Just When You Though European Socialism Was Dying

REALITY CHECK!
The truth is European Socialism isn't going anywhere any time soon. Yes, you have countries back peddling on some of their asinine government controls like France and the 35 hour work week, but only because they have to. It is not because they want to.
The roll backs in certain policies are only so that the existing socialists can hold on to their power. They will simply find new ways to exert it.
Take Spain for example. Now the politicians are reportedly and broadly supporting legislation that would require men and women to share equally the house work around the home. It is yet another pandora's box that left wing ideologies are going to attempt to open.
The problems are clear and the legislation is vague. Who determines if chores were divided equally? Why the courts will of course! Does 2 hours fixing the family car equal 1 hour of doing the dishes? How about does 3 hours of running noisy children to soccer practice equate to 5 hours fixing the dishwasher?
It is a boon for radical feminists for sure who have been trying for years to portray men as the great oppressors of women because of their traditional role of "breadwinner". But in the end all it is going to do is destroy the family. It will destroy the family because the government of any country has no real interest in micromanaging the households of its citizens except for the sake of control. And that is exactly what this is all about; government micromanaging at the behest of radical feminists with a 5 o'clock shadow by 9:00 AM.
What ever happened to simply love, honor and cherish?
