I can't believe that you would advocate not voting for President Bush because of a few policy disagreements you might have with him! That is just WRONG and so is your entire opinion expressed in When Disagreement is "Hate". Do you realize what will happen if we DON'T vote for Bush? Do you realize the kinds of socialism that will be inflicted upon this country? Do you realize the weakness that will be perpetrated upon our military?

Kerry, Dean, Edwards or who ever runs against Bush would destroy this country! We MUST vote for Bush! Disagreement with him aside even you have to see that! Don't leave Bush over minor differences of opinion!

First, please reread When Disagreement is "Hate" and you will see that the only thing that I advocate is voting for the candidate that best suits your own political beliefs. I never said that someone should NOT vote for President Bush. What I did was point out that President Bush is not as conservative as the conservatives who would rather put someone with an (R) next to his name in the White House at the expense of conservative values.

Sorry for pointing out some of the major slips away from conservativism that President Bush has had. But they are all facts. Everything from increasing the socialist entitlement of Medicare to helping illegals get "legal" status helping Congress infringe on our 1st Amendment rights to the rampant spending are true and not disputable. I gave President Bush kudos for his handling of Al'Queda, Iraq and terrorism as a whole.

But as I pointed out the giving up of essential Liberties for the sake of temporary security is not a conservative viewpoint. And that is what Mr. Bush has done. He is trying to be all things to all people. And that does not work in politics because we continually see the left-wing in Congress and across this nation slaming on him despite all the things he has done to many points of their traditional platform which is bigger government, more spending and limiting individual rights.

Like yourself, many other conservatives speak of compromise and setting aside our differences and vote for President Bush again in 2004. To that I say why must I or other conservative who are fed up with the pandering and pseudo-conservative prinicples being set forth publically compromise with you? Should election time come around and there is a truely conservative candidate available why not you compromise with us instead?

It is the "compromise" that has gotten us into this trouble. And Mr. Bush's polls are slipping among conservatives because of it.

No Carrol, if President Bush is not reelected in November it will not be because I or any other conservative left Mr. Bush. It will be because Mr. Bush left us.

Don't blame anyone other than who caused the problem and you will get a lot further down the road to the correct answer.
