Beware of Cell Phone Nazis?

The New York Post reports on a new threat to liberty, This threat is not from the Federal government, but rather from your fellow citizens that think they have a right to control your behavior in public.
Unsuspecting cell phone users may find themselves saying that more often now that cell phone jammers — illegal gizmos that interfere with signals and cut off reception — are selling like hotcakes on the streets of New York.Reports Angela Montefinise concerning this new phenomenon where left wing nut cases think that their right not to hear you speak is more important than your right to speak.
Of course the fact that such devices are illegal wont stop the cell phone Nazis. Such jammers are illegal because they interfere with emergency calls and the public airwaves. Just think about a rapist carrying around one of these little gadgets and preventing his victims from calling 911 as he is stalking them.
According to the Post one of the Brownshirt wanna-bes justified their actions as such:
"I use it on the bus all the time. I always zap the idiots who discuss what they want from the Chinese restaurant so that everyone can hear them. Why is that necessary?"I'm sorry but since when did you decide what is and what is not "necessary"?
Another said the following:
"One time I followed this guy around for 20 minutes," he said. "I kept zapping him and zapping him, until finally he threw the phone on the floor. I couldn't stop laughing. It was so cool."
Private establishments like movie theaters have the right to request cell phones not be used on their premises. However, Joe Blow who decides that he doesn't want to hear Mr. Smith telling his wife to pick up an extra chicken at the market because he has guests coming for dinner does not have the right to stop that conversation in a public place.
If you don't like them talking, politely ask them to stop. If they don't, go somewhere else. You don't have a right to not be annoyed by a conversation you think is meaningless while at the same time having the right to annoy someone else by stopping them from having said conversation.
We all have a certain disdain for those inconsiderate boobs that think that they have to tell their significant other they love them 30 times before hanging up or those people that talk so loud you can hear their conversations on the other side of the mall. But that doesn't give you the right to break the law or interfere with their right to speech.
