The Sound of Silence

Now that the first free elections in Iraq in a long while are winding down there is a strange hush that is falling over the Vast Left Wing Idiocy and those that preach it. It is the same strange hush that fell over the "can't" do left wingers when elections in Afghanistan went off pretty darn well considering the state of the country and years of oppression.

Yes, the spin machine is about to get back in to full bloom tomorrow as Kennedy, Kerry, Mcauliffe and others look for any problem to make it appear to be a failure of the whole election process. After all, America under George Bush cannot be great enough to have brought representative government to two countries can it? After all, America under George Bush cannot be great enough to have liberated millions of women and given them the right to vote too can it?

No, the Vast Left Wing Idiocy cannot possibly accept that. Because after all they are supposed to be the party of the oppressed! So they are quiet for now. It will be brief, but look for them to kick up their attacks on Bush and America a notch as they claw and scrape to hold on to the last vestiges of their power and false beliefs.

Don't Think About Not Paying Your Taxes

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 2:51 PM

Walter Thompson who is a famous and outspoken evader of the Federal Income Tax was found guilty on Friday of failing to withhold taxes. With all the controversy sounding the 16th Amendment and its legality and whether or not it was ever correctly ratified please be aware that the government still has the bigger guns and is not afraid to use them.

National Federal taxation is here to stay in America and everyone should contribute to the running of the government. But it is my opinion that the Income Tax has run the course of it's usefulness if it was ever useful to begin with.

Ruled unconstitutional by the Supreme Court in 1895 the Income Tax was dead until Congress Amended the Constitution to suit it's own spending needs. And it has been down hill ever since.

And They're Off!

Iraqis today take to the polls participating in the first real election in many years to be held in their country. And no, all those elections where Saddam Hussein won with 100% of the vote were not real election either so don't even try to make that argument.

God Bless the people of Iraq. They are in our prayers as they go to the polls despite the threat of death from terrorists hell bent on returning to power and suppressing liberty.

When Evo's Attack!

Saturday, January 29, 2005

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 9:39 PM

Evolutionists are a nasty bunch. They believe that life sprang from the "soup" from non-life and that that everything since is a result of mutation and adaptation. They have, of course, yet to reproduce such a phenomena and thus moan and wail as evolution remains but a "theory". But when a Creationist comes along and says that God created life from non-life and that everything is a result of his hand they go bonkers!

Richard Sternberg is the latest person to be assaulted by the Evo's. And the what's worse is he isn't even a "Creationist" but merely:

"a believer with a lot of questions, about everything. I'm in the postmodern predicament."

So what did Mr. Sternberg dare to do? Why nothing more than allow an article discussing intelligent design to be published in the Proceedings of the Biological Society of Washington for which he is the managing editor. And what did the Evo's do? Rather than accept it as another "theory" they tried to shut him up.

He's locked out of his office at the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History in Washington. Remember this is a government run organization authorized by Congressional funding. But that did not stop the left wingers that often call for "separation of church and state" from ignoring that call in this case as chairman of the Zoology Department, Jonathan Coddington began asking quite revealing questions which shed light on his political affiliation. Questions such as
"he asked whether Sternberg was a religious fundamentalist"
if Sternberg was affiliated with or belonged to any religious organization.
and
"Is he a right-winger? What is his political affiliation?"

Gee, so much for left wing tolerance.

But what really takes the cake is this observation by David Klinghoffer, of the Jewish Forward as reported by WorldNet Daily:
Klinghoffer points out the circularity of the arguments of critics who insisted intelligent design was unscientific because if had not been put forward in a peer-reviewed scientific journal.

"Now that it has," he wrote, "they argue that it shouldn't have been because it's unscientific."

Yep, just like a lefty. Change the rules and don't talk about the issue.

Politically Correct Insanity

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 8:18 PM

Even the NCAA has to try and get in on the act of the politically correct insanity that is gripping liberals around the country. University of North Carolina at Pembroke has been targeted by liberals to change their mascot from "Braves" despite the school being founded for the education of American Indians and still to this day boasting a large American Indian attendance.

So what is so wrong with letting American Indians call themselves Braves? The answer is nothing. According to the Washington Times, the school has to justify "their use of the name and image".

Ok, hows this for justification. The school was founded to educate American Indians and "Braves" is an accurate description of the fierce warriors that fought for their tribes? Boy that was easy! I should ask the Univerisity to pay me now for consulting.

And even IF the school did not have American Indian roots and a sizable American Indian portion of its student body what is so bad about "Braves" anyway? The answer again is nothing! It's not at all degrading or a racial slur except to ivory tower, pointy headed liberals.

"Braves" were fierce warriors that defended their tribes - hmmmm I think I already said that but it bears repeating. As a school mascot it shows they respect the sacrifice of those that died during the forming of this nation. It shows that they themselves are fierce. But some yellow spined, latte drinking lefty probably complained and now all Hell is breaking lose.

Lefty's like to complain. Especially when their mouth works faster than their brains. The mascot is a sign of respect you dolts! And it is an accurate description of those that attend the school. So stop it. PLEASE! Just move on with your lives and let the rest of us in real America do the same.

Supreme Court Conintues To Support Abortion

Tuesday, January 25, 2005

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 7:37 AM

Despite its duty to be a last legal recourse for citizens of this nation against the tyranny of the few the SCOTUS refused to support the right to life. I know the Declaration of Independence is an obscure document known to exist by few people these days and apparently understood by even fewer still but I would expect the Supreme Court to at least understand the importance of not only that document but the correct meaning of the "General Welfare" clause of the Constitution that derives it's power from the Declaration.

Webster's 1828 Dictionary defines "Welfare" as:

1. Exemption from misfortune, sickness, calamity or evil; the enjoyment of health and the common blessings of life; prosperity; happiness; applied to persons.
2. Exemption from any unusual evil or calamity; the enjoyment of peace and prosperity, or the ordinary blessings of society and civil government; applied to states.

But it seems that I expect too much.

The Court refused to hear and have the opportunity to overturn the decision by the Fourth Circuit that said the "Choose Life" plates in the State of Florida were Unconstitutional because they gave pro-life supporters a forum but not the pro-abortionist left.

Excuse me? The pro-abortionist left has been legally bound to NOT be able to put a sticker or other advertisement on their bumper that says they support killing children? That is news to me. This dicision places the "right to murder" into the above definition and rewrites the intent of the Constitution by placing it on equal footing with the "right to life". How you can have a right to life and a right to murder is beyond me.

The problem with this ruling is that it violates the first amendment, not supports it. The problem with this ruling is that it supposes that because the pro-abortionists don't have a plate that says "Kill Your Baby" or "Chose Death" that they do not have a right to voice their opinion or that they cannot voice their opinion. That is certainly not true.

The first amendment does not say that an equal forum must be given to all. It simply says that if you want to speak you mind you have that right. So put a bumper sticker on your bumper and you get to voice your opinion.

No, that is far to simple for a Supreme Court that has upheld the murder of children for years.

It's time that the states start standing up to the rogue judiciary in this country. Florida should continue to manufacture and distribute the plates to those that want them. What is the Supreme Court going to do? Arrest the State of Florida? Make the issue of how the courts fail to uphold the Constitution at the behest of those that are offended an issue at the forefront of American society. Because if we don't we are just going to continue down the long and ugly road we have been on for decades.

And that road leads to ruin.

Standing Up For The Constitution!

Saturday, January 22, 2005

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 9:46 PM

Sometimes it seems that we hear nothing but how judges over step their powers and make laws and even at times over turn the Constitution. But it is also important to report on the good things that are done and correct decisions that are being made. Because if we do not, then we miss out on the other part of the story.

'Philly 5' win 1 in court

The condensed version of the story goes, a group of Christians are preaching God's word and participating in their 1st Amendment rights while peaceably assembled (another right). They are then confronted by a militant wing of the homosexual community called the Pink Angels. The Pink Angels became belligerent. Then it was the Christians that were arrested and hauled off to spend a night in jail.

Well, now a judge has reviewed the video tape of the incident and according to WorldNet Daily Common Pleas Judge Pamela Dembe stated that "she could not see any criminal activity being committed." (WNDs words, not her's)

This is an important first step in upholding several parts to our Constitution that include Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Religion and Freedom to peaceably assemble despite years of the left wing in America trying so very hard to silence those that disagree with them via the courts. If the judge's assessment of the video holds up, it will be a devastating blow to the cultural Marxists of the left wing.

Democrats Stuck In Political Quagmire?

Democrats to Delay Rice Confirmation Vote

Now, I know they are probably sore after Ms. Boxer made a complete idiot out of herself but this is quite disturbing. Democratic Leader Harry Reid claims

Democrats would not seek to prevent Rice's confirmation as the nation's top diplomat, and he predicted her approval within a matter of days.
but also says:
There are a number of Democrats not on the committee that want to have a chance to debate her nomination a couple of hours
Sorry, but that just dowsn't make any sense at all...except to a liberal. If you aren't going to block the nomination then why debate it? Is there anything to debate if you aren't going to try to vote against it?

No. The only thing here is maybe to try and get some soundbites.

This is right up there with Senator John Kerry saying Ms. Rice was "absolutely" qualified to be Secretary of State, yet somehow voted against her. If she was "absolutely" qualified, why would you vote against her? Simple. So that he can say that criticism of him as an obstructionist liberal is unfounded by citing his own words where he supports Ms. Rice and then promoting himself as an obstructionist liberal to his base by citing that he voted against her nomination.

Just like voting FOR the $87 billion...before he voted against it.

Yes, you are UNAMERICAN

Anti-Bush Bracelets Say, 'Count Me Blue'

Those on the left often claim that the vitriol they spout and shame they feel at being from the states is not "Un-American" but rather patriotic protest. But in reality, it is nothing more than showing of their true colors and those true colors are not red, white and blue. Red with a yellow sickle and hammer or baby blue with a white globe or even French blue, white and red perhaps, but not red, white and blue.

After spending 10 days in London with friends who were outspoken about their disdain for President Bush's policies, Berns Rothchild came home wishing she had a way to show the world she didn't vote for him.

"I sort of felt ashamed, and didn't really want to be associated with being an American," said Rothchild, who lives in New York City and voted for John Kerry

There is nothing MORE un-American or anti-American than not "really want to be associated with being an American". What country would Ms. Rothchild prefer to be associated with? France or Russia who are in the UN Oil for Food scandal so deep they can barely breathe? Perhaps she prefers one of the communist paradises of Cuba or China?

No, it is doubtful. But to even say that you are ashamed to be associated with Americans or be recognized as being from here is the height of unpatriotic activity.

Ms. Rothchild is upset. She is upset that her boy lost. Not only that but the Republicans increased their numbers in the House and Senate. She is upset that the American people are rejecting Socialism slowly but surely. No, Ms. Rothschild is not upset about being from America. She is upset that those darn "hicks" in red state America who aren't as smart as her drowned her voice out by voting for George W. Bush despite all the lies and distortions the DNC and their surrogates threw at him.

Yeah it sucks! But really, can't you just "move on"?

Counter Ms. Rothchild and all the other whiney liberals!
PROUD To Be From A BUSH STATE (RED STATE T-shirts and Gifts)!
Prisoner of BLUE STATE AMERICA T-shirts and Gifts!

I'd Rather Have The Truth

Monday, January 10, 2005

Posted by J. J. Jackson @ 8:48 PM

After time spent in smoke filled rooms with hand wringing so furious that you could hear it 2 blocks away the report is out. And the report is old news! Aside from the asked for resignations of Senior Vice President Betsy West, Executive Producer Josh Howard, Senior Broadcast Producer Mary Murphy compounded by the outright release, do not pass GO and do not collect $200 of Mary Mapes nothing new happened at CBS. Surprisingly however the fault appears to be being laid at the feet of a disproportionate number of women. Hmmmm I wonder when the gals from NOW will show up on this issue!

But I digress and really it is nothing new for the left to discard women when they see fit and ask them to fall on the sword to protect the liberal men who run screaming like school girls from the confrontation.

Left Wing Mouthpiece Media Matters Caught In Lie?

No Boycott of Sinclair, Staples Says

Staples Says Media Matters Misrepresented Situation, Says Staples is a "Victim"

Office supply retailer Staples, Inc. is denying allegations made by a left-wing activist group that Staples is withdrawing advertising from news programs run by Sinclair Broadcasting as a result of the political content of the newscasts.

Staples Spokesman Paul Capelli told the National Center in a January 6 phone call that the organization Media Matters had "misrepresented" the facts about Staples' advertising policy regarding Sinclair. Capelli referred to Staples as a "victim" of this misrepresentation, saying Staples is "nonpolitical."

In a January 4 press release, Media Matters had said: "Citing an effort to be responsive to customer concerns about Sinclair's injection of partisan conservative politics into its nightly newscasts, Staples, Inc. attributed its decision [to cease advertising on Sinclair news January 10] in part to the response the company received from customers visiting the SinclairAction.com website."

Numerous mainstream news outlets ran stories saying Staples had decided to halt advertising on Sinclair news shows, and Internet websites such as the Drudge Report, blogs, and talk radio picked up the story. Some were highly critical of Staples, believing it had taken sides with the left against a broadcaster perceived as conservative.

Capelli, however, told The National Center that Staples stopped advertising on Sinclair news on January 10 because a previously scheduled ad campaign targeted to the Christmas season had ended. A new ad campaign, consisting of a different combination of ad buys, on a "back to work" theme had previously been scheduled to replace the ad campaign utilizing Sinclair news.

The Media Matters press release supplied this statement as its support of its report about Staples' plans: "Staples, Inc. recently replied via email to consumers who registered concerns about Sinclair newscasts, stating: 'As a result of Staples' ongoing review of its advertising media buy activity, Staples will no longer be airing advertising on any Sinclair station's local news programs as of Jan 10, 2005'"

The Boston Globe reported on January 6 that Media Matters President David Brock told them Media Matters confirmed the information in the e-mail its activists received from Staples before issuing the press release. The Globe article does not make clear, however, what information Media Matters confirmed -- the fact that the Sinclair news ad buy was ending January 10, or the reason it is ending.

Capelli said Staples expects to spend at least as much on Sinclair ad buys in 2005 as in 2004, and perhaps more. He explicitly confirmed that Sinclair news programming would not be excluded from their 2005 plans.

Politics, Capelli said, has nothing to do with Staples' advertising decisions. The company tries had to be responsive to customer concerns, Capelli said, but is wholly nonpolitical.

Late January 6, the following statement still appeared on the website of Media Matters: "Citing an effort to be responsive to customer concerns over Sinclair's injection of partisanship into its nightly newscasts, Staples, Inc., announced it will no longer advertise on local news programming on Sinclair stations nationwide."

The National Center challenges Media Matters to provide conclusive evidence the statement on its website is true.

The National Center for Public Policy Research, a conservative, free market organization, briefly ceased purchases from Staples following an initial news report in the Washington Post leading it to believe Staples' had decided to boycott conservative programming. The National Center no longer believes the facts of this case warrant a conservative boycott of Staples.

Additional updates to this story, including any response The National Center receives from Staples, will be made available on The National Center's blog.

Doubt that Media Matters is a Left Wing mouthpiece? Take a gander at their website and the vitriol their readers spew about Ann Coulter and other conservatives. Seems that Media Matters and their readership still cannot "move on" and admit that they have lost the last national elections (Presidential and Congressional). This could be on the scale of Memogate and Dan Rather hitting the air with false information that it took 5 minutes to show was false. But then again, when all you have to spew is venom I guess eventually you resort to making stuff up since you have nothing of substance to say.

Staples Boycotts Sinclair News

Group Wonders If Staples Will Boycott CBS

Office supply retailer Staples, Inc. has decided to withdraw advertising buys from news broadcasts on Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc. television stations in response to an e-mail campaign by left-wing activists, according to reports by the Washington Post and other newspapers.

The activists had complained that Sinclair was "placing partisan interest ahead of the public interest" by broadcasting conservative and pro-President Bush commentaries.

Staples spokesman Owen Davis told the Washington Post that "concerns expressed by our customers" regarding Sinclair content was a factor in Staples Inc.'s decision.

The National Center for Public Policy Research has contacted Staples to confirm these facts and to ask if Staples would halt advertising on CBS or other media if it received complaints from customers. It has yet to receive a reply.

During the last presidential election, CBS News ran a fabricated story apparently designed to affect the election, then failed to correct its reporting until long past the point at which it had become a focus of national derision.

"If Staples wants to avoid supporting political media, it should start by boycotting CBS," said National Center President Amy Ridenour. "Sinclair may irritate some on the left by being openly pro-American, but, unlike CBS, it didn't team up with forgers in an attempt to play dirty politics on the eve of the last presidential race."

Additional updates to this story, inclusing any response The National Center receives from Staples, will be made available on The National Center's blog.

The National Center for Public Policy Research is a conservative, free-market organization established in 1982 and located in Washington, D.C. on Capitol Hill For more information, contact David Almasi at (202) 543-4110 or press@nationalcenter.org or visit The National Center's website at www.nationalcenter.org.
