Gaining Ground for Christian Rights

World Net Daily reports that Palm Beach has lost it's battle to keep Christian religious symbols such as nativity scenes out of public view while allowing other religion's symbols such as menorahs. Personally, this decision doesn't go far enough as reported. $1 in damages to each plaintiff and a "promise" to put into place procedures to review applications for such displays? Come on.

In a clear case of the Courts going soft on Constitutional Rights violators the decision should have been much more harsh. The decision should have included larger fines and even jail time for those at fault in a case so clearly illegal under the laws of our Constitution that it should have made the heads of any American spin.

We'll see what Palm Beach does. But don't expect the anti-Christians to change their tune just because a court tells them to. If they have no respect for the Constitution what makes you think they will have respect for the ruling of a court established by said Constitution.

So remain vigilant. The opposition may cave on this one just to survive, but they will be back. Evil always comes back.

Peace Through Superior Firepower

Newsmax has an interesting article today about how terrorist attacks by Palestinians in Israel are way down. Why? Because Israel has been blowing up the terrorists FIRST!

BEHOLD! The philosophy actually works...much to the shock of bleeding hearts everywhere.

Senator Clinton wants to raise your TAXES!

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 10:32 AM

Newsday and the Associated Press are reporting that Ms Clinton made the following remarks:

"Many of you are well enough off that ... the tax cuts may have helped you," Sen. Clinton said. "We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."

So, Clinton wants to raise your taxes for the "common good" eh? Of course what does she care? How many millions have her and Bill made on their respective book deals?

With millions in the bank, neither of these two clowns understands the importance of $1,000 to the working family. Never forget the face of socialism and communism. And that face is that it is the GOVERNMENT'S money, not yours.

Wrong Senator Clinton. It's MY money.

So if you want higher taxes, vote for Clinton.

Here's a better idea Hillary, donate a couple million of your own dollars to the Federal Government to help out your pet social programs instead of asking the family making $40,000 a year to give back a $1,000.

You can afford it and still have a million or so to live on. Which is more than the rest of us.

McCain: U.S. Should Offer Naturalization

Sun Jun 27,10:14 AM ET

By AMANDA LEE MYERS, Associated Press Writer

PHOENIX - The "human tragedy" of illegal immigrants dying and being abused as they attempt to enter the United States will continue until the federal government acknowledges the important economic role undocumented workers play, Sen. John McCain told Hispanic leaders Saturday.

"It is in our national interest to bring the 8 to 12 million undocumented immigrants out of the shadows and allow them an opportunity to become citizens of this great nation," McCain said at the annual conference of the National Council of La Raza, a civil rights group and political think tank dedicated to promoting Hispanic issues.

The Arizona Republican said federal policy and border enforcement have failed to alleviate the deaths of migrants crossing the sweltering Southwest deserts and the violence of smugglers who often hold immigrants for ransom once they reach America.

An example of the government's wrongheaded approach, McCain said, is its recent introduction of unmanned aerial vehicles in Arizona that use thermal and night-vision equipment to help Border Patrol agents spot illegal immigrants.

(Read the rest a Yahoo)

-------------------------------------------------------

This from the man who thinks that money turns good people bad. So I guess it isn't that far fetched to see that he doesn't understand the problem. Senator McCain, if they want to stop "dying" or being "abused" perhaps they should STOP BREAKING THE FREAKING LAW!

We are not the ones forcing them into the back of trucks where they suffocate because they are trying to break our laws now are we?

Senator McCain also seems to think that it is a bad idea for us to have put up unmanned drones and increased boarder security to stop these illegals by saying "That ignores the fundamental problem." "Where there's a demand, there's a supply ... There's a demand for people to fill jobs that Americans won't do."

Better idea here Senator. How about where there are CRIMINALS there will be CRIME!?!?!?! No, no that is too simple because after all in Senator McCain's world, external forces make good people do bad things (i.e. campaign finances and soft money which lead to the McCain/Feingold travesty).

Senator McCain, securing our borders and illegal aliens dying because they want to break our laws doesn't "ignores the fundamental problem". In fact it emphasizes it. It emphasizes that there are BAD people in this world. It emphasizes that they will break the law and that unless you get tough on them they will continue to do so.

While you are generally fairly level headed Senator, you keep having these brain farts. End the pandering. Just do your job. Paving the way for 8 to 12 million CRIMINALS to obtain citizenship doesn't solve the problem. It will however make it worse as people flood into this nation illegally once they see we are willing to let them suck upon the nipple of the federal government.

When Priests Attack...

Priest Beats Up Would-Be Robbers

Friday, June 25, 2004

A tough Chicago priest foiled two would-be robbers who tried to steal money from the church collection box, keeping one of them in a headlock until the cops came.

St. Agnes' Church (search) in the city's West Side had been robbed before, reports WBBM-TV, so video cameras were installed overlooking the collection box.

On Wednesday afternoon, church volunteers saw a man lay out tools and try to break into the box, which was holding about $300.

Father Matt Foley ran in and grabbed the man's tools, but the crook fought back, and the tussle wandered into the street, then a nearby alley.

"He had threatened me that he had a knife," Foley told the TV station. "I had to physically keep his hand away from the knife so I wouldn't be harmed. So I put him basically in a half-nelson and held him to the ground."

Article
------------------------------------------
I predict the following leftwing response:

"This 'attack' by the church upon our legal system and our state system of law enforcement cannot go unpunished. Because there is a CLEAR separation of 'church and state' laid out in the Constitution, Father Matt Foley must be arrested for interfering which the State's right to punish criminals and enforce the law. We cannot allow an official of the 'church' to decide the guilt or innocence of this man before a trial and assault him. Also the fact that he proudly proclaimed 'No one steals from God' is equally offensive. His statements imply that this 'God' figure is some sort of 'Supreme Being' that is above us all. Thus we announce today that we are filing papers in Federal Court to this attack by the 'church' upon a citizen of the United States for violating Constitutional Law."

Confused Environmentalists...

Thursday, June 24, 2004

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 7:59 AM

Yesterday, a group of environ-commies broke into property owned by the Hatfield's Ferry Power Station in Pennsylvania and climber the coal plant's 700 foot stack. Greenpeace said that this plant was "a symbol and an example of the Bush administration's dirty energy policy, which consistently favors polluting fossil fuel over clean energy sources, such as wind and solar."

The two issues this raises are serious ones. Firstly if a handful of environ-commies can break into a powerplant so easily and not be detected until they have climbed the plant's stack, imagine how easy it would be for a terrorist to get onto the property.

Secondly, is that Greenpeace had better be held accountable for what they now spew as double speak. If these protestors think that Greenpeace is SO much in favor of clean energy such as "wind", maybe they should think again. Greenpeace, the same self proclaimed champions of "wind" power, protested against the building of a massive wind farm off the coast of Massachusetts, Cape Cod. They were on the side of the NIMBY enviro-commies that SCREAM for wind power to make the environment "cleaner" yet want them built in YOUR back yard; not their's.

Ah the great Communist plan. Get their way at the cost of the "little people" and the "little people's" property. No, we can't build the wind farm off of Cape Cod because it would ruin the view for the enviro-commies. Instead we should build it in YOUR back yard because, well you are insignificant and YOUR view of the sky isn't that important.

These "environmentalists" don't want clean air. They want power. Otherwise they would have jumped at supporting this Cape Cod project. So before these naive Greenpeace activists in PA spout what Greenpeace wants, perhaps they should actually read what Greenpeace does.

But then again, the truth is a secondary cause to the pursuit of power.

Clinton still can't admit he is a bad man

Wednesday, June 23, 2004

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 5:25 PM

Nope. Still cannot do it. Promoting his new book, former President Clinton said things such as that Ken Starr would not be allowed to be a prosecutor against him in any court (BBC interview) and that his affair with Lewinski was the result of Republicans shutting down the government and thereby causing only a few people to be around him in the White House (Oprah).

He is still full of himself.

Mr. Former President, I remind you that it was Janet Reno that ordered Ken Starr and told him what to investigate. Who hired Ms. Reno? Why YOU DID!

Mr. Former President, I remind you that it was YOU that was disbarred and prohibited from practicing law. It WASN'T Ken Starr

Mr. Former President, I remind you that YOU chose to stick your willy in Monica's mouth and no amount of blaming the Republicans is going to change that.

Former President Clinton still has much to realize about being a man. He still cannot seem to take responsibility very well and is still to this day looking to blame other people for his transgressions. Who was it that slandered and innocent man so that he could have his buddies running the White House Travel Office?

If you listen to Slick Willy long enough, he'll blame the Republicans for that one too.

Grow up Bubba. This isn't the trailer park playground anymore. This is real life. Take it like a man and move on.

Bowing to imaginary pressure.

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 5:19 PM

The White House released several documents which discussed our methods of interrogating detainees in the War on Terror. Now we are going to have to adjust because the left wing in this country couldn't leave it be and could not accept that the military itself had already been handling the situation of a handfuls of soldiers abusing Iraqis. We have to adjust because now the enemy knows our strategies such as using "false flags" to convince criminals that they have been transported to countries that actually use torture to get information.

Thanks a lot. Now the enemy knows that it is most likely just a ruse. Now that they know that, they are going to be harder to get information out of which puts our soldiers and out country at higher risk.

But then again, that is pretty much what the left wants anyway. They don't like America all that much and anything that helps to bring Lady Liberty to her knees and hampers this country is a-ok with them.

Better late than never I always say. I know you are all probably up to speed on the beheading of Paul M. Johnson Jr. in Saudi Arabia. I was at the Fair Tax conference in Pittsburgh last night so this is my first chance to say this.

The Saudis seem to have finally woken up. They managed to kill his slaughterers. Better late than never I suppose for them to wake up to the cesspool of radical Islam they have been funding in their schools.

But this is not enough. The Saudis must be proactive and root out this terror.

And we must be proactive as well.

We have had the philosophy of the iron first, but that iron first is wrapped with foam rubber. We are not defeating this evil with such a strategy. We are merely playing a game of who can out last the other.

It is time to cut away the padding. It is time to come down with the iron fist and come down hard. No more negotiating. No more please and then a thank you when we get half of what is needed to be done. This war will not be won allowing people like Al Sadr and Al Queda to run free. They must be burned off the skin like a tick otherwise they will continue to suck the life out of us.

Berkeley at it AGAIN!

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 8:30 AM

What is it they have done again you ask? They have passed a resolution that recommends a Constitutional Amendment to prohibit Corporations from having Constitutional Rights.

Berkeley, for all the supposedly "smart" people that attend college in the town seems to have a problem retaining those people and actually putting any of that knowledge to good use. What is a "corporation"? A corporation is a group of "people" (all of which have Constitutional Rights) that come together to pursue a goal.

Since "corporations" are "people" and the "people" have certain rights, then the "corporation" has those rights as well. If it did not then the "people" that make up the "corporation" would lose their Constitutional Rights by default.

And that is EXACTLY what the wack-jobs in the socialist republic of Berkeley want. They don't like our rights because they extend to you an me as well as them. Socialism and Communism don't work as long as that is true. They only begin to work when "rights" are taken away from the "people" (other than themselves of course). Make no mistake, this call for action is NOT without a plan.

And that plan is to gain a foothold to removing individual rights by declaring someone as part of an evil "coproration". Once they do that, then all they have to do is make the case that any group of people are a "corporation" and thus not entitled to their rights and privilege under the United States constitution.

Rewriting "Full Faith and Credit"

Tuesday, June 15, 2004

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 7:16 AM

Liberals and social engineers are in a bind. They are promoting gay marriage and they are promoting the concept that gay unions (which they call “marriage”) in one state such as Massachusetts must be held as viable in in all other states because of the “full faith and credit” clause of the United States Constitution.

Article. IV of the Constitution sates “Section. 1. Full Faith and Credit shall be given in each State to the public Acts, Records, and judicial Proceedings of every other State And the Congress may by general Laws prescribe the Manner in which such Acts, Records and Proceedings shall be proved, and the Effect thereof. Section 2. The Citizens of each State shall be entitled to all Privileges and Immunities of Citizens in the several States.”

What this essentially says is that “full faith and credit” must be given as prescribed by Congress and that citizens of the United States regardless of the states where they live have the same rights as all United States (“the several States”) Citizens.

What the liberals and social engineers however desire it to say is that instead citizens of each state are entitled to all Privileges and Immunities of Citizens in “each of the States.” The difference is startling.

Newdow given the boot.

Monday, June 14, 2004

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 6:35 PM

The Supreme Court Ruled 8-0 that Mr. Newdow didn't have the right to bring a case before our legal system. Full story here.

Note that technically this ruling does not uphold the pledge as is because it was ruled that Mr. Newdow did not have standing which all of us that have been following this case honestly knew they would have to in order to be true to our legal system.

However, I have no doubt that a court that actually read the Annals of Congress and the debates on the first and other amendments would be left with no other choice than to throw this case out even if he did have standing. James Madison himself clearly stated that the purpose of the first amendment was not to prevent displays of religion or stifle religion, but rather to prohibit a national method of worship "or else". Couple that with the fact that the Constitution ONLY has authority because of the Declaration of Independence which states that by its authority and the authority of God the people have the right to establish a government as such. Arguments that the Constitution is the supreme law of the land are frivolous because without the Declaration of Independence and the precepts it sets forth, there is no Constitution or even the right to form a government under a Constitution.

On top of that, if mentioning "God" means that something establishes a religion and is hence "unconstitutional", then the Constitution would itself be "unconstitutional". Why? Read the last line which says:

"Done in Convention by the Unanimous Consent of the States present the Seventeenth Day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty seven and of the Independence of the United States of America the Twelfth In witness whereof We have hereunto subscribed our Names"

Do not be fooled. Getting the mention of "God" declared "unconstitutional" is the biggest step the left has in getting the U.S. Constitution itself declared null and void because of this one little line that few acknowledge exists.

More Lefties at it

Saturday, June 12, 2004

Brandon Niemeyer is a typical socialist/communist diaper wearing lefty. In one breath he says of Ronald Reagan "I do not intend to dishonor the man" however by that time it is all too late. Why? Because in the prior paragraph he said "The anti-Christ is dead. That was my initial reaction Saturday afternoon at a Cincinnati hotel bar to the news of former President Ronald Reagan's death."

This is typical double speak that left will engage in. In one breath they slander, but in the next they claim that they are doing no such thing. As if people are that stupid as to think "Oh, he called Reagan the anti-Christ, but he didn't mean it to dishonor him".

Ok, so there are some of his fellow travelers that will actually buy it. But not the majority of Americans. No we are not that far gone yet. It would be nice to take Brandon seriously. However when he contradicts himself before he even gets out of the gate, that is nearly impossible.

Try again Brandon, eventually you will get it right.

More Homo-mischaracterizations

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 12:43 PM

Homosexuals still don't get it. In fact they so don't "get it" that they continue to resort to distorting the situation in order to make themselves feel "oppressed" and justify their own sense of self worth.

World Net Daily reports that a new movement is afoot targeting Virginia. Claiming that "Virginia is for Haters" Jay Porter and his companion David Smith of Seattle are calling for a boycott of the State and companies there in response to the Virginia legislature affirming marriage as a union between a man and a woman.

Porter called the legislation "really punitive" and said it could "happen just about anywhere in the U.S."

Punitive? Really? This legislation inflicts, involves, or is aimed at punishment? Yet another misuse of words in the English language in order to make themselves sound like victims.

What this legislation does is simply defines marriage. Homosexuals such as Mr. Porter don't like that. So they see it as "punishing" them. News flash: it doesn't punish you. Once again, marriage is a matter of one's religion, NOT anything else. You NOT being allowed to redefine marriage because you want to does not punish you. It doesn't infringe on your "pursuit of happiness".

This is similar to saying that because the government does give me what I want, they are being "punitive" towards me. If I want the government to give me a million dollars and they don't I can't claim that they have "punished" me. If I demand that the government recognizes my friend Bob as the supreme being and refuses to they have not "punished" me. If I demand that the government recognize me being married to my dog and they refuse, they have not "punished" me.

Punishment is not what this does. What it does, however, is cramp the style of homosexuals that rather than being happy are looking for any excuse to complain, bitch and moan and scream for oppression. What it does is show how far groups will go when they don't get their way.

I think I'll take a nice trip to Virginia. Sounds like a swell place.

Notice a difference?

When a Democrat dies, the socialists scream from the pulpit about how evil the Republicans and the fraction of them that are true conservatives are. They whine about how it is time to take back this country and how they must be strong in the face of "oppression". Anyone other than me remember the Paul Wellstone "Memorial"?

When a Republican dies, the day is filled with mourning and somber revelations about the man's life and his vision. It is a week of anonymous people shouting to the widow about how much they love her and what her and her husband did for this country. It is a day where Americans come together.

Notice the difference?

Disregard for the Constitution

Sunday, June 06, 2004

Mr. Michael Pelletier was harassed by cops after and "anonymous" person complained about him openly carrying a firearm which he was legally permitted for. Note that Mr. Pelletier was NOT causing any problems except that he was scaring some liberal, un-American, red diaper wearing cry baby that has probably never even read the Constitution. As it stands however, because there is an internal investigation, apparently the name of the liberal that caused Mr. Pelletier to be harassed cannot be currently released because of the rules of such investigations.

This is what we have come to. We have come to a point where the the vast majority of the populace don't understand what it means to be an American. They think that their "rights" are to not to be exposed to anything that they find objectionable (such as firearms).

The "anonymous" tipper should be charged with the cost of the officer's salaries as well as forced to pay restitution for filing a frivolous police report and also for causing the defamation of Mr. Pelletier. The officers that harassed him should have their badges revoked and their rights to pensions terminated and forced to find other work.

We cannot overlook these instances nor should they not go unpunished.

Back....and a non-political thought...

Friday, June 04, 2004

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 8:53 PM

So I got back in town last night and I must admit that I really haven't been paying attention to the political happenings and am now just starting to get back up to speed. So while I do that here is a non-political thought...

Who are the lazy S.o.B.s that can't return a shopping cart to the shopping cart return or even *gasp* to the store front if no return exists? Nothing irks me more than finding a perfectly good spot consumed by 2 or more discarded carts because someone was too lazy to take them the 50 feet to the cart return.

A message for those that do this:

I know, it REALLY eats into your BUSY schedule to spend 2 minutes returning the cart. But couldn't you at least make the effort? Or are you that self centered that it doesn't phase you that these non-courteous acts just cause problems for everyone else? Why do I think that the same people that do this are the one's that won't go out and find a damn job but would rather instead live off social security because McDonalds doesn't "pay enough" for them to be bothered.

Oooops. I guess I turned it political anyway. Oh well.

Or maybe you are the same people that decide to jump from the right lane to the left lane on the highway going 10 miles UNDER the speed limit and causing the whole lane to have to slam on the breaks to avoid hitting you.

Or maybe you're the same person that doesn't follow politics but still goes to the voting booth anyway in November and pulls a level without any knowledge of the candidate.

In any case, I REALLY dislike you. Notice I don't hate you, I just dislike you. People like you are the reason our society has gone to Hell in a handbasket because you can't be bothered to actually go the extra mile.
