Q. Which branch of government is granted the power to make law?
A. The Legislative Branch (i.e Congress)
USC Article. I., Section. 1.
“All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.”
How did you fare? In 1996 when I originally gave this test to 50 people (21 “Conservatives”, 13 “Moderates”,
15 “Liberals”) the following percentages answered correctly:
Total Respondants: 38% (19)
“Conservatives” 71% (15)
“Moderates” 15% (2)
“Liberals” 13% (2)
What were some of the wrong answers?
