Reverse Engineering the Law By Jeff Jackson 05/07/04
Books of Interest

Social engineers have taken a new turn in their pursuit of power.  Unable to convince enough people and their elected representatives over the years to pass laws and elect the persons that they want they have, along with the ACLU, turned once again to the courts to tilt the playing field in their favor.  The latest attacks by those that would seek to circumvent the will of the people is to attack laws that prohibit felons from voting in most states or the laws that severely limit the ability of these felons to vote.

The most recent incident can be read about here (article insert) which involves felons and the state of New Jersey.  Their argument is not that preventing felons from voting in unconstitutional.  No, they cannot even attempt that claim because it would easily be destroyed in all but the most liberal of courts.  They cannot use that argument because the Constitution clearly sets a standard of removing someone’s rights as a punishment for a crime under Amendment XIII which clearly states “Neither slavery or involuntary servitude, except as punishment for a crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.”  What they want is not the will of the people.  Nor is the will of the people even unconstitutional.  But what they are asking the courts to do anyway is to intervene outside of their appointed role anyway and overturn the laws and even the Constitution.

So what is their argument then?  Simply, that because many felons are black, Hispanic, or of other minority status that by correlation this violates the prohibition in the Constitution under Amendment XV that prohibits voting rights discrimination based upon race.

Only from the minds of progressive social engineers could such an argument spring forth.  Only from the minds of those that believe that they are more enlightened than the huddled masses could such a thought even be entertained.  Only from the minds of persons so desperate because of their failed attempts to impose their will upon the people of this Republic could the dream of a conspiracy so vast spring forth.

It is a conspiracy where evil men of European descent purposefully planted and then rediscover a legal loophole in the Constitution to keep minorities from voting.  Because you see, they knew that minorities would be the majority of felons.  They could read the minds of all future citizens to know this.  And the white man is so inherantly racist in their eyes that this only makes perfect sense.

Only could the minds of social engineers ignore the obvious and legal intent of the law which is to punish felons and twist it.

They continue to ignore the Constitution that gives the legal authority to restrict and even remove rights as punishment for a crime.  They continue to ignore that the laws themselves are color-blind and that they do not differentiate based upon race.  They continue to ignore that criminals make the choice themselves, independent of their skin color, to commit crimes.  The fact of the matter is that these laws punish people for being nothing other than criminals.  If the criminal happens to be of a certain skin color that is a moot point in the eyes of the law.

This kind of backdoor, reverse engineering of laws to attempt to create a problem that does not inherently exist is a dangerous precedent to set for our laws.  This is the side effect of groupism that is now so prevalent in our society.  When we divide Americans into groups and, even worse, claim that certain groups are “special” or need to be treated differently these are the effects we will continue to witness.  The fact that the majority of felons in the United States are members of an arbitrarily determined special group has no direct correlation to the fact that the laws punish only people that have been presumably given due process and designated as felons.  To stretch the perception of the law as a punishment of minorities is fallacious no matter how many criminals happen to belong to a certain group designated as “minorities”.

The result is independent of what “group” they belong to.

Allowing social engineers to sub-group Americas to fit their agendas will always lead to a perceived injustice because such people will deliberately sub-divide and then re-divide Americans until they create a crisis.  If such agendas are allowed to continue unchecked and become common place, the threat to this Republic is clear.  The threat is that eventually America will no longer be a Representative Republic controlled by the rule of law, but a bastardized Democracy where the majority will be allowed to inflict their will, as long as no arbitrary sub-group is perceived to be harmed.

This kind of “logic” cannot be allowed to gain root and grow.  It must be nipped in the bud and ground under foot until dead.  To do otherwise is to lay groundwork for the destruction of this Republic.  It is the groundwork to revoke any naturally color-blind law because persons of a certain skin tone choose to break that law in greater proportion to other persons.  It is time to stop putting people into separate groups because it makes it far too easy to segregate them and call out “exploitation”.  It is time to stop, because the exploitation of these arbitrary groups is not the concern of these social engineers.

What is the concern of the social engineers is their power because they ignore the Constitution while continuing to promote fallacies as to what is and is not the truth.  It has been cited that certain elections including the 2000 Presidential election would have potentially been changed had criminals, who have no regard for our laws, been allowed to vote.  We see from this, that once again, the ends justifies the means because “their guy” did not win in 2000.

We see that they are attempting to manipulate future political elections based upon historic trends of how convicted felons vote.  And while all convicted felons do not lean to the socialist left, many do.  Now, after the shouts of President Bush stealing the 2000 election are fading in all but the most radical of the left-wing circles we see another desperate tactic being played out that is even more dangerous than the debacle in Florida with swarms of lawyers and flying accusations that were later disproved and attempts to rewrite legislated election law from the judicial bench over turned.

The fact that minorities are the majority of felons and are being denied the right to vote has nothing to do with the rights of “minorities” protected under Amendment XV.  Laws that punish criminals make only one distinction between Americans.  And that is the distinction between the law-abiding and the lawless.

For years the social engineers have exploited minorities and the groupism mentality to further their own political desires for power.  They have pitted one group against another and then erected themselves as the great arbitrator.  And through their arbitrations they take from anyone that has more to give to those that do not have for whatever reason and continue to make excuses as to why those do not have.

The red flags wave.  The sirens of warning cry out.  But few take notice and even fewer dare to point out the problems.  This attempt at reverse engineering the law to make a problem out of legitimate laws designed to preserve the rights of law abiding freemen by punishing criminals only goes to prove this point.
