darkest moments in U.S. history, is unthinkable in America today, but as this film points out, blacks continue to be seen as ‘undesirables’ by the abortion industry.

Let’s face it, whether through slavery or abortion (not to mention discrimination for which Dr. King is remembered this month), African Americans have suffered greatly in our nation. Both the acts and attitudes are unthinkable, and I don’t care who endorses them, be they former slave owners, or a President of the United States, who supports Planned Parenthood, the unthinkable is never a solution. Not the stealing of life through slavery. Not the mistreatment of life through discrimination. Not the taking of life through abortion.

Do you love America?

I mean do you LOVE America?

If so, why?

Do you love America?

I mean do you LOVE America?

If so, why?

Is it because of the personal liberties you enjoy?
Is it because you live in the most free nation on the earth?
Is it because of its roots, its foundations?
Or is it because it is YOUR country?

Whether we live in America or some other country, we should
love the country that is ours — because it is ours
– because it is made up of the people who are our ‘national family’.

Certainly our Founding Fathers understood this. They understood that not living with the freedom of the ‘self-evident truth’ that the ‘certain unalianable rights’ given by ‘our Creator’ provide, was not the best. And so they set out to provide the best form of government they could for their fellow man, for their ‘national family.’

The 4th of July is the perfect time to re-recognize that each of us are called to be a part of America’s destiny — to work to make it the best nation it can be. Isn’t that what we do (or should do) for the company we work for, or own; for our family; for our personal lives?

And we need to not only re-recognize our individual roles of responsibility as American citizens, but to re-commit to the stewardship of caring for (loving) our nation. Sure, just like with our families, we see the flaws, but we also see the potential (or we should), and work for the best outcome.

Just as the immigrant who escaped from Bulgaria encourages us to do on our July 4th Special Weekend broadcast. He profoundly expresses, what immigrants who are grateful to live in America perhaps appreciate most, a perspective we all need to embrace — again.

So celebrate America this weekend with renewed dedication, and a gratitude that understands, as Erma Bombeck, one of America’s most popular humorists, once said,

“You have to love a nation that celebrates its independence every July 4th, not with a parade of guns, tanks, and soldiers who file by the White House in a show of strength and muscle, but with family picnics where kids throw frisbees, the potato salad gets ‘iffy,’ and the flies die from happiness. You may think you have overeaten , but it is partriotism.”

Happy Birthday! — Afterall, you are America.

I’ll never forget, as a young, brand new mom, burying my dad, a veteran of WWII and the Korean War. The gun-salute, the bugle playing, the folding of the flag that lay on his coffin, the young soldier handing that flag to me…and the tears.

I’ll never forget the letters from my husband Duane when he was in Viet Nam, telling me of some of his men who had been killed in battle…and crying for them, and with him.

I can’t go to a Memorial Day Service and not be inspired by the stories of valor and courage told…without crying tears of awe.

I can’t pass a military cemetery without the quiet pause that comes from remembering the realities of war and thinking about the sacrifice of so many to secure my freedom…without tears welling up in my eyes.

I am sure it is the same for you.

Today, Memorial Day, is the day a grateful nation remembers, pays tribute to…and, as someone said, “On thy grave the rain shall fall from the eyes of a grateful nation.”

While some may write tears off as emotionalism, most of us know that tears, real tears, come from a place deep inside as a response to something held, or lost, of great value.

As my mother-in-law use to say, “If you don’t feel strong enough about something to cry about it, you don’t feel strong enough about it.”

Some of my tears today are for those who don’t really understand what today is all about…who don’t stop to pay tribute…who have never shed a tear of gratefulness for the cost of the freedom secured for them. But I thank God for those who do understand…

“Greater love has no man than this, that he lay down his life for another.” -John 15:13

Ronald Reagan warned: “One of the traditional methods of imposing statism or socialism on a people has been by way of medicine. It’s very easy to disguise a medical program as a humanitarian project. Most people are a little reluctant to oppose anything that suggests medical care for people who possibly can’t afford it.”

ROLL CALL reports Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich.) just announced that pro-life Democrats have reached a deal with the White House and Democratic leaders and will now support a health care reform overhaul.

I’m pleased to announce we have an agreement,” Stupak said in a press conference, backed by other holdouts. The announcement came as the White House said President Barack Obama would issue an executive order ensuring no taxpayer funds are used to fund abortions.

“By Stupak’s own estimate, Democrats are now “well past” the 216 votes they need for passage. The agreement also brings aboard Democratic Reps. Kathy Dahlkemper (Pa.), Steve Driehaus (Ohio), Alan Mollohan (W.Va.) and Nick Rahall (W.Va.).

Obama sign an executive order to cut funding for abortions? ah, we’ll see. Besides, EOs Can be Rescinded Tomorrow or overturned either by another EO or by legislation or by the next president.

SBA (Susan B. Anthony) explains:

1. An executive order can be rescinded any time. President Obama could reverse it next week, next month, or next year. Should another pro-abortion president be elected in the future, it could be rescinded on inauguration day.

    2. An executive order will not prevent insurance companies that provide abortion from participating in the exchanges.

    3. Abortion funding in the health care legislation can be only be removed using the legislative process. An executive order not only doesn’t fix the problem, it isn’t needed to fix the problem, and could not stand a legal challenge. If Democrats are serious about protecting taxpayers from funding abortion in the health care bill, they must use the legislative process to fix the problem.

Stupak earlier said the health fight has been a “living hell” – so why did he cave?

Lemmings. that’s all I can say. lemmings. They may go over the edge, but everyone doesn’t have to follow. Thank God there are Govenors, like Donald Carcieri of Rhode Island, and state Attorney Generals poised to take action the minute the bill is put into law.

2010 & 2012 will be more history in the making.

Can I ask you a question? Did anyone really think that President Obama’s “Bipartisan Health Care Summit” would be a game changer? While pundits of the old media and new logged in their opinions and analysis of the purpose and outcome of the summit, the only real thing that I think was beneficial in this staged event, was to observe the testy exchanges between some members of Congress and the President. It helped to further define the line that divides on this issue.

While few Americans actually watched the 7 hour televised summit, the support of the White House and Congressional health care proposals continues to diminish. Now 56% of Americans oppose Obama’s proposal.

And for the record, according to Rasmussen, the President’s approval rating has dropped from 65% on January 21, 2009, Inauguration Day, to 46% on March 4, 2010. The percentage of those who strongly disapprove has increased from 16% to 41% for the same period. And the health care summit did virtually zero to change these numbers.

And yet as the Wall Street Journal points out, Congress and the President is planning on moving forward with their bills, even using the ‘reconciliation’ process to have their way. Here’s the plan, “House Democrats would pass a series of ‘fixes’ to the Senate bill. The Senate would then pass the House reconciliation bill, sending amendments to President Obama to a bill… The House would then retroactively pass the Senate bill as is. So by using the “reconciliation” process, the Senate will only need 51 votes to pass their socialized healthcare bill.”

But let’s not get too distracted over the ‘reconciliation’ tactic because as Phil Kerpen, President for policy at Americans for Prosperity, points out, “…as outrageous as reconciliation is, ultimately it’s a distraction, and free-market activists who focus on it may miss the real fight in the U.S. House of Representatives. Ultimately, it doesn’t matter whether or not the Senate passes changes to its health care bill via reconciliation. That’s because the reconciliation process cannot even begin until after the House passes the Senate bill exactly as it passed the Senate on Christmas Eve. That means it must pass with the abortion language already rejected by Rep. Bart Stupak and others still intact. It also must pass with the outrageous pork barrel spending deals cut for Nebraska, Louisiana, Connecticut, and others.”

So, my point about the most beneficial thing to come out of the president’s health care summit being the testy exchanges between those in Congress who are against the White House and Senate proposals and the President still stands. Why? Because it ‘showed’ where the dividing line clearly is on this issue between them, who is watching out for the American people, such as Rep. Paul Ryan, who told the President, “The difference in our approaches is clear. We don’t think all the answers lie in Washington,” and the preverbal ‘Freudian attitude slips’.

One such testy exchange or ‘slips’ if you will, was between the President and John McCain, when McCain pointed out promises they both had made during the election, to which Obama said, “We’re not campaigning anymore. The election’s over.” To which McCain said, “I’m reminded of that every day.”

Another testy exchange was shortly after the above remarks to Senator McCain, when the President voiced his annoyance at Rep. Eric Cantor for having the 2,400 page health care bill with him displayed on the table. “Let me just guess — that that’s the 2,400-page health care bill. Is that right? These are the kind of political things we do that prevent us from actually having a conversation.”

And another testy ‘slip’ that has gotten a lot of play in the media was when Rep. Leader Mitch McConnell, complained that there wasn’t a balance of time given to both sides, to which the President, who clearly was annoyed said, “You’re right, there was an imbalance on the opening statements… because I’m the President.”

There were more, which I talked about on my radio show this week, but I’ll leave it at this for now.

Bottom line? The White House “Bipartisan Health Care Summit” was not a game changer. Even though the President has since said he would incorporate a few things from the GOP side, as Charles Babington reported that, “In a bit of political sleight of hand, Obama said he might include four GOP-sponsored ideas in his plan, even though virtually no one in Congress or the White House thinks it will procure a single Republican vote. The move is aimed instead at wavering Democrats, especially in the House. Some of them might find it easier to vote for the health care package if they can tell constituents it had bipartisan elements that Republicans should have supported. Yet there is no guarantee that Democratic leaders will incorporate Obama’s suggestions in revised legislation.”

How much have you heard from the mainstream media about the hypocrisy that took place at the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen this December, such as leaving thousands of NGO delegates out in the cold because, while they accredited 45,000 delegates, they only had room for 15,000; or how plutocrats from around the world came to the conference in 1200 gas-guzzling, emission-secreting limos and 140 private planes, even after the Climategate scandal broke ‘inconveniently’ just before the conference? Not much if any. But should we be surprised?

No. Remember a few year’s ago at the COP-10 conference in Bali? Here’s what I wrote about then:

Noel Sheppard at NewsBusters reported on the dilemma the large number of private charter airplanes going to the UN Conference on Climate Change on December 3-15 is causing for the small Bali airport:

“As climate alarmists from all over the world head to Bali to talk about the sacrifices regular folks have to make to save the planet from global warming, it seems certain media will ignore all the private jets clogging the tiny airport. As if it’s not enough that the United Nations Climate Change Conference is being held at what NewsBusters reported as “a truly beautiful tropical island paradise,” the management of the nearby airport has issued a warning to attendees that they are going to have to park their private jets somewhere else. I kid you not. Talk about your really inconvenient truths.”

Bali Discovery Tours reported on November 3rd:

Tempo Interaktif reports that Angkasa Pura – the management of Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport are concerned that the large number of additional private charter flights expected in Bali during the UN Conference on Climate Change (UNFCCC) December 3-15, 2007, will exceed the carrying capacity of apron areas. To meet the added demand for aircraft storage officials are allocating “parking space” at other airports in Indonesia. The operational manager for Bali’s Airport, Azjar Effendi, says his 3 parking areas can only accommodate 15 planes, which means that some of the jets used by VIP delegations will only be allowed to disembark and embark their planes in Bali with parking provided at airports in Surabaya, Lombok, Jakarta and Makassar.

Say Anything Blog added:

“Obviously the only way to really get the feel for global warming is to sit in the sun drinking rum drinks so I can see why the UN had to fly everyone to Bali. As Glenn Reynolds said, “I’ll believe it’s a crisis when the people who tell me it’s a crisis start acting like it’s a crisis.” Exactly, if this were a crisis they could find a more central location (like North Dakota), fly in on commercial planes or actually hold regional meetings and teleconference to give it worldwide scope. But this global warming thing is the UN jumping in on the bandwagon to create a profit for their leadership. I just wish that the US news organizations would quit treating the UN like they are the final arbiters of what’s right. They’re a good gauge of that, but only if you assume they’re saying the wrong thing.

So, what did the mainstream media fail to ‘adequately’ cover this time?
#1 Climategate – To start off with, the biggest science-scam in all history leading up to the UN conference. Climategate exposed that global warming scientists have been ‘cooking the books’ — in other words, falsifying data to ‘prove’ there is man-made global warming. The media and scientists scrambled to downplay or spin this news ever since the information was leaked from emails between fellow scientists caught falsifying research data. Ahhh, now we get it — global-warming enthusiasts such as Al Gore don’t practice what they preach because their claims are not true! (Can you see my tongue in my cheek?)

#2 As The Heritage Foundation reports: “Despite the fact that the entire (COP-15) conference is founded on the belief that human economic activity, especially flying and driving, is emitting levels of greenhouse gasses that will soon kill us all, plutocrats from around the world have marshaled over 1,200 limos and 140 private planes to travel to and around Copenhagen over the next two weeks.”

And according to the U.N.’s own data, between 2000 and 2006, the 27 European signatories of the Kyoto Treaty requiring them to decrease greenhouse emissions, actually increased their emissions by 0.1%. Canada saw a 21.3% emissions rise! Meanwhile, the (big-bad) U.S., which was not bound by the treaty since the U.S. Senate voted 95-0 against the treaty, actually reduced our emissions by 3% over the same time period! Oh, and just for the record, President Obama in his speech to the COP-15 conference said “…you wouldn’t be here if you did not believe, like me, that this danger is real…this is not fiction, it is science. Unchecked climate change will pose unacceptable risks to our security, our economies and our planet. That’s why I come here today, not to talk, but to act. Now, as the world’s largest economy, America bears our responsibility to address climate change…and we intend to meet that responsibility…America is going to continue on this course of action no matter what happens in Copenhagen. America has made our choice. We have charted our course, we have made our commitments, and we will do what we say…we have no time to waste.” By the way, Richard Black reporting for the BBC claims there was nothing new in Obama’s speech. Evidently, parts of it were virtually word for word of a speech given by President Dmitry Medvedev. So, what is “America’s course of action”‘ Pres. Obama speaks of? One key to understanding it is how Pres. Obama’s Science Czar, John Holdren, who is linked to Climategate, says “redistribution” should work. (We talked about all this on my radio show which you can listen to online now here: http://www.oneplace.com/ministries/Changing_Worldviews/archives.asp?bcd=12/7/2009.) The dots are connected, but is the mainstream media reporting about the full, or real picture? No. But again, who is surprised? © Sharon Hughes 2009

While the White House claims an urgency to pass healthcare reform, and while Christina Romer, chairwoman of the White House Council of Economic Advisers, tries to convince the American people that the $787 billion stimulus plan is working by siting things such as the $25 a week increase in unemployment checks the now 9.4% unemployed in our country are getting, the facts prove otherwise.

Holding something like this up as proof that the stimulus plan is working is, to put it mildly, unbelievable. Especially when you look at just how much of the ‘stimulus’ is actually ‘stimulating’ the economy, and how much (almost half of the $787 billion) is going for ‘appropriations’, aka pork, as seen in the chart put together by Senator Ben Nelson. (See chart here.) And, by the way, please note that Congress included in the ‘stimulus’ package an increase of $20 million for its own budget to cover the salaries and expenses of ‘temporary staff’. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist or economic wonk to see that this kind of ‘Congressional oversight’ is a foreshadow of what can be expected in the oversight of the proposed government-run healthcare system. But I digress.

What has really happened to our economy? Why did it plummet just before the 2008 election? What other forces were at play besides the initially sited culprits, Fannie and Freddie? Many Americans are still asking these questions.

Let me ask you a question: How much do you know about the Federal Reserve, the all-powerful, privately owned, non-federal government-run, national bank that wields tremendous economic power over our nation? We talked about this on our show recently, including a segment of an interview I did with Paul Walter, about the book his publishing company reprinted, The Coming Battle, written in 1899 outlining how the banking money power gained control of America. (Hear that interview online here.)

Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution states that Congress shall have the power to coin (create) money and regulate the value thereof.

In 1935 the Supreme Court ruled that Congress cannot delegate its power to another group.

But things have changed. Today it is the Federal Reserve that controls and regulates the U.S. dollar.

Interestingly, Congress refused to audit the Federal Reserve after bills co-sponsored by Rep. Ron Paul and more than half of the House (Federal Reserve Transparency Act, HR 1207), and in the Senate (S 604) co-sponsored by Sens. Jim DeMint, Mike Crapo and David Vitter, were stopped before even being introduced on the floor on “procedural grounds.” Why would they do that?

Writing in his recent article, “A Force of One: the Federal Reserve,” Chuck Norris makes the claim that the FED is a secret society, “I agree with Judge Andrew Napolitano, who said last week, ‘We know more about the CIA than we do about the Federal Reserve.’ The Federal Reserve is the Freemasonry of government agencies. It is a virtual secret society unto themselves – a group of unelected brokers who hold the value of our dollar in the palms of their hands. This one agency, with its power to raise and lower interest rates, has exercised more control over the economy than any other government body.”

Norris continues, “Could it really be a mere coincidence that the bill to audit the Federal Reserve was refused from even being introduced and that this agency remains the “quick convenience store-house of money” for the Obama administration’s borrowing and bailout monies? Again, as Judge Napolitano said, “The Obama administration not only doesn’t want the Federal Reserve audited, it now wants to put the power to regulate all banks, insurance companies, brokerage houses – into the hands of this super secret bank. What are they afraid we might see if we get a chance to look at their books?” (Read his article here.)

So, how did the Federal Reserve become the money manager of the United States?

The Federal Reserve came into being with the stroke of the pen of President Woodrow Wilson, establishing a centralized banking system, that “balanced the competing interests of private banks and populist sentiment.” (sound familiar?) He appointed seven members of the Board with twelve regional banks, which are located in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Richmond, Atlanta, Chicago, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Kansas City, Dallas and San Francisco.

Today’s current (five) board members of the Federal Reserve are Ben S. Bernanke, Chairman, Donald L. Kohn, Vice Chairman, Kevin M. Warsh, Elizabeth A. Duke and Daniel K. Tarullo.

Henry Ford once said, ‘It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning.’”

Did Ford know something we don’t?

Mayer Amschel Bauer Rothschild said, “Give me control of a nation’s money and I care not who makes it’s laws.” He also said, “It (the Central Bank ) gives the National Bank almost complete control of national finance. The few who understand the system will either be so interested in its profits, or so dependent on its favours, that there will be no opposition from that class… The great body of the people, mentally incapable of comprehending, will bear its burden without complaint, and perhaps without even suspecting that the system is inimical (contrary) to their interests.”

John D. Rockefeller wrote in his book Memoirs, “For more than a century, ideological extremists at either end of the political spectrum have seized upon well-publicized incidents, such as my encounter with Castro, to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions. Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as ‘internationalists’ and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure – one world, if you will. If that is the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it.”

But, this information doesn’t answer Chuck Norris’ claim that the Federal Reserve is a secret society.

Perhaps a speech given by John F. Kennedy to the American Newspaper Publishers Association sheds some light? In it he talks to the press about secret societies:
“The very word “secrecy” is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings. We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers which are cited to justify it.” (Hear speech here.)

John F. Kennedy wanted to abolish the Federal Reserve. On November 22, 1963 he was assassinated as his motorcade took an unscheduled route in Dallas.

More than give detailed information about the Federal Reserve I wanted to provoke questions that would cause you to research for yourself. For in so doing you will learn more than any one article can tell.

Is the FED a secret society? You tell me.

A few years ago I wrote about Al Gore’s criticism of George W. Bush’s faith. I found it so fascinating then that a former Vice President of the United States would condemn a current President’s religious belief.

I find it almost as fascinating today that the still very vocal VP hasn’t remarked on the current President’s religion at all. It’s not as if there hasn’t been anything to remark on regarding Barack Obama’s religious views.

What are we to make of this? Or should we make anything of it at all?

Here’s what I wrote about Gore and Bush’s faith:

I remember years ago seeing Al Gore on television promoting his book, Earth in the Balance – Ecology and the Human Spirit, and Tipper talking about her concern of the effects rock and roll music was having on teenagers. Back then, before he was Vice President, they talked about themselves as being born again Southern Baptist Christians. However, after reading Al Gore’s comments in the New Yorker magazine about George W. Bush’s faith, it appears things have changed.

As reported by David Remnick in the article, “And yet the Bush ideology is tinged with religious belief, I said. Not everything comes with a price tag attached. Gore’s mouth tightened…he clearly had disdain for Bush’s public kind of faith. ‘It’s a particular kind of religiosity,’ he said. ‘It’s the American version of the same fundamentalist impulse that we see in Saudi Arabia, in Kashmir…’” Read more of Remnick’s article.

Wow.

Remnick goes on to report, “We passed the Southern Baptist Convention building… I asked him which church in Nashville he and Tipper attended now. There was a pause in the front seat. ‘We’re ecumenical now,’ Gore said, finally. Tipper said with a laugh, ‘I think I follow Baba Ram Dass.’ ‘The influx of fundamentalist preachers have pretty much chased us out with their right-wing politics,’ Gore added.”

But, I wonder if it was the right-wing politics, or his own politics. In his book, Earth in the Balance – Ecology and the Human Spirit, again written when he claimed the Christian faith, he wrote this: “Our religious heritage is based on a single earth goddess (Mother Gaia) who is assumed to be the fountain of all life…All men have a god within. Each man has a god within because creation is god. Nature in its fullness is god.”

Seems to me that Obama’s recent public remarks regarding religion (e.g. comments in Turkey, “We do not consider ourselves a Christian nation”), would fit Gore’s religious worldview and warrant his applause. But I didn’t hear anything, did you?

Then again, perhaps he has commented on Obama’s faith and the media just didn’t report it. If that’s the case, why would that be? I mean, it’s not like the mainstream media doesn’t report ‘positive’ remarks about presidents and religion. After all they reported Chris Matthews’ comments, “I’ve been following politics since I was about 5. I’ve never seen anything like this. This is bigger than Kennedy. [Obama] comes along, and he seems to have the answers. This is the New Testament…”

Can you see my tongue in my cheek?
