Debate Summary

Kerry mentioned 5 or 6 times that he was in Vietnam. Did you know that? Kerry berated our allies in Iraq (twice) as pretty much insignificant because they have fewer feet on the ground. He failed to acknowledge that they had any significance in Iraq. Senator Kerry talked about US policy passing a "global test" instead of acting firmly as a sovereign nation. John Kerry continually asked to lead this nation and our troops while still standing by his "wrong" war at the "wrong" time rhetoric which demoralizes them. Senator Kerry claimed to have a better plan and said that he would hold meetings to solve problems which got us real far with Iraq right? He said that he has been consistent...despite starting off pro-war...then going anti-war...then saying that he supported the war...then saying it was the "wrong war" at the "wrong time"...all within a matter of months. He called out for change, but offered nothing of substance...unless you count his service in Vietnam which he liked to mention over and over.

President Bush pointed out what he had done over the first 4 years of his Presidency. He didn't berate our allies and when John Kerry claimed that President Bush wasn't doing things such as holding summits, President Bush reminded him that that was not true. He reminded us that he has been the consistent one with one vision that has not wavered. President Bush reminded us that he has lead a coalition and that he will not look for a "global test" before defending America and he reminded us that America is capable of fighting on multiple fronts at once despite the pessimism of his opponent.

All in all I call it a win for the President.

Can Kerry Be This Stupid?

Monday, September 27, 2004

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 1:07 PM

One has to honestly ask the question after John Kerry is quoted as saying ''My favorite gun is the M-16 that saved my life and that of my crew in Vietnam,'' and then further saying ''I don't own one of those now, but one of my reminders of my service is a Communist Chinese assault rifle.'' in an interview with Outdoor Life Magazine.

According to World Net Daily "Kerry is a hunter who voiced support for the recently expired assault-weapons ban, and often tells citizens he's never met anyone who wanted to use an AK-47 to shoot a deer." Kerry is also a supporter of the so-called "assault weapons" ban which begs to ask why does he have a "Communist Chinese assault rifle"? Surely that weapon even though old, would be considered the exact same kinds of weapons he wants to keep us from having.

And it is. But here's the reason why Kerry gets to have one and you don't. He is a liberal and the rules never apply to liberals because they are more intelligent and responsible than the rest of us. Although one would have to question Kerry's intelligence when he uses as his rationale the old "hunters don't need assault weapons" excuse to keep "assault weapons" out of the hands of the American Public.

One has to question that when the founding fathers (who one would assume an intelligent liberal would have studied) said things like:

"The Constitution shall never be construed to prevent the people of the United States who are peaceable citizens from keeping their own arms." - Samual Adams

"No free man shall ever be de-barred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain their right to keep and bear arms is as a last resort to protect themselves against tyranny in government." - Thomas Jefferson (attributed)

"Little more can reasonably be aimed at, with respect to the people at large, than to have them properly armed and equipped" - Alexander Hamilton Federalist Paper #29

How much longer are these "intellectuals" running under the guise of Democrats going to continue this ruse? How much longer are they going to pretend that the second amendment was only meant for hunters? How much longer are they going to say one thing and do another?

How much longer until they drop the guise of being Democrats and simply admit to being who they are? Are they that afraid of calling themselves Socialists and Communists? And should these Communists and Socialists gain power, only at that time will most Americans understand the reasons for the Second Amendment.

The TRUTH About The Draft Scare

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 1:04 PM

Who REALLY supports bringing back the draft? H. R. 163 was introduced "To provide for the common defense by requiring that all young persons in the United States, including women, perform a period of military service or a period of civilian service in furtherance of the national defense and homeland security, and for other purposes."

We often hear Socialists disguised as Democrats saying that it is President George W. Bush who, if re-elected, would re-institute the draft. Oh really? Please note that the sponsors and co-sponsors of this bill are:

Rep Rangel, Charles B. [NY-15] (introduced 1/7/2003) DEMOCRAT
Rep Abercrombie, Neil [HI-1] - 1/7/2003 DEMOCRAT (also Member of the "Progressive Caucus")
Rep Brown, Corrine [FL-3] - 1/28/2003 DEMOCRAT (also Member of the "Progressive Caucus")
Rep Christensen, Donna M. [VI] - 5/19/2004 DEMOCRAT
Rep Clay, Wm. Lacy [MO-1] - 1/28/2003 DEMOCRAT (also Member of the "Progressive Caucus")
Rep Conyers, John, Jr. [MI-14] - 1/7/2003 DEMOCRAT (also Member of the "Progressive Caucus")
Rep Cummings, Elijah E. [MD-7] - 1/28/2003 DEMOCRAT
Rep Hastings, Alcee L. [FL-23] - 1/28/2003 DEMOCRAT
Rep Jackson, Jesse L., Jr. [IL-2] - 7/21/2004 DEMOCRAT (also Member of the "Progressive Caucus")
Rep Jackson-Lee, Sheila [TX-18] - 1/28/2003 DEMOCRAT (also Member of the "Progressive Caucus")
Rep Lewis, John [GA-5] - 1/7/2003 DEMOCRAT (also Member of the "Progressive Caucus")
Rep McDermott, Jim [WA-7] - 1/7/2003 DEMOCRAT (also Member of the "Progressive Caucus")
Rep Moran, James P. [VA-8] - 1/28/2003 DEMOCRAT
Rep Stark, Fortney Pete [CA-13] - 1/7/2003 DEMOCRAT (also Member of the "Progressive Caucus")
Rep Velazquez, Nydia M. [NY-12] - 1/28/2003 DEMOCRAT (also Member of the "Progressive Caucus")
Rep Norton, Eleanor Holmes [DC] - 1/28/2003(withdrawn - 6/21/2004) DEMOCRAT (also Member of the "Progressive Caucus")

Gee, isn't that interesting. According to Democrats President Bush is the one that wants to send your kids off to war with a military draft, yet it is the Socialists in the Democratic party that are sponsoring the bill that would make it possible.

Something doesn't smell right. Does it?

Speculation...

Wednesday, September 15, 2004

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 5:15 PM

Could it be that the reason it is taking so long for CBS to release their statement over the fake documents is because they are planning a joint statement?

CBS:
"Dan Rather has decided to take his career in another direction. Now here in Terry McAuliffe."
McAuliffe:
"The DNC would like to welcome our newest member...DAN RATHER!"

Still Waiting...

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 4:01 PM

CBS has been promising us all day that they are going to come out with a statement regarding Dan Rather and 60 Minutes using fraudulent documents to "get Bush". Why? Because they have the lawyers and the egos involved.

Every time a draft is written of the confession first the lawyers look at it as say "You can't say that, say this!" Then the egos (i.e. Dan Rather) get involved and say "I WON'T say that." So the dance continues. The question is will we get the announcement today or not?

The Truth Be Damned!

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 9:52 AM

The DNC launched a new television ad again attacking President Bush for his service in the Texas Air National Guard. This is of course the third or fourth time during elections that they have tried this tactic without success. A transcript posted at democrats.org is rather amusing reading.

It builds to Ben Barnes admitting that he gave President Bush preferential treatment at the time. What it fails to admit is that Ben Barnes' own daughter has called her father (politely) a liar. She is on the record as saying that her father told her that he never did such things.

What the ad further goes on to not mention is that when she went public with this confession of her father's words he had his secretary call Sean Hannity, pretend to represent his daughter and try to cancel an interview. What is not mentioned is that Ben Barnes is a powerful figure in Senator Kerry's Presidential Campaign. What is not mentioned is that for 30 years Mr. Barnes said exactly the opposite of what he is saying today.

Hmmmm. But then again you don't expect the DNC to tell you the facts to let you decide do you?

Hello? CBS? Anyone Home?

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 9:51 AM

In the week since Dan Rather went on 60 Minutes with documents showing that President George Bush failed in his duty while serving in the Texas Air National Guard, we have heard hardly a peep. The documents, now widely considered to be forgeries which mysteriously line up with the default settings of Microsoft Word (which did not exist when the memos where to have been written) and have numerous other discrepancies have come under much scrutiny by everyone. Everyone it seems except CBS and some at the DNC.

There are still many lingering questions. Some of the "experts" that supposedly verified the documents have not been named by CBS and CBS is holding tightly to the source of the documents.

The question is why is CBS holding the name of the source of fraudulent documents a tightly guarded secret and even refusing to rule out the DNC or it's operatives? CBS should be exposing the source of this fraud just as they so eagerly jumped on the documents at first.

Come on. We know why CBS is holding it's tongue. They are holding the source so tightly for only one reason and that reason is the source must be powerful enough to give them something in the future. It's not some nobody without any power. Of that you can be sure.

So who can this person or persons be? Who has the most to gain from leaking fake documents? Think McAuliffe, Begala, Carville and the rest of the DSS. That's the Democratic Smear Squad incase you were wondering.

These are the only people powerful enough that would want President Bush defeated in November that could have the influence enough to make CBS choke on it's own story. And while CBS delays, the paper shredders are churning and the delete keys are being pressed to erase as much of a connection as possible between the forged documents and the DNC/John Kerry campaign.

All that will be left at best will be scattered bits of information that don’t connect all that well and leaves enough room for denial and maybe make some low level operative look like the sole guilty party. That is, unless CBS grows a pair and outs them.

NewsMax is reporting that Senator Kerry is ALREADY asking the FEC about how to go about recounting votes when he loses in Nevember. When I came up with these potential catch phrases for the Kerry/Edwards ticket back on July 6th, people thought I was joking!

Kerry Edwards 2004: Because Great Hair makes a GREAT candidate!
Kerry Edwards 2004: Two Johns in Hand is worth a Clinton in the Bush!
Kerry Edwards 2004: When Kerry Slips, Edwards Sues!
Kerry Edwards 2004: Getting ready to sue when FL votes for Bush!
Kerry Edwards 2004: Because you can never have enough SOCIALISM!
Kerry Edwards 2004: Because "51" is "young"!
Kerry Edwards 2004: Because one wealthy elitist snob who wants to take your money and give it to the poor while you can't afford a new car is NOT ENOUGH!

Still think I was joking?

Three Years Later

Saturday, September 11, 2004

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 9:31 AM

Now three years removed from the events of September 11th, 2001 the day is still in the minds of most Americans. It may not be the first thing we think about when we awake in the morning like it was in the days following the terrorist attacks perpetrated by followers of radical Islam but it is still in the mind nagging at us from the recesses of conscious thought.

How could it not? The thoughts of planes crashing with fiery explosions into the World Trade Center are hard to forget. The thoughts of our fellow countrymen leaping from the towers rather than burn to death is to horrific to not remember. The thoughts of another plane turned into a missile striking the Pentagon and of a fourth plane downed short of it’s intended target by a group of passengers standing up to the terrorists are equally hard to wipe from our minds.

But not all Americans remember. Whether by choice or by accident they have forgotten that on September 11th, 2001 America was attacked as it had been for many years by a force unwilling to recognize the rights of non-Muslims, unwilling to cease until all non-Muslims are dead and unwilling to spare civilians but rather deliberately attack civilians. Those that have forgotten by accident have returned to the naive world of September 10th, 2001 where despite repeated attacks by this enemy they had not successfully touched American soil. Then again there is that nagging Iraqi connection to Oklahoma City…

Those that have forgotten on purpose have forgotten for their own gains. They have forgotten because it is politically expedient to forget that 9/11 happened, and that evil exists and will not stop until it is defeated. They have forgotten because to remember sheds light on failure after failure by themselves and those that served them for years to deal with a growing threat.

They have forgotten on purpose because it means potentially gaining power.

September 11th and the memory of those that died because of terrorists are not a political football to be passed around in a Presidential election year. These things are not imagery to be bent and twisted to gain power. They are our memories. And our memories should not be tarnished for political or personal gains by those unscrupulous individuals that want distort the events.

The events of a brisk Tuesday in September 2001 once brought Americans together. Today they are being used by those shallow morals more interested in power than the well being of America to divide this country. The only question left is are you one of those that have forgotten either on purpose or by accident?

Well? Have you? Have you forgotten?

The Wheels Are Falling Off The Bus

Wednesday, September 08, 2004

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 5:01 PM

As if things weren't bad enough for Senator Kerry! He's already drawn the ire of many veteran's groups including the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth for failing to at least renounce his 1971 Senate testimony where he accused soldiers of war crimes on a day to day basis and admitted himself to being a war criminal. But now, at least one vet is publicly recanting his testimony during the "Winter Soldier" hearings.

Not only that but Steve Pitkin as World Net Daily Reports goes further to claim that he was coerced into lying about war crimes that he did not commit by the event's leaders.

Uh oh.

But Vietnam is old news. It is readily seen to anyone watching without an agenda that those vets such as Senator Kerry that returned home and made grandiose claims where either willing dupes, political oportunists or among the few that committed war crimes while in Vietnam and tried to cover their guilt with the "Well EVERYONE else was doing it!" excuse.

But then again Vietnam is old news. At least until Senator Kerry speaks. Seems like he can't go more than a day without referencing his service and tooting his own horn about how heroic his 4 months in actual combat were. He has three purple hearts. Did you know that?

Of course you did. He mentions Vietnam every chance he gets because he has little to speak of otherwise. And that is why Vietnam will not go away. That is why Vietnam is an issue today. And that is why every time he turns around, the Kerry Campaign Bus looses another wheel.

I wonder how many spares he has got left.

Well, it was a great couple days off as a prelude to my vacation coming up here in under two weeks and while I was gone apparently John Kerry, thinking Steubenville Ohio was a safe place to make a campaign stop got a rude awakening.

Kathryn Jean Lopez at National Review Online is reporting that despite John Kerry's pleas to hold some 500 demonstrators out of a public park during his rally. Apparently the local police said no way John...you know...free speech and all.

"Kerry was visibly shaken when he received boos from the audience....." Ms. Lopez reports. Well well well. To bad there old bean. Too bad. Next time maybe you'll have to try good old Boston...you won't get boo'ed there...maybe.

My advice to Kerry.

Thursday, September 02, 2004

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 10:19 AM

I'm going to do something that normally I wouldn't do, but I'll give the Demo's some advice on this. If you are serious about the election Kerry should start every speech between now and election day as follows:

"I'm a liar. I've lied about my service in Vietnam for many years and it was wrong of me to accuse veterans whom I wasn't around of war crimes. When I discovered that much of the testimony I based by speech before Congress on was given by people who actually never served in Vietnam I should have corrected the record then. It was wrong of me to project my guilt over having committed war crimes onto other soldiers. It was wrong, and I am sorry. I am a war criminal.

I am vastly partisan. I objected to the Vietnam War because it suited my partisan goals and was necessary for me to win election to the Senate. I support military action against America's enemies but only when a President from my own party is in control. The record is clear and you need to know that before voting for me.

I think that Socialism is good and that higher taxes to punish the rich other than my friends and myself is a good thing. I would prefer Communism, but I think that is too big of a step for America right now. It was wrong for us to ever oppose the military expansion of Communism and I hope that one day America is Communist. I am sorry to all that I might have offended, however would you ever have voted for me if I told you that in the past? No. But today, America has shown that it is ready for Socialism and I am ready to bring it to you.

That being out in the open, I have some other topics to discus today now that you know where I stand on the major issues of the last 30 years."

They won't take that advice, but if they did, it would win back some of the "moderates" he has alienated and probably enough to win.

Zell Gave 'Em Hell!

Wednesday, September 01, 2004

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 10:34 PM

Zell Miller, or as Democrats like to call him "traitor", gave a scathing indictment of the DNC and John Kerry at the Republican Convention. Senator Miller said that only President Bush could protect his family - not John Kerry. Senator Miller said that President George Bush was a man of action - not John Kerry. Senator Miller said that President Bush was the man to support our troops - not John Kerry who voted against giving them body armor. Senator Miller said that President George Bush was a man of faith - not John Kerry. Senator Miller said that President George Bush was the man that he would support for President in 2004 - not John Kerry.

Liberals, Socialists, Communists, and other left wingers could actually be heard crying in agony at the speech. They could actually feel their hearts sink and their hopes fade.

I respect Senator Miller. He is a gritty ex-Marine that knows that loyalty to a party does not mean blindly following a bad candidate. I respect him because I feel the exact same way.

Semper Fi Mr. Miller. Carry on.

Ahhhhhnold's Back!

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 11:36 AM

Last night, the Governator had a prime time speaking spot at the RNC. His speech did not disappoint to be sure. It focused on how he had come to America penniless as an immigrant and made something great of himself and he even had a dig for the Girlie Men out there as well.

All in all his speech was positive and Reaganesque in its message. Now if only he returns to California and lives up to the promise of his speech instead of looking like he wants to find a way to coddle illegal aliens. I make no bones about how the "big tent" philosophy of the Republican Party causes me angst. Giving rousing speeches on conservative values is one thing, putting words into action is something quite different altogether.
