I'll be going out of town on business this week so as a parting shot until Friday I leave you with:The Angry American (Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue) by Toby Keith

American Girls and American Guys
We'll always stand up and salute
We'll always recognize
When we see Ole Glory Flying
There's a lot of men dead
So we can sleep in peace at night
When we lay down our head

My daddy served in the army
Where he lost his right eye
But he flew a flag out in our yard
Till the day that he died
He wanted my mother, my brother, my sister and me
To grow up and live happy
In the land of the free.

Now this nation that I love
Has fallen under attack
A mighty sucker punch came flying in
From somewhere in the back
Soon as we could see clearly
Through our big black eye
Man, we lit up your world
Like the 4th of July

Hey Uncle Sam
Put your name at the top of his list
And the Statue of Liberty
Started shaking her fist
And the eagle will fly
And there's gonna be hell
When you hear Mother Freedom
Start ringing her bell
And itll feel like the whole wide world is raining down on you
Ahhh Brought to you Courtesy of the Red White and Blue

Ohhh Justice will be served
And the battle will rage
This big dog will fight
When you rattle his cage
And you'll be sorry that you messed with
The U.S. of A.
'Cause we'll put a boot in your ass
It's the American way

Hey Uncle Sam
Put your name at the top of his list
And the Statue of Liberty
Started shaking her fist
And the eagle will fly
And there's gonna be hell
When you hear Mother Freedom
Start ringing her bell
And itll feel like the whole wide world is raining down on you
Brought to you Courtesy of the Red White and Blue

Uhhh Ohhh
Of the Red, White and Blue
Ohhh Ohh Oh
Of My Red, White and Blue

Remember

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 1:12 PM

This Memorial Day weekend we must all stop to remember those that served and those that sacrificed. This nation was not built with luck and pacifism. This nation was built by men and women with a drive and a vision and a sense of patriotism.

Some sacrificed their blood. Some sacrificed their treasure. But all that have come before us have sacrificed. And as long as we remember these men and women they, and this country lives on. When we forget them or how hard and how costly liberty is to maintain we will cease to be a nation of heroes and blessed by God the Father Almighty. When we turn and dishonor those that did for us so that we may live in a land of freedom this nation will fall.

On this Memorial Day weekend remember. Remember that Divine Providence shines down upon us but only because of those that sacrifice for this nation.

Laus Deo.

Al Gore at it again...

Wednesday, May 26, 2004

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 3:34 PM

Al Gore called out: "I am calling today for Republicans as well as Democrats to join me in asking for the immediate resignations of those immediately below George Bush and Dick Cheney"

Apparently Al Gore is confusing this administration with that of his buddy Slick Willy. Last time I looked there weren't any interns "immediately below" either of these two gentlemen.

But seriously, just when you thought that the left was winding down about Abu-Ghraib here comes another presidential pretender stirring up the pot again. He called for the resignations of Rumsfeld and Rice claiming that they are too stupid and incompetent to hold their positions.

Really Al? Didn't we already go through this? Remember Condi Rice blasting Mr. Clarke's theories that she was an incompetent boob out of the water with her testimony? Remember Rumsfeld standing up and taking responsibility even though the fault most likely rests with the general in charge of the security forces there?

He then went even further to shout about " “How dare they subject us to such dishonor and disgrace! How dare they drag the good name of the United States of America through the mud"

Gee Al, I don't think I heard you saying that during Clinton's 8 years of sexcapades and other scandals. I don't think I heard you complain when your boss was making it easy for a spy in the commerce department to send nuclear secrets to Red China. As a matter of fact I don't think I heard you talking much at all about dishonor at all.

But then again, Al Gore, you never really had a good teacher in Clinton or in your father who opposed tooth and nail the civil rights act of 1964 to learn about honor did you?

A followup to sarin in Iraq

Now that it has been confirmed I think we need to get the media to focus on this a little more. QUICK! Someone grab an Iraqi detainee and a sarin laced mortar round and RAM it up his ass!

That should do it.

Does Kerry REALLY Care About the Environment?

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 6:03 PM

I've already talked about Kerry's stupid SUV comments. But did you know that the Kerry Campaign has a new plane? I'll bet NOT! The environmentalist wannabe and presidential pretender's new transport (which burns A LOT of jet fuel BTW) has according to the Boston Globe "two conference tables, eight phone lines, a copy machine, a printer and a standup bar for socializing".

AH the man of the little people strikes again.

Where is the cries from the socialist environmentalists? Where I ask? WHERE?!?!?!? Could it be that it doesn't matter because he's there guy?

Kerry was the man that couldn't even keep a straight answer about SUVs for fear of seeming inconsistent on his "environmental" stances. This is much bigger than an SUV there Mr. Kerry. But then again I'm sure you'll just claim that it's "your family's plane". Right?

Well, it's OFFICIAL!

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 5:47 PM

The Associated Press today confirmed that the substance suspected to be sarin in a bomb casing from Iraq was indeed sarin. And while the origin of the shell is unknown it's use in Iraq is certainly suspect enough to suggest that indeed there are WMDs lurking in the desert waiting to be found.

Sarin is a deadly nerve agent that even in small quantities can prove fatal. It was also one of several types of weapons not fully accounted for by Saddam per the 1991 ceasefire agreement and subsequent UN resolutions.

I must say, this is certainly not good for the socialists on the left crying foul over being lead into Iraq under false pretenses. Of course WMDs were only one of several reasons, but that is the one that they have seized upon to decry conservatives over. Now what?

Now what is that we must be even more careful. Because now, not only does it appear that there are at least some WMDs still hidden in Iraq, but also that the terrorists know where they are and can get them. This is even more dangerous for our troops and for the Iraqi people.

One artillery shell of any number of WMDs can cause quite extensive damage. They are easily hidden, easily moved and easily used when the time is right.

The stakes just got a little bit higher. The days just got a little bit longer.

Watch your backs boys. We want as many of you home safe as we can. Don't let them take you by surprise.

Time For A REAL A War For Oil!

Let's get to it! INVADE CANADA!

In March 2004, Canada imported more crude to the United States than any other country at a rate of almost 1,600 thousand barrels per day.

Hands Off The Strategic Oil

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 10:52 PM

For leftists to claim that we need to start releasing some couple thousand barrels a day of oil from the Strategic Oil Reserves is not the answer to oil and gas prices. It makes good sound bites but does nothing to solve the problem.

The Strategic Oil Reserves contains enough oil to last, at our current rate of consumption, about 30 days. 30 days. That’s it.

Releasing a hundred thousand barrels a day into an economy that consumes more than 20 million barrels a day will do nothing. The SORs are emergency ONLY supplies. They aren’t some vast reservoir that will keep the United States chugging along for 10 years or so. 30 DAYS! ONLY 30 DAYS!

Imagine if you will a terrorist nuclear weapon exploded in an oil field in Iraq that contaminates and puts off limits part of the already stretched oil supply. Imagine if you will terrorist attacks that sink even a few tankers carrying oil from Iraq. Imagine ANYTHING that could possibly happen and that would affect our supply of foreign oil that might disrupt supply for a week or two or even a month.

Think about that before you start calling for the oil to be released. Then think about why you wont let us drill for oil on a tract of land in ANWAR equivalent to a postage stamp on a large manila envelope.

Still Think They Aren't "Evil"?

Sunday, May 23, 2004

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 2:56 PM

A new report by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), currently in the process of being confirmed has placed North Korea in cahoots with Libya. The report claims that North Korea provided Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi with enough uranium hexafluoride to produce a single bomb.

Still think that the "Axis of Evil" is real? Still think that they are "reasonable"?

Remember this is the IAEA who has made this report.

North Korea is the next biggest threat now that we have deposed the Taliban and are working on rebuilding Iraq. We need to stabilize both, while working to destabilize North Korea to the point where they have to give in. If we can't do that, then as soon as we are done in Iraq it is time to "shock and awe" North Korea into the stone age.

Come previous comments from Nancy Pelosi Socialist, err I mean Democrat from California:

"As a member of the House Intelligence Committee, I am keenly aware that the proliferation of chemical and biological weapons is an issue of grave importance to all nations. Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process." - Representative Nancy Pelosi CA (December 16, 1998)

"I believe in negotiated solutions to international conflict. This is, unfortunately, not going to be the case in this situation where Saddam Hussein has been a repeat offender, ignoring the international community's requirement that he come clean with his weapons program. While I support the President, I hope and pray that this conflict can be resolved quickly and that the international community can find a lasting solution through diplomatic means." - Representative Nancy Pelosi CA (December 16, 1998)

We just like to keep her current critical comments on President Bush and the War on Terror in perspective.

Another naive Liberal

WND today is running a story about the fake "rape" photos being used by international terrorists to call for jihad. The photos are from movies ,etc produced by Andrea Marchand who is actually quoted as saying:

"I heard about this and saw those articles in some newspapers and on the Internet and I really don't understand how people can use pictures that they don't have any rights to and without asking me,"

Andrea, one more time.

THEY ARE TERRORISTS!

THEY DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT YOUR RIGHTS!

THEY WILL LIE AT ANY TURN IF IT FURTHERS THEIR CAUSE!

La Voz de Aztlan and Jihad Unspun are both running with the picks. JU is even going so far as to claiming that "In fact, considering the controversy surrounding these photos, it is amazing that this 'legitimate' business has not come forward with details of the photos in question." Which of course is bull and I doubt that they have even tried to verify the pics. And Aztlan is budding terrorist movement here in the SW United States with illegal Mexican immigrants that believe the territory is rightfully theirs. They too will do anything to paint the US as an evil imperialist power because it furthers their cause and promotes their claim to the occupation of the SWUS.

Behold your fellow travelers. They'll stab you in the back anytime it suits their needs. When will people learn.

Ok, I know that this has probably been covered by many of the popular talk radio hosts, but seeing as how I have been up in no man's land today and not able to get a signal I am going to say it anyway.

Did you hear? We bombed another wedding. Yeah right. Reading further down you see however that recovered from the site were "numerous weapons, foreign passports, a SATCOM radio and 2 million Iraqi and Syrian dinars".

Often times all those things are present at a wedding. I know they sure were at mine...no really...ok I am joking.

Here's a better idea. They were terrorists. They were hiding out in the desert. We found them. They were shooting at our planes. We killed them.

I don't believe that Iraqis are THAT stupid to continue shooting guns into the air at weddings in a war zone. I'm sorry. I have more faith in them than that. I however do not have faith that the terrorists will actually be civilized and not try to make things look bad for America.

Hey Muhammed!

A Mass. Mariage

Tuesday, May 18, 2004

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 11:16 PM

Well, it's legal, sort of.

The courts have ruled and made law and now homosexual couples stream to the institution of marriage that by definition doesn't accept them. Even as the legislature scrambles to undo the legislation by the judicial system however the damage is done. Marriage is no longer marriage.

It is now a bastardization of it's former self, redefined to be between two people instead of between a man and a woman. It has lost it's meaning. But then again, that is exactly what the socialist left wants. They don't want things defined by God. They want things defined by man and to place man in a position superior to God.

They've taken the first step in destroying that which is sacred to many.

But they don't care because that is their goal.

For those of us that still believe in God however the battle is not over. The battle is not over, but irreparable damage has been done. Only our faith in God will protect us from this point on.

Even MORE Communist Perspective

Monday, May 17, 2004

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 7:27 PM

This time from China who threatened Taiwan by saying they risked meeting "their own destruction by playing with fire" and failing to rejoin the mainland.

China, doesn't know how to deal with Taiwan, like most communists don't know how to deal with people that don't automatically accept their word as law. So what do they do? They threaten them.

Yeah, that's a REAL good way to get people to see things your way.

Taiwan is a thorn in Red China's side because they refuse to accept their rule and because China has a budding pro-democracy movement on its hands. Communists can't have that.

There are countries that are much larger threats to China than Taiwan. The United States for one. But communists learned their lessons after the Soviet Union fell. The saw how the Soviet war machine was always able to win against strategically weaker foes and gobbling up countries to become the "eastern block". But when they faced down a big dog with teeth things fell apart.

Hey, communists are finally starting to learn from history! A marvelous first step. So what do they do with this new found knowledge? They pick on the little guy sitting on their doorstep who happens to be a democracy.

News Flash there Red China. Attack Taiwan, and the USS Kittyhawk will be on your ass like flies on poop.

The Communist Perspective

Sunday, May 16, 2004

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 3:19 PM

The Washington Times ran a story yesterday concerning Fidel Castro and protests he lead against the 44-year embargo by the United States of his island nation.

Some interesting points of note:
"Castro launched the demonstration with denunciations and ridicule of Bush, saying he was fraudulently elected and trying to impose "world tyranny.""

I find it laughable that a communist dictator would ridicule the U.S. for having a fraudulently elected President don't you? But like the socialist left here in the States, Castro ignored the fact that recount after recount showed that President Bush did in fact win Florida. But then again when did the truth ever matter to a communist?

"Scores of printed posters - apparently distributed by the march's organizers - bore swastikas and portrayed Bush in a Nazi uniform with a mustache similar to Hitler's."

Ditto above remarks. Last time I looked, President Bush wasn't sending scores of people in trains to the gas chambers. Oh, but that's right, he killed some of Castro's fellow commie brethren so that makes him Hitler.

""This country could be exterminated ... erased from the face of the earth," Castro told the crowd. But he said it would never fall into "the humiliating condition of a neo-colony of the United States.""

No, you'd rather be in the humiliating position of an island surrounded by fish that can't even feed it's own people because *hint* communism doesn't work. If it did, you'd be a superpower, but as it stands you are only a superficial blemish on humanity.

Come on Castro, show us your power. Oh that's right, you don't have any.

Three Questions...

Saturday, May 15, 2004

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 10:16 PM

Jeff Blanco at Louisiana Conservative has a post up asking 3 questions and he asked me to respond so I did.

Question #1. "Considering the Nick Berg cruel and malicious slaughter, what should we do concerning Iraq?"

What should we do? We should do what we are doing, but (in the words of Emril) “Kick it up a notch!” We’ve been too light handed considering this is a war. We pussy footed around in Falujah and other places. It appears at times that the administration of President Bush is more interested in a political and public relations balancing act than fighting a war. Long story short, this is the same thing that turned Vietnam into a quagmire.

I don’t think we need to be cruel and I am not even remotely suggesting that we start being careless. What I am saying, and have been saying, is that the rules of war are set by the aggressor. If they want to shoot at us from a mosque, drop a daisy cutter on it and we’ll build them a new one later. But only if they stop shooting at us.

If you aren’t willing to kill an enemy that is willing to die for their God, you will lose.

From talking with soldiers in Iraq and other people as well I believe that 75% of the country is with us. But that is not a reason go lightly on the other 25%. I also have come to believe that most of the 75% that are with us are not really sure what to do and this leads to many more problems as well.

Question #2 "Should American soldiers be given more liberty for their self defense?"

I honestly can’t say that I know what kinds of liberty they currently have. Having said that, the policy should be that if someone attacks our boys and girls we need to adopt the James West approach “Shoot first, shoot again, shoot some more, and then when everyone's dead, try and ask a question or two.”

It might be a little over the top, I agree. However this is war. War is not pretty. War is not neat. To win you have to kill your enemy or at least enough of them that the rest decide it aint worth it!

You want to see Iraqis policing their own fast and furious? You let them know that if you are a woman and you let Mohammed stand behind you and fire at our troops we will drop you first and him second. Nothing gets a person to change their tune quicker than self-preservation.

Question #3 "Do you think that either presidential candidate is serious in the effort against terrorism?"

I think that President Bush is serious and passionate about it. I also however think that he is a politician. The two rarely mix well. President Bush has some serious flaws on other issues, but I do believe that he is firmly committed to the “War on Terror” even when he does allow politics to sidetrack him.

My fear is that he will out think himself or “over coach” the situation. And not just him, but the entire chain of command as well. Every time something bad happens it is normal to react to it. But sometimes you overreact and don’t do what it best because you are afraid of making another mistake. You get conservative.

I think President Bush and the command structure has done this. It seems that they are trying to coast to the June 30th deadline and then breathe a sigh of relief once that is accomplished. In my opinion it is distracting them and they aren’t getting out there and doing what needs to be done.

Al Sadr is the prime example of this. In my opinion there is no reason why this man is still breathing.

Do the job, screw the politics. In the words of Commander Riker/Zephram Cochrane "Don't try to be a great man ... just be a man. Let history make its own judgments."

When Black and White No Longer Exist

Friday, May 14, 2004

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 9:09 PM

An interesting article that I had put together quickly back in 1996 and recently reposted on my main website When NO Means Maybe is a prime example of what happens to our "rights" when you start to believe the liberal lies about "Congress shall make NO law" no being an absolute.

If you think that no can mean maybe do you really want to live in a word where the first amendment by your logic then basically reads:

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion unless we deem it so necessary, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof unless we deem it so necessary; or abridging the freedom of speech unless we deem it so necessary, or of the press unless we deem it so necessary; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble unless we deem it so necessary, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances unless we deem it so necessary.”

Now I'm ready...

Thursday, May 13, 2004

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 2:18 PM

I've been being quiet as I consumed the events that lead to the brutal death of Nick Berg in Iraq at the hands of terrorist thugs. I saw a news report this morning that had his father putting a sign out in the yard claiming to the effect "War is not the Answer" and possibly even blaming President Bush. So I know where he is coming from while dishonoring the memory of his son.

But my message today is more important than that. My message is to Senator Edward Kennedy and others on the left whom just don't get it. Michael Savage has some of the images up on his website. I want you all to look. I want you to see what happens when people like Senator Ted Kennedy give aid and comfort to the enemies of America from the floor of the Senate while vying for political advantages.

Look and see what degrading the U.S. because of what a few soldiers did causes. Look at what calling the U.S. prisons no better than Saddam's torture chambers has caused. And make no mistake, Senator Kennedy, you are responsible.

Our enemies watching you on the floor bloviating about whatever topic you so choose and slamming the United States draw strength from your words. They grow bolder and more brazen. And because of this our men and women in uniform, and those there voluntarily like Nick Berg are put at elevated risk because you care more about political advantage than the truth.

The same thing goes for all the rest of the liberal left in this country.

They learned that they could destroy a country's resolve during Vietnam and they will try and do it again. They learned that pacifying Americans and convincing them not to fight and pretending that America is the biggest imperialist nation on this plant could win them political power.

No more Kennedy. No more.

I've had it with you. Look at the pictures and see what your actions cause.

Traitor.

When Leftists Whine (Part3)

Monday, May 10, 2004

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 6:22 PM

When Senator Joe Biden called for the “Lord God Almighty himself” to be held accountable for the actions of a few misguided souls in our military that actually committed acts of violence against prisoners while stationed in Iraq he opened up another window into the soul of a socialist. Like I said in When Leftists Whine (Part 2), Mr. Biden, like many others, believes that God is responsible for the evil of this world. He would love to hold God responsible. But like I also said, God doesn’t answer to Mr. Biden.

I do agree that God allows evil to happen. God is all-powerful. He could stop all the evil in the world if He wanted to. But He doesn’t. He doesn’t simply because without evil, there is nothing to cause human beings to better our selves and it is with the free will God has given us that we commit such acts.

So in a sense, yes, God is responsible. God tests us.

Is that a bad thing? In the scheme of the individual that is effected it may seem so. Evil hurts when it lashes out and strikes you personally. However in the scheme of the universe the existence of evil is in fact very, very good. It is good, because like I just mentioned it allows humans to better themselves. All but the most insanely evil react with disgust and rally around the cause of good when evil threaten to eliminate them. And in that sense, evil is in fact a good thing.

When Leftists whine (part 2)...

Sunday, May 09, 2004

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 10:40 AM

It had escaped my attention until I read this article by World Net Daily that Senator Joe Biden, a socialist (calling himself a Democrat) from Delaware had actually said that all people responsible should be brought to answer for the mistreating of Iraqi POWs but went even further to call for that to include "Lord God Almighty himself. It includes anybody involved.".

The Godless Left is falling apart friends.

Does Senator Biden actually think that God answers to him or the United States Congress? Of course the leftists believe that. But here is news for you Joe, He doesn't answer to you. He is not accountable to you. It is YOU that are accountable to Him.

The saying is "God bless America", not "America bless God" or even "Senator Biden bless God". God is superior to Comrade Biden, the Consress and America. For Senator Biden to even insinuate that God himself should be held accountable for the actions of men and women whom He has given free will is the utmost act of conceit and blasphemy.

But once again, Senator Biden, I didn't hear you calling for former President Clinton's head on a platter when military personnel under his command were court marshaled. No, of course you didn't. You didn't because you are a partisan so far to the left, that such matters of at least being just in you criticism are the last thing on your mind.

Remember the socialist left and their cries about the Second Iraq War being about oil? Well, gas just hit $1.89 here which is up about $0.40 since November 2003. So that means either 1) Bush is incompetent and can't even wage war correctly or 2) IT WASN'T about the stinkin' oil!

I'll go with number 2. Although the left is going to have to start explaining how in a "War for oil" gas prices continue to climb and will probably divert their belief into theory number 1. They already think President Bush is the biggest nimrod to ever grace the oval office with his presence so that wouldn't be a HUGE leap for their train of thought.

Due to the actions of about 0.05% of our men and women in Iraq, Congressional Socialists are ratcheting up their calls for Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld to resign citing, I suppose, the "buck stops here" mentality that they hold Conservatives to but don't agree in abiding to themselves.

Rumsfeld resign? Over the actions of 0.05% of our troops. How utterly repulsive to suggest. If all it takes is 0.05% to constitute the resignation of a supervisor that most likely had no control over the situation then when will the leadership of the Senate Democrats resign over the racist dealings of Senator Robert KKK Byrd?

Byrd is one of 48 Senatorial Democrats who has never really renounced his affiliation with the Klan. He is also 2% of their numbers in the Senate. Therefore if the deplorable actions of 0.05% is enough to call for Rumsfeld's head, 2% is more than enough to call for the resignation of ALL Senatorial Democrat leaders.

But of course they wont do that because this, like so much from the left side of the isle is not about anything other than pure partisan, get President Bush at all costs politics. With their John Kerry slipping in the polls day after day and not being able to avoid foot in mouth disease the Senators are attempting ANYTHING they can think of to distract attention from a man that doesn't know what to say.

Coming from those that feigned support for this country post 9/11 to not appear too anti-American though this is nothing new. They have been against this war from the moment the twin towers fell and they knew President Bush would actually act unlike in 1993 when former President Clinton couldn't be bothered. But once again their true colors are showing through.

Anything to get power back. Win at all costs. Even if it means trashing America,

Now they speak up...

With about a dozen or so American GIs now accused of mistreating Iraqi prisoners, the radical left finally speaks up about how bad it is to abuse prisoners. Not only that but they are further painting the U.S. and the military as evil with a capital E for the acts of these few.

First, a little perspective. Liberally I am going to say that there are 50 U.S. service men and women under investigation. Conservatively I am going to say that there are only 100,000 soldiers in Iraq. Now that I have underestimated the later and overestimated the former and purposefully made the situation worse than currently reported we see that this amounts to 0.05% of the U.S. Military committing these "crimes".

0.05%? What the HELL!?!?!?! The U.S. military, our President and our country are being crucified for the actions of 0.05% by the same people that never once spoke a peep about how many thousands dead at the hands of Saddam Hussein? And we aren't talking about even deaths here except in one instance who's events are unclear. We are talking about naked men, be humiliated and forced to play leap frog or build pyramids. We are talking about some humiliation. We are not talking about plastic shredders and acid baths.

Remember who used the plastic shredders and the acid baths? Sure you do. But these same people that are now out to get America at "all costs" didn't give a rip about the humanitarian disaster in Iraq under Saddam.

But now they care that some Iraqis who are in prison for a reason are at best humiliated and maybe sodomized? Well, at least they aren't dead!

Some further perspective. I don't condone physical violence against prisoners such as forced sodomy or even shooting at them unless they are attempting to cause harm to our soldiers watching them. I do not however have a problem with humiliating them and using psychological tactics to get them to talk. If anything done here went beyond the level of humiliation and psychological warfare then let's walk those responsible through the court martial process and reprimand them in accordance with UCMJ.

But to have the high and mighty socialists of this country and around the world who remained silent and made excuses for Saddam suddenly turn around and use this as an excuse to trash America over the actions of 0.05% of our soldiers completely shows which side they are on.

And remember, the same people criticizing us today are the same people that praised the Iraqis that bombed 4 civilian contractors and strung their burned bodies up from a bridge in "protest" and "defiance" of American Imperialism.

You want some? Come get some.

Painting by numbers (or waging war on polls)

Iraq has been a great success although not without its set backs. Despite the moans of the critics, who mostly sat around through the Clinton years and now lament their chance to have nipped terrorism in the bud, Iraqis are infinitely better off today than under Saddam.

But in those isolated pockets where ruminants of Saddam's regime and foreign fighters have gathered, the U.S. has taken a soft handed approach, not at all typical of President Bush's other actions in the War on Terror. The military is treating the insurgents with kid gloves instead of the shock and awe that caused Saddam's military to fumble and fade. No doubt this is in response to the recent polls which seem to suggest that Iraqi's are unhappy that the U.S. has not yet left Iraq. No doubt these actions are an attempt to garner favor and portray us as a non-occupying force by allowing Iraqi militia members to take control of the situation while Marines hover on the outskirts.

Waging war on poll numbers is dangerous. It puts our troops in harms way. And make no mistake, this is still a war.

When the enemy fires at you, you destroy them. You don't talk about it. You don't negotiate when you are in a superior position. Peace through superior fire power wins the day, and an iron hand wins the war. These terrorists and their allies are not to be taken lightly. They are dangerous. And they will be even more dangerous if we let them think they can negotiate with us.

War is not like civilian life. It is hard and it is brutal. But war is fought so that people can live in peace. The kid gloves must come off until those that would be the enemies of a free Iraq are smitten. Now is not the time to try and be seen as the "nice guy". Now is the time to secure the future for the peace loving people of Iraq.
