Supporting the enemy...

President Bush was in Pittsburgh today at a rally for Senator Snarlin' Arlen Specter. Meanwhile U.S. Congressman Pat Toomey was at the Holiday Inn in Greentree keeping up the fight again the most liberal Republican Senator.
While my wife and I were showing our support for Mr. Toomey, others were showing up at the rally for Senator Specter simply to see the President. People that do not like Mr. Specter but showed up anyway, sided with the enemy tonight. On the news it will not be mentioned how many conservatives showed up ONLY to see President Bush, simply that X number of people showed up to support Senator Specter.
My wife and I could have gone to see the President, however it was more important that we show our support for an actual conservative and pass up the chance to see the President. Why? Because principles matter.
And when Republicans and conservatives start realizing that, this country will be a much better place. To all of those that showed up in support of Senator Specter only to see President Bush, you should be ashamed. And I make no apologies for saying that either.
