Back in the 80's it was Al and Tipper Gore that struck out to be the moral police as they attacked rock music. Now, following in that typical, big government, socialist mind set, Senatorette Hillary Clinton takes aim at the free markets, capitalism and seeks to expand the powers of Congress perhaps by regulating video games.

The source of her rage? Grand Theft Auto which she says "encourages [kids] to have sex with prostitutes and then murder them. This is a silent epidemic of media desensitisation that teaches kids [that] it's OK to diss people because they are a woman, they're a different color or they're from a different place"

Can you hear the goose steps yet?

That's right, Hillary Clinton wants to investigate the issue and then take over the parental role of your children. I thought that is what we had actual parents for? Yeah, but you know how much of a hassle it can be to actually raise your own kids. Much easier to just let the government do it right Hillary? I mean we already pack them up and ship them off to government funded day care right?

Listen, I don't like Grand Theft Auto although my wife does enjoy the game. But where in Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution does it say Congress should investigate video games and their impact on our children? Again, shouldn't that be a role of the actual parents?

What is worse is that Senator Rick Santorum (R, PA) who is generally quite conservative is with the Senatorette on this one. Too bad. Notch him up in the column of Conservative Republicans that like a little bit of Socialism.

What is even more ridiculous is that you have pundits out there talking about how such action is a move away from liberalism for Senatorette Clinton and a move towards a more moderate stance. Give me a break. Liberals in America are all for large and unconstitutional government. And that is exactly what Clinton is after here. She wants to expand the powers of Congress, come into your private life, babysit your children for you and use tax payer dollars to do it. If that is a move to the right then Michael Moore is a size 30 waist!
