Wanted: One Republican With A SET!

By J. J. Jackson

April 11, 2005

Books of Interest

As a conservative, moderate Republicans frustrate the living Hell out of me.  I invest a lot of time talking about how Democrats as a party are destroying America and when need be, I am not above kicking a few Republicans in the shin either.  Today is one of those later times.

It’s gut check time for the Republican Party that has a habit of kowtowing to it’s more moderate membership when the going gets rough.  It’s the politically easy thing to do after all; play to the members that think a little bit of socialism and unconstitutionalness here and there is a good thing and hope that the conservative base doesn’t get pissed off enough to leave and vote for the Libertarian or Constitution Party in the next election.  And usually it is the case that even if they have to grit their teeth, the more conservative in the Party will still vote for the “moderate” or even liberal Republican over the liberal or even down right Marxist Democratic candidate.

The Republicans are under attack again by the out of the mainstream left wingers in the Democratic Party.  But then again that isn’t anything new.  Tom DeLay is under assault and being confronted with “serious charges” but nothing actionable and tangible.  Extreme left wing Democrats are shutting down the Senate and failing to perform their Constitutional duty of advise and consent on the President’s judicial nominees.  American Marxists are out there defending Social Security and stealing from one group to give to another.  Jim Jeffords is out there talking about how President Bush is getting ready to start a war with Iran for the sole purpose of getting his brother Jeb elected in 2008.  And on and on and on.

And as usual, Republicans begin to wilt or at the very best fail to act and respond in the proper manner.

Republicans are failing to meet fire with fire on Social Security and failing to combat the myth about it‘s “guarantee“ and how the stock market is good enough for rich liberals to invest in but not all you ignorant common folk that should never question their authority.  Republicans are dragging their feet for now going on 4 years concerning making the Senate uphold it’s Constitutionally assigned role on judges.  Republicans are also not very vocal in their defense of the character assassination of DeLay even though the story about his “corruption” is now being rehashed for at least the second time after failing to make it stick the first time.  Democrats are in the “big lie” mode; tell a lie often enough and big enough and eventually people will believe it.

Gut check guys; gut check.  Any elected member of the Republican Party have a set on them?  I hear the pundits talking tough but nothing from the elected officials.  Heck, even Hillary Rhodam-Clinton has a bigger set of balls than most Republicans and she‘s a woman!  We’re getting close to another “Here we go again” scenario with elected Republican officials because there are far too many socialist moderates in the party that aren’t left wing enough for the Democratic Party.

Wake up Republicans.  Or you will be a minority party once again.

Where is the party that stuck by it’s guns on Iraq and Afghanistan in the face of liberal screeching, character assassinations, and baseless accustaions?

Wake up Republicans or we will be stuck with the left wing Marxism of the modern Democratic Party ruling our lives.  We will be stuck with it because conservatives will stop voting for Republicans that are inconsistent at best and only talk a good fight until they are punched once in the nose.  And when conservatives abandon the party there will not be enough votes left to overcome the political opposition that seeks to drag America into the abyss of failed political and economic ideas.

Wanted: One set of brass balls.  Slightly used is OK!  Will pay TOP DOLLAR!
