Dan Rather Consulting For The Terrorists? Jeff Jackson (02/03/05)

As pictures of a captured American soldier being threatened flashed across the screen the initial thought was for his safety.  Then a second look started the questions coming.  In the end it turned out to be a doll dressed in military fatigues and not a real soldier.  So the question is, has Dan Rather become a consultant for terrorists?  Because it took only slightly longer to notice this rouse than it did to disprove the fake memos Mr. Rather tried to pass off about George Bush’s National Guard service.

Well, if it is the case then at least Dan is getting a little better at hiding his deceptions and stories filled with nothing.  It only took 2 minutes to disprove the memos.  It took 2 minutes and 10 seconds to disprove the captured soldier farce.  At least it took a little more effort to find a doll and dress up a scene than it did to whip out a few fake memos on the computer.

But seriously, we don’t know whether Dan “Fake Memo” Rather has a new role as a consultant for the enemy or not.  But then again if he did now work for Muslim extremists, would it really be a new role?  Maybe just a promotion perhaps?  After all he did a lot to support the enemies of America by trying to lie to the American people.  He did a lot to support the enemies of this country by trying bring down the President over a fake scandal that had been dredged up on numerous prior occasions.

I guess maybe Dan Rather needed a change of scenery?  The crisp winter air in New York was probably too much for his sensitive skin so he had to get out in the hot, dry, middle eastern air.  Perhaps he just needed another lie to add to his resume so that he can get a cushy job over on Ted Turner’s CNN seeing as how Ted is bitter that FOX is trouncing him in the ratings.

Or perhaps this is just a farce perpetrated by some Dan Rather wanna-be that saw how easy 47% of the American public can be duped into believing anything just because they see it on the news.  And in a country were 47% of the population is enough to elect a President under the right circumstances can you blame the enemy for taking advantage of our weakness and the lessons taught by old Danny-boy?
