He claims that he is a hunter and that he will preserve the rights of hunters. However he also criticized President Bush for not supporting the "assault" weapons ban. It appears that John Kerry thinks that the second amendment has something to do with hunting so lets look at what the founding fathers said:

Gee Johnie boy, I don't see anything in there about "hunters". I DO however see that they gave us the Second Amendment to allow the people to protect themselves from YOU and other criminals.
