WorldNet Daily is reporting that "The local Democratic Party" is supporting the use of the IRS (an agency of government) to interfere with religious freedom by investigating a pastor who gave a "pro-Bush sermon".

The statement, according the WND said the party "looks forward to the day when all citizens may vote their conscience without their political beliefs being dictated to them by politically involved religious leaders, regardless of denomination." and "American democracy is rooted in the principle of the separation of church and state,"

Once again, tell the lie long and loud enough and people will believe it seems to be the Democratic Party's main objective. Let's review the relevant passage of the Constitution shall we and try to inform these "Democrats" what it really says.

"USC Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof"

NOTE, the Constitution says that congress (aka the GOVERNMENT) is prohibited from establishing a religion or prohibiting the free exercise there of. It DOES NOT say that religion is prevented from interfering with government.

The "separation of church and state" argument is not a two way battle. It is a one way battle. It is a battle to keep government out of the church. That is it. It is not a battle to keep the church from speaking against the government.

But for Democrats and many liberals, the thought of the church teaching that there is a higher power than the government to whom you will answer is not good. It is not good at all. Because when that happens, they lose power.

So to these "Democrats" (socialists/marxists/communists who hijacked the Democratic Party) you may actually want to READ the Constitution and UNDERSTAND what it says before you make utter fools of yourselves and draw the wrath of religious people upon you. For you will do that if you continue to try and inhibit the free exercise of religion in this nation "Under God".
