Senator "Snarlin" Arlen Specter still doesn't understand how close he came to losing to a truly conservative candidate (Mr. Toomey) in the PA Senate Primaries. And he still doesn't understand exactly how many of those conservatives that voted against him held their nose to keep a liberal democrat from taking that seat instead of risking a vote for Constitution Party candidate Jim Clymer. Unlike those soft conservatives that voted for the seat instead of for the better candidate however I did not vote for him. And I will continue to point out the acts of this RINO.

Specter now is apparently wary of the "nuclear option" as it has been called to end the unconstitutional filibuster of Judicial nominees by foot stopping, left wing democrats certain that they deserved to win last November. Specter favors more negotiations with a party that as a whole has shown over the last 4 years that they are not interested in negotiations but rather stalling until they can dupe enough people to regain power.

The advice and consent role of the Congress is spelled out in the Constitution. It says that it only requires a majority of votes to confirm a nominee to the bench. It also says that the Senate WILL perform this role. It does not say that a cry baby minority of the Senate can shirk its constitutional duties and deny a vote. It says that the Senate WILL advise and consent.

Mr. Specter, this proposal to break the filibuster is not a "nuclear option". It is the "Constitutional option". But then again liberals don't have much respect for the Constitution so it doesn't matter.

Specter you are a failure so far in your new role as Senate Judiciary Committee chairman. Either support the Constitution or resign in disgrace and let a real man take the reigns. Problem is are there any REAL men left among the Republicans in the Senate? I see a lot of talk. But no action.
