Parsing America Hating Marxist BS

I am sorry, but as I was reading this article: WashPost editor's candid China interview on WorldNetDaily, the intellectual backflips of Philip Bennett the Washington Post's managing editor made even my head spin.

So let's make the impossible to understand Marxist BS that came from his mouth understandable.

First he starts off with this long and rambling diatribe

"What is happening now is very difficult to understand. The world is very complex. There are various complex forces occurring in it. I don't think you can imagine a world where one country or one group of people could lead everybody else. I can't imagine that could happen. I also think it is unhealthy to have one country as the leader of the world. People in other countries don't want to be led by foreign countries. They may want to have good relations with it or they may want to share with what is good in that country."

Translation: "The world is too difficult for you common folk to understand. We will tell you what to think. There are FAR too many things going on out there for you to keep track of. Since I cannot imagine the U.S. leading the world and don't think they should even if I could imagine it, which I can't because I don't want to think about it, it wouldn't be healthy because dictators, tyrants and my fellow travelers wouldn't have a strong enough voice. Besides, people living in communist and socialist uptopias where there are rivers of chocolate and gumdrop trees don't want to live in freedom or experience liberty because they have it all; a roof over their head, a loaf of stale bread each night for dinner, rape rooms, torture chambers, etc. They may want to try and be friendly with us, but only so that they can get foreign aid which the United States is obligated to give because we stole their oil after all."

Let's look at this statement
We don't have any political point of view that we are trying to advance. We don't represent any political parties. We are not tied to any political movement. On the news side of the paper we try not to give opinions.
Oh really?

Let's look at some other comments shall we?

"I don't think U.S. should be the leader of the world."
Boy, that sure sounds like an opinion to me!

How about
Bush says democracy is advancing in Iraq, but our correspondents say the situation there is much more complex than that.
Hmmm sounds like another opinion again. Didn't Iraq just hold "democratic" elections? Oh that's right, to the Marxists they weren't real "democratic" elections because Saddam Hussein didn't win!

And then he said
We do that by having independent reporting about events, by telling our readers what the actual situation is, with as much independence, fairness and accuracy as we can.

Ok, let's go and see how many stories the Washington Post has run on suicide bombings and terrorists killing civilians compared to schools opening, roads being built, etc. I read the Washington Post each day and I can tell you this, I see far MORE stories about suicide bombers in Iraq than I do about oil fields being built, infrastructure being reworked, and so on. So PLEASE stop preaching Mr. Bennet.

And of course Mr. Bennet had to take this dig
The government of the U.S. is becoming much more secretive, much more hostile to the press in terms of giving us access to the information. So a lot of what we do here is to fight for access to the information that we think the public should have.

I'll translate: "The government is cracking down on State Department officials leaking sensitive and CLASSIFIED documents and information which we want but cannot get. They are also encouraging Evil Conservative Bloggers to throw dirt at us to make us look bad! WE KNOW THEY HAVE THE REAL TEXAS AIR NATIONAL GUARD DOCUMENTS THAT PROVE BUSH WAS AWOL! WE DEMAND THEM NOW TO VINDICATE DAN RATHER! RAAAAAAAAARRRRRRR!"

Dear Lord. It's enough to make your brain pop if you aren't sane. The "mainstream" media as they like to call themselves continues to lose it. And Mr. Bennett is the latest closet America-hating Marxist to become infected with "You mean we actually lost to that idiot George Bush twice"itis.
