In TIME's July 19th issue, they addressed the issue of "hair" and it's influence on the Presidency. The controversy brought on by John Kerry who claimed that they have "Better Hair" and then refuted by a poll conducted by Wahl Slipper Corp lead to an interesting (to say the least) chart of the Presidency.

For their summary of the 1980 election TIME said:
"Four years later, Carter's pale strands did him in."

Get real. What did Carter in was the fact that Mr. Peanut was an incompetent (at best) President who to this day still doesn't understand how to deal with evil.
