When In Doubt Cry "Hitler!"

By J.J. Jackson

Books of Interest

It seems to be a law without exception when it comes to debating with “liberals” (aka Marxistsm, facists, and communists) that any time you have them backed into a corner one of two comparisons pops from their lips.  Either you are a “NAZI” or you are their leader “Hitler”.  And every now and again they go a step further and claim that you are worse than a NAZI or Hitler.

There was a time when this rhetoric never migrated much above internet chat rooms and message boards.  Now however this rhetoric seems engrained in the political leaders of the left wing as well and is often thrown out there by elected officials trying to connect with their base.  Who ever is presiding over the Senate when Senator KKK Byrd is speaking needs to remind him that he is out of order when he starts rambling and comparing the President to Hitler.  Free speech is great Mr. Byrd, but maybe you should take your medication before making a fool of yourself in public.  On second thought, keep forgetting to take your meds because you do nothing but help America by spouting such idiocy.

Aside from the obvious dissimilarities between President Bush and Hitler who was a fascist dictator that presided over the National Socialist Party of Germany, murdered millions of Jews because they were seen as rats, and attempted to enslave the world in a land grab for his master race the dissimilarities are so numerous that this kind of petty name calling by avout Marxists who have more in common with Hitler than anyone in the current administration, is pointless and down right childish.

And when Senator KKK Byrd goes even further and calls Republicans and conservatives even worse than Hitler, I’m sorry, but the line has to be drawn somewhere.  In response to the proposed Constitutional Option (which is now mistakenly referred to as the “nuclear” option) to end the temper tantrum of left wing has-beens blocking the role of the Senate for advice and consent, the rambling Senator proclaimed that even “Hilter never abandoned the cloak of legality.”

The implication is clear.  The implication is that President Bush and the Republican controlled Senate is worse than Hitler and the NAZIs because some out of touch and constitutionally misinformed Senators feel that conservatives in the party are now out right not just abandoning legality but also the cloak of legality.  Has the dishonorable Senator from West by-God Virginia no shame?  The answer is, of course not.  Would you expect anything less from a man that helped to filibuster the Civil Rights Act?  I sure wouldn’t.

The problem is that the true Hitlarians here are not the conservatives, it is the Marxists disguised as liberals.  It is these Marxists that are the ones that have not only abandoned legality but now also the “cloak of legality” by continuing to usurp the Constitution by requiring a super majority for the advice and consent role of the Senate.

Let’s explore shall we?

Article II Section II:

“[The President] shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments.”

Breaking it down (because I know that many people do not understand how punctuation works) this says:

[The President] shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur.

and

[The President] shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law.

Note that a super majority is not required for Judges of the supreme Court.  Note that it also says that the Senate WILL give advice and consent.  It does NOT say the Senate can ignore this duty by going through endless debate.

What is the real “nuclear” option is what the left wing has done by ignoring the role of the Senate and their jobs.  The “nuclear” option is the destruction of the Constitution and the rule of law that it sets forth.

So it is time for the “Constitutional” option.  And that is to force a vote and force the Senate to do its job that we pay them in U.S. greenbacks to do.  And if they want to continue to ignore constitutional law then it is time to take it a step further and charge them with such a high crime for there is no higher crime than the blatant disregard for the Constitution.  Then start impeachment proceedings against Senator KKK Byrd, Senator *Hick* Kennedy, and all the rest of Marxists that think they can do whatever they want just because they have the title “Senator” before their names.
